The labor market is segregated by gender. As a result, most of the professions are masculine or feminine. With regard to engineering, the masculine construction of the profession has been formed around values, practices and norms, responding to specific logic (Berner, 2002). In order to delve into the understanding the labor segregation, the objective of this research has been to analyze the social-professional representation of the engineering from a gender perspective. Students in the field of engineering have been asked about their social representations of engineering through the free association technique. 192 student responses were valid (n = 65 women and n = 127 men). The responses have been analyzed through prototype and complex analyzes. In conclusion, it has been observed that social-professional has gendered implications. This is mainly detected when referring to content related to high time requirements, as well as the hegemony of the technical aspect of the profession.

(2000) Abstract The presence of women in the media is limited and unbalanced. The non-presence makes them invisible, unknown, non-existent (López, 2001). Sports information centralizes its efforts on men reinforcing stereotypes and gender roles, which consider women as second-class citizens, perpetuating power relations to which Bourdieu (2000) calls symbolic violence. Through in-depth interviews, the work aims to give voice to 33 elite women athletes so that they can express their opinion about the actual sports press and express how they would like it to be. The results reveal the invisibilization of the athletes in the media.

The model of intervention in the Social Services is being doubted in terms of its response to the reality and social troubles or problems. This work aims the reflection about the development of the community intervention in the Social Services, focusing on the discussions that are required to achieve this goal. The 12/2008 LAW that rules the Basque System of Social Services has been analysed together with other works related to the topic, in order to pursuit the discussion about the reorganization and change of model that the Social Services requires, all this from a communitarian perspective.
