Hidrocystomas are apocrine gland proliferations of the skin that are fluid filled and benign in nature. Two main types are recognised, namely apocrine and eccrine hidrocystoma, identified based on histological findings. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice, although various other modalities exist with varying success rates. We report a case of apocrine hidrocystoma, which is uncommonly reported, for which surgical excision gave good clinical and cosmetic outcomes.

Pustular psoriasis of pregnancy is a well-known dermatosis of pregnancy. Erythematous plaques with pustular rings and central erosions affecting the intertriginous regions are one of the most common presentations. It can be severe during pregnancy and may impact both the mother and the foetus if not treated. It typically disappears quickly after birth, but there is a chance of recurrence with increased severity in consecutive pregnancies. Systemic corticosteroids are the treatment of choice in generalised pustular psoriasis of pregnancy (GPPP). Cyclosporine also plays a role in the management. We present a case of GPPP in a 30-year-old woman who was treated with systemic corticosteroids and cyclosporine with an uneventful childbirth and a normal foetus.

Calcinosis cutis or cutaneous calcification occurs when calcium is deposited into the skin and subcutaneous tissue. It is classified into five primary types: Dystrophic, metastatic, idiopathic, iatrogenic and calciphylaxis. Idiopathic calcinosis cutis is a rare phenomenon that occurs in the absence of a known tissue injury or systemic metabolic defect. The various types of idiopathic calcinosis are idiopathic calcinosis of scrotum/penis/vulva, milia-like idiopathic calcinosis cutis, subepidermal calcified nodule, tumoural calcinosis, localised calcinosis cutis and calcinosis universalis. It is essential to delineate it from other calcification disorders for further plan of management. We report one such case of idiopathic localised perforating calcinosis cutis, symmetrically over a bilateral distal phalanx of the middle finger in a 72-year-old female.

Vitamin B12 deficiency, which is usually seen in vegetarians, is characterised by cutaneous, gastrointestinal, neurological and haematological manifestations. Cutaneous manifestations include hyperpigmentation, glossitis and hair changes. Hyperpigmentation seen in Vitamin B12 deficiency mimics Addison’s disease. Here, we present a case of a 65-year-old male with vitamin B12 associated hyperpigmentation, which improved with B12 supplementation.
