Virtual and Pervasive Smart Home Services Using Tangible Mixed Reality 使用有形混合现实的虚拟和普及智能家居服务

This paper proposes a new way of providing virtual smart home services using tangible mixed reality (MR), which provides more cost-effective and reliable visualization and simulation of the existing pervasive environment. One of the main characteristics of the proposed approach is capable of embedding virtual objects into the real environment such that it is easy to test the feasibility of the existing pervasive smart home. The paper also presents how to support those services by linking contexts to virtual objects and their tangible behaviors. We will show the effectiveness and advantage of the proposed approach by demonstrating a tangible smart home testbed. It has been also applied to the tangible virtual studio authoring and interaction.

A New Authentication Protocol for Wireless Communication Network Based on IEEE802.16 基于IEEE802.16的无线通信网络认证新协议

After analyzing the specific security requirements of the wireless communication network based on IEEE802.16, a series of key issues about security methods and techniques were researched. A new authentication protocol for wireless mobile environment was proposed and designed. Then, its security was analyzed from the angle of technical realization and formal analysis to verify whether the original safety goals were achieved. Especially, formal analysis was mostly done. Finally, system testing was also carried out and the results were analyzed to verify function and performance of the new protocol.

Simulating a WSN-Based Wildfire Fighting Support System 基于wsn的野火灭火支援系统仿真

This paper presents the simulation environment for the EIDOS (equipment destined for orientation and safety) architecture applied to wildfire fighting operations. The development of this environment involves a multidisciplinary study, in which we have to handle several different types of information (geographical data, vegetation models, fire models, etc.) and devices (sensors, aerial vehicles, and mobile devices). Therefore, the simulation tool is actually composed of several independent and interconnected modules.

Intelligent Method and Algorithm for Multi-attribute Decision-Making under Linguistic Setting Based on Risk-Weighted 基于风险加权的语言设置下多属性决策智能方法与算法

Decision Suppose System is playing an important role in computer science, technology and engineering, while intelligent decision-making is one of the current hotspots. Intelligent decision-making methods and their algorithms are one of the most important basics and key cores in intelligent information processing, intelligent pervasive computing and so on. In view of multi-attribute decision-making under linguistic setting, propose one new decision method. Firstly construct a range pole plan and introduce the policy-maker risk-preference weight because the attributes¿ measure-value are uncertainty. Then with three tuples (Limit low similarity, Risk degree, Risk preference value) reflect the risk-degree existing in the decision-making process. Then construct the risk-weighted similarity measure operator (RWSMO) to measure the risk balance similarity's size between each of decision schemes and the range pole plan.

Image Feature Vector Construction Using Interest Point Based Regions 基于兴趣点区域的图像特征向量构建

The paper presents a new approach for content based retrieval of images. The algorithm uses information sampled from around detected corner points in the image. A corner detection approach based on line intersections has been employed using Hough transform for line detection and then finding intersecting, near intersecting or complex shaped corners. As the affine transformations preserve the co-linearity of points on a line and their intersection properties, the corner points obtained as such retain the much desired property of repeatability and hence ensure the similar pixel samples under various transformations and are robust to noise. K-means clustering algorithm is used to assign class labels to the extracted sample mean and variance of the corner regions from a random selection of training images and used for learning a Gaussian Byes classifier to classify whole training image database. Histogram of the class members in an image has been used as a feature vector. The retrieval performance and behavior of the algorithm has been tested using four different similarity measures.

Towards Practical Virtual Server-Based Load Balancing for Distributed Hash Tables 面向分布式哈希表的实用虚拟服务器负载均衡

Current virtual server-based load balancing schemes for DHT have been shown to be able to achieve excellent load balancing effectiveness. However, they face two important issues. They suffer from problems of incurring extremely high overheads, and inducing severe inconsistency in DHT routing state. We present two fundamental components, virtual server management and active stabilization, whose inclusion into these schemes essentially eliminates these problems. As a result, these schemes not only incur overheads comparable to non-virtual server-based systems, but also achieve better query performance.

Integrating Security Solutions to Support nanoCMOS Electronics Research 集成安全解决方案,支持纳米ocmos电子研究

The UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded project ¿Meeting the Design Challenges of nanoCMOS Electronics¿ (nanoCMOS) is developing a research infrastructure for collaborative electronics research across multiple institutions in the UK with especially strong industrial and commercial involvement. Unlike other domains, the electronics industry is driven by the necessity of protecting the intellectual property of the data, designs and software associated with next generation electronics devices and therefore requires fine-grained security. Similarly, the project also demands seamless access to large scale high performance compute resources for atomic scale device simulations and the capability to manage the hundreds of thousands of files and the metadata associated with these simulations. Within this context, the project has explored a wide range of authentication and authorization infrastructures facilitating compute resource access and providing fine-grained security over numerous distributed file stores and files. We conclude that no single security solution meets the needs of the project. This paper describes the experiences of applying X.509-based certificates and public key infrastructures, VOMS, PERMIS, Kerberos and the Internet2 Shibboleth technologies for nanoCMOS security. We outline how we are integrating these solutions to provide a complete end-to-end security framework meeting the demands of the nanoCMOS electronics domain.

Architecture for an Offline Parallel Debugger 离线并行调试器的体系结构

This paper provides and overview of the {it GDBase} framework for offline parallel debuggers. The framework was designed to become the basis of debugging tools which scale successfully on systems with tens to hundreds of thousands of cores. With several systems coming online at more than 50,000 cores in the past year, debuggers which can run at these scales are now required. The proposed framework offers two features not found in current generation debugging tools: the ability to debug "offline'', and a central database to act as a repository of debugging information. These two features enable the GDBase debugger to offer several advantages. The debugger can be used in conjunction with modern batch systems with low overhead, with user interaction taking place after the parallel system resources are freed. The use of a database and a simple API allows for multiple interfaces and data mining tools to be implemented to provide novel ways of viewing and analyzing debugging data. The database also enables cross-run analysis, and the combination of debugging, performance, and system health information. Evidence is provided of the scalability of the framework, as well as output from several simple analysis tools that have been implemented.

The use of a database and a simple API allows for multiple interfaces and data mining tools to be implemented to provide novel ways of viewing and analyzing debugging data. The database also enables cross-run analysis, and the combination of debugging, performance, and system health information. Fixed Point Decimal Multiplication Using RPS Algorithm 使用RPS算法的定点十进制乘法

Decimal multiplication is an integral part of financial, commercial, and Internet-based computations. A novel design for single digit decimal multiplication that reduces the critical path delay and area for an iterative multiplier is proposed in this research. The partial products are generated using single digit multipliers, and are accumulated based ona novel RPS algorithm. This design uses n single digit multipliers for an n times n multiplication. The latency for the multiplication of two n-digit Binary Coded Decimal (BCD) operands is (n + 1) cycles and a new multiplication can begin every n cycle. The accumulation of final partial products and the first iteration of partial product generation for next set of inputs are done simultaneously. This iterative decimal multiplier offers low latency and high throughput, and can be extended for decimal floating-point multiplication.

An Innovative Replica Consistency Model in Data Grids 一种创新的数据网格副本一致性模型

In data grids, replication is a critical technology aiming at lowering the access delay as well as saving network bandwidth by duplicating original data in a distributed manner. For data-intensive applications with read/write files, replica consistency is an important issue. In this paper, we propose a novel replica consistency decision model with high adaptability and flexibility using the naive Bayesian classifier in order to improve the system performance in data grids. A system prototype has been implemented. The experimental results also prove the excellence of the proposed model.
