Bu çalışmada eğitim ve gelişim sürecinde metaverse evreninin bir eğitim yöntemi olarak kullanılmasının avantajları ve dezavantajlarının ortaya konularak alan yazınına katkı sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır. Makale tanımlayıcı nitelikte olup, alan yazın temelli bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Dünya ve Türkiye’de metaverse ile yapılan eğitim ve gelişim çalışmaları incelenmiş ve uygulamadaki örneklerle açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma sonucunda eğitim ve geliştirme süreçlerinde metaverse evreninin hem avantajlarının hem de dezavantajlarının olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Health innovation is defined as innovations and improvements in health policies, health system, health products and services, health technologies and service delivery methods in order to improve people’s health. The emphasis on innovation in healthcare has been increasing in recent years due to challenges such as rising costs and an aging population. Innovation, which is of vital importance for the health sector, becomes one of the main determinants of social welfare and quality of life with the innovations and advances it brings. Innovative products and services increase the possibilities of early diagnosis and treatment, thus preventing future costs. In this way, alternative solution options can be created for the benefit of the patient, with the increase efficiency of the health system in the long term. In addition, positive externalities can be provided to many health related sectors. With innovation, it is possible to produce cheap and accessible solutions by using advanced technologies in health services where resources are very limited.In this study, it is aimed to draw a conceptual framework on innovation and health innovation and to explain the innovations in health service supply within the framework of the Health Transformation Program put into practice in 2003. In recent years, significant changes have been made in the Turkish health system, especially in the financing, presentation and organization of the service within the scope of health innovation. Although significant progress has been made in the health system with the impact of these changes, there is still some work to be done. The aim of my research is to examine what David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, was thinking all the way through the process of the UK’s secession from the European Union: why he made certain decisions and what influenced him. In order to do that, I use speeches, parliamentary debates, and memoirs, including several interviews with the former PM. The research methodology primarily uses the tools of discourse analysis: I examine the semantic elements, words, sentences and other characteristics of the political discourse, paying attention to the strategic structure of speech modes. By interpreting his political thinking and analysing his speeches, I wish to examine the impact of this leading politician on his own party’s and the electorate’s views on the EU. Understanding this can help to interpret the relationship between Britain and Europe, and perhaps in part, give an answer as to why the British chose to continue outside the Union. Based on this, we can also try to assess what this relationship will look like in the future.

In 2013, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) issued a paper that encouraged accountants to use their expertise and skills to “help an organization link sustainability activity to strategies using accounting measures, tools, theories, and techniques” AICPA (Oct. 2013 page 6). Later that same year, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) added “diversity, sustainable development, environmental sustainability, and other emerging corporate and social responsibility issues” to its accreditation standards for accounting programs AACSB (2013). All along sustainability, accounting continued to grow in importance, as evidenced by the percentage of S&P 500 companies that issue sustainability reports, having grown from 20% in 2011 to 92% in 2020, according to Hart (2018) and the Governance and Accountability Institute, Inc. (2021). Thus, accounting programs have been called upon to, and have real world evidence of the need to, add education in sustainability accounting and reporting to their curriculums. Yet, the research conducted for this article shows that less than 11% of AACSB accredited Accountancy programs are offering even a single course that includes the words ‘Sustainability’; ‘Environmental’; Corporate Responsibility, or ‘Social Responsibility’ in its title at either the undergraduate or graduate levels, as of the spring of 2022. This 11% was an improvement from the 2% noted by Pippin et al. (2016); however, it is still a very low level. This article goes on to describe, through an analysis of students’ responses to a pre and post-course survey, how the inclusion of a sustainability accounting and reporting course in a university’s accounting curriculum fostered changes in the students’ appreciation for the different dimensions of responsibilities and opportunities they will encounter as future accounting professionals and society’s future business leaders. This article encourages other higher education institutions (HEI) to add such courses to their accounting curriculum both by showing the benefits experienced by the students and by providing information for such a course’s structure, content, and grading.

This research article is about how CVS Health operates and sustains its existence in the healthcare market. It also illustrates what makes CVS Health stand out from their competitors, and its position in the S&P sector. CVS Health started as a Consumers Value Store where all types of miscellaneous products were sold. Later CVS evolved, became a pharmaceutical company, and began to see more profit; eventually, they changed their company name to CVS Pharmacy to focus more on the healthcare aspect because it brought in more revenue. Expanding their healthcare services also helped expand the company’s market presence. Currently, the store is recognized as CVS Health in the S&P 500 sector. This research explores and identifies CVS Health’s success, especially in creating a competitive advantage through global supply chains.

Examining data from the World Value Survey about left-right political orientation, the paper explores political extremism among common people worldwide. Our analysis reveals (i) a positive correlation between left-wing and right-wing extremism across countries, (ii) an average rise in political extremism globally in the last decade, (iii) greater political extremism in less developed countries, (iv) and a surge, during the last decade, in political extremism for less developed countries and for countries where development has not met expectations. Besides offering a picture of how successful political extremism is globally, our investigation provides insight into the driving forces behind this phenomenon.

The primary objective of this article is to present the concept of the original tool Tool-Kit for Ethics Self-Assessment (ESA), which was created to strengthen ethical values important in human conduct not only in the area of business but also in other fields of human activities. The text includes a reflection on the search for a universal set of ethical values, a presentation of the context important for undertaking the related initiatives following “An Appeal for a Global Ethics Framework & A Tool-Kit for Ethics Self-Assessment,” a general description of the process of creating and characterizing the ESA concept and information about the declaration of its universal availability. The tool is currently working in twelve languages (esa.sgh.waw.pl). The text also expresses the need to share knowledge of initiatives that, regardless of the format (whether small or large), can contribute to the desired changes in ethics: global, national, and on any other scale. The last part of the study presents observations resulting from the survey conducted in a group of people belonging to Generation Z, using the characteristics of seven clusters of ethical values used in A Tool-Kit for Ethics Self-Assessment (ESA). The survey allowed us to obtain information, thanks to which it could be determined how the views of Generation Z preparing to work in business differ in the area of ethics from the views of mature people. The diagnosis referred to the compliance of choices made by university students with the cluster ordering of ethical values (ideas) used in the Tool-Kit for Ethics Self-Assessment (ESA) tool and those made by a group of mature people, well acquainted with the philosophy of ethics and business practice, and at the same time sensitive to ethics in every aspect of life, not only in economy. This idea stemmed from the assumption that the identification of similarities as well as discrepancies in this respect may be cognitive in determining generational differences. Thanks to the survey, a generalized description of the respondents’ ethical awareness and sensitivity was made, as well as an original radar of student perception of the importance of ethical values in defining an ideal ethical attitude in business, presented here in the formula shown in the Tool-Kit for Ethics Self-Assessment.
