Reminders are very promising interventions for improving medication adherence as shown in numerous studies. However, there are several challenges including different effectiveness for patients, duration, diseases and complexity of regimen. In this paper, we conduct a systematic review of published literature using multiple databases to address above challenges. The systematic review resulted in identifying 77 papers. After classifying and analysing individual papers, we find that: 1) reminders are effective when patients are busy or have cognitive impairment; 2) there is short-term improvement in MA with reminders; 3) patients lose interest in reminders with time, especially if the message is static or monotonous; 4) medication adherence will not improve if reminders do not address the underlying reasons behind low adherence; and 5) reminders are more suitable for unintentional non-adherence than intentional non-adherence. More research can be done to study and evaluate the effectiveness of reminders over long-term, especially using personalisation and context-awareness. The findings can serve as a resource for healthcare professionals and researchers in deciding when and where to use reminders, for how long and how to improve the effectiveness of reminders.

The aim of this study was to assess whether power spectrum estimates of electroencephalogram (EEG) can be used as a biomarker for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). EEG collected from ASD and control participants performing a short-memory task was preprocessed to remove noise and artefacts, power spectral density (PSD) estimates were obtained by the modified covariance method and used as the study features that were subjected next to the Kruskal-Wallis analysis of differences. After verifying that the features (PSD estimates) were statistically different between the autistic and control subjects, these PSD estimates were classified using the 'k nearest neighbour' (KNN) classification algorithm with the average accuracy of 89.29%. This result indicates that EEG of autistic and control individuals may contain statistically different features; therefore, EEG power spectrum may be used as a biomarker for autism.

The literature and the theoretical foundation in this discipline shows that little research has explored the complex decisions faced by transgender entrepreneurs in India. Our work describes a case study that serves as a first step in addressing this research gap and investigates the factors that influence entrepreneurism among transgender individuals in this restrictive culture. This qualitative research constructs a model to explain the relationships between factors that affect entrepreneurial behaviour among transgender, and then modify the model based on interview data collected from our key informant. A key finding points out the important role that social networking plays in entrepreneurial success when the transgender entrepreneur's skill set is an integral part of a small scale or family business endeavour. This study suggests future research directed at understanding the unique aspects of transgender entrepreneurism in India and informs on entrepreneurism and public policy in India about this population of entrepreneurs.
