Background: Child sexual abuse (CSA) is quite prevalent in Indonesia, with an increased rate over several years. The negative impacts of CSA have been investigated in several studies and the coping strategies for CSA survivors. However, the resilience at the family level is rarely analyzed. This study investigates the resilience process of the CSA survivor's families after they were affected by the CSA incident. Methods: Using a qualitative approach, we collected the data by interviewing and observing a family suffering from a CSA incident, the Geulis family (informant pseudonym). Data then were analyzed using thematic analysis with a family resilience model developed by Henry et al. (2015). Results: The CSA incident has led to several adverse events in the Geulis (family, including unintended pregnancy, dropping out of school, hesitancy to stay in the hometown and loss of job and family income. With the support from extended family and some organizations, Geulis and her mother were able to find a new place to live and a new job for Geulis' mother, and Geulis was able to start a new relationship and continue her study for a while. The complex and continuous adaptation process of the Geulis family was also analyzed using the family adaptive systems component. Conclusion: The Geulis family could function normally after experiencing the negative impact of CSA with some adjustment in their life and dynamic process in the family. Environment, including extended family, government, and non-government organizations, plays a vital role in supporting family resilience.

Indonesian football competition is often seen as a masculine sport only suitable for men supporters. But now, women's supporter groups are increasingly popping up. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how hierarchical and power relations between women and men members in Brigata Curva Sud (BCS), a supporter base of PSS Sleman football club, which in 2017 was praised as the best ultras supporter in Asia. This study uses the power relation theory from Michel Foucault to analyze this phenomenon. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research results showed that BCS had put gender equality as the foundation of its organization: First, BCS has a manifesto of "no leader just together, " which implies that BCS does not recognize a hierarchical organizational structure. Each member has the same rights and obligations in formulating the organization's future and making any agreed decisions. Second, there is no unequal power relation between women and men members in BCS. The only supreme power in the BCS that produces knowledge is a deliberative forum open to all members regardless of social background or gender.

The study aims to identify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender mainstreaming (PUG) implementation in Batu City and how the local government responds to it. Focus Group discussion (FDG) with local government is run to obtain data. By using seven elements commonly used to evaluate PUG implementation, this study shows that the COVID-19 pandemic has remarkably impacted PUG implementation. No specific policies have yet been made within the PUG framework. PUG institutions are also not involved in the COVID-19 task force. There have been efforts to respond to pandemics’ impact in some sectors but not all in PUG. Human resources have not been explicitly prepared in dealing with women’s problems during the COVID-19 pandemic. The budget is reallocated so that even routine activities cannot be fully carried out. Community participation is also helpful in tackling the pandemic, although it has not specifically responded to the impact on PUG. The study shows the importance of integrating a disaster perspective in the monitoring and evaluation of PUG. It demonstrates the importance of integrating a disaster perspective in PUG and crucial gender-disaggregated data related to disaster impacts.

This study aims to determine the causes of acts of violence. These actions can occur by anyone and anywhere closely related to health and human rights, one of which is in Sambas, West Kalimantan. In these cases, acts of violence are often used to maintain and enforce the subordination of women to men. In 2019-2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, domestic violence cases within a year of the number of reports from the Sambas Religious Court, there were approximately 760 domestic violence cases. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with an empirical sociological approach. The focus of this research is the constituents of violence against Women. The results in this study are that since the COVID-19 pandemic from 2019-2020, acts of violence against women increased from 450 cases to 760 cases during COVID-19 due to changes in lifestyle in households with limitations, especially family economic problems. With the low community mindset about the equality of men and women between fellow interactions, they are not benefited in this situation. Some factors cause violence against women, namely economic and socio-cultural problems or the imbalance of power relations that pushes women's subordination.

The COVID-19 Pandemic in Indonesia attacked public health and disrupted child care, especially for those in dense settlements and classified as low-income households. This research aims to help densely populated communities provide care facilities to optimize children's playgrounds and learning spaces for free to optimize children's physical and psychological growth and development during the Pandemic. By using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, this study resulted in three “Taman Momong” facilities equipped with children's play facilities, a mini library for children, the implementation of various educational activities needed by the community in the form of parenting workshops, the importance of parenting based on the fulfillment of children's rights, training on the use of Moringa and aloe vera plants to improve family nutrition, fulfill children's nutrition and herbal medicines to maintain family health. Thus, “Taman Momong” as green space can be beneficial in improving the physical and mental health of the community. Community activities at “Taman Momong” such as community parenting, gardening, recreation, and learning together show that psychologically and sociologically Taman Momong is the answer in overcoming parenting problems during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study shows that other communities can also use the existing vacant land to build “Taman Momong”. The society collaborates with the government to facilitate the park as a public space to support optimal care for their children

The Urgency of Regulation in the Case of Online Gender-Based Violence in Indonesia
Pub Date : 2021-10-30 DOI: 10.21580/sa.v16i2.8132
Muhammad Iqbal, Genie Cyprien
The National women's commission 2020 Annual Notes noted a new type of violence against gender, namely cyber-based or online gender violence. These cases of violence have continued to increase over the past six years, an increase of 300% in Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) compared to the 2019. The OGBV case was found on various popular social media platforms. The most common incidents occurred on Facebook, where 39% of women experienced harassment. This figure is then followed by Instagram (23%), Whatsapp (14%), Snapchat (10%), Twitter (9%), and TikTok (6%). This study uses a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was the survey data collection technique with the self-administered questionnaire method. The number of respondents are 109 respondents. The result of this study is that online gender-based violence is influenced by two factors, namely regulatory factors that are still unable to protect women in social media and social factors that have been cultured. There is a perspective that views women as having a weaker position than men. These two factors are the most significant in promoting online gender-based violence in Indonesia. Based on this study's results, the authors recommend the government immediately issue regulations regulating violence against women, especially violence in online media.
其次是Instagram(23%)、Whatsapp(14%)、Snapchat(10%)、Twitter(9%)和TikTok(6%)。

The OGBV case was found on various popular social media platforms. The most common incidents occurred on Facebook, where 39% of women experienced harassment. This figure is then followed by Instagram (23%), Whatsapp (14%), Snapchat (10%), Twitter (9%), and TikTok (6%). This study uses a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was the survey data collection technique with the self-administered questionnaire method. The number of respondents are 109 respondents. The result of this study is that online gender-based violence is influenced by two factors, namely regulatory factors that are still unable to protect women in social media and social factors that have been cultured. There is a perspective that views women as having a weaker position than men. These two factors are the most significant in promoting online gender-based violence in Indonesia. Based on this study's results, the authors recommend the government immediately issue regulations regulating violence against women, especially violence in online media.","PeriodicalId":34435,"journal":{"name":"Sawwa Jurnal Studi Gender","volume":"72 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72668537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This gender perspective of qualitative research explores the shape, causes, impact of dating violence; and access to justice for dating violence victims. Data collection using, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literary studies. The analysis uses an interactive model. The results showed that, the shape of dating violence, i.e: verbal-emotional, physical, sexual, and economic. The main causes of dating violence are patriarchal culture and a lack of understanding of gender, thus causing gender inequality, parenting gender biased; women stereotype, and the absence of regulation about dating violence. Dating violence affects not only victims but also the perpetrators. The dating violence victims have not gained access to justice, because the legal system, which includes the substance, structure, and legal culture is still gender-biased and patriarchal. This condition is confirmed by the fact that the community and victims do not know, understand, and be aware of their rights to justice. Therefore, we needed efforts to understand gender and dating violence, including access to justice for victims, through student activity in and out of the campus. Lawmaking about eliminating dating violence in the future (ius constituendum) must be made a political agenda for the government and legislative.
