There are still physical education students who are unsure of their ability to participate in sports psychology learning. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to determine the level of self-efficacy of physical education students in attending sports psychology learning. The method used is the descriptive research method. The population used was 26 students. The total sampling technique was used to take the size of the research sample. The research techniques and instruments used were in the form of a questionnaire with a validity value of 0.72 and a reliability of 0.73. The mean ideal and standard ideal deviation are used to determine the category, and the percentage is used to determine the percentage of students. The results of the study stated that: 1) male students had a mean score of 51.11 and a standard deviation of 6.67 in the high category; 2) female male students have a mean value of 51.33 and a standard deviation of 6.83 in the high category. So it can be concluded that the level of self-efficacy is in the high category with a frequency of 20 students or 76%, and there is no difference between male and female students.

Participants (n= 380) measured the level of physical activity and sedentary behavior was measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire–Short Form (IPAQ-SF) which has specifications used for respondents 15 years and over and analyzed based on the IPAQ-SF guidelines. As for smoking habit data, the instrument used is the Glover-Nilsson Smoking Behavioral Questionnaire (GN-SBQ). Chi-square analysis was performed to examine differences in physical activity with smoking status, and regression analysis to generate sociodemographic correlations of meeting physical activity guidelines (as recommended by the World Health Organization) and sedentary behavior. Given the high prevalence of inadequate physical activity and excessive sedentary behavior in current, former and non-smokers, programs aimed at increasing physical activity and reducing levels of sedentary behavior should be integrated into course plans targeted at increasing the physical activity of physical education teacher candidate.

version 22. Instrument validity was assessed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), the results of 16 items were all valid, there were four items with low loading factor. The results of this study showed that one subscale with a high level of consistency and three subscales showing low consistency, had to do a re-calculation by removing the four items with the lowest loading factor which resulted in an increase in the consistency of the subscale. The Situational Motivation Scale (SIMS) instrument is suitable to be given to elementary school students 10-12 years old by replacing four items with low loading factor, to increase the consistency of the instrument so that this instrument can be used.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate practices of raising up young athletes from a sociological perspective. In particular, I looked at how parents enacted their capitals within the contexts of youth sport as a social field. This qualitative study involved 6 participants who had experiences of parenting their children in youth sport for at least five years. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. Thematic analysis was employed to facilitate inductive analysis toward the construction of themes from the data. A computer assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS), namely ATLAS.ti 22, was utilized to help the researcher manage complex data set and achieve trustworthiness criteria. Three themes have been constructed through mainly inductive analysis. These were (1) the contextual practices of youth sport as social field, (2) economic, cultural and social capital at play in parenting practices of youth sport, and (3) capital exchange as practices within and beyond youth sport. The current study concludes that sociological thoughts on social field and capitals are advantageous to understand the social complexity of day-to-day parenting practices of youth sport. However, agenda for further studies would need to explore the field of youth sport utilizing other sociological frameworks.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between fear of negative evaluation and mental toughness to tennis athletes. This research method uses a quantitative approach. The sample technique in this study is non-probability sampling using a purposive sampling method, namely 60 subjects in tennis athletes who actively participate in competitions in South Kalimantan. The data collection technique uses a mental toughness scale with a fear of negative evaluation scale. The analysis technique used is an assumption test consisting of normality and linearity tests, as well as hypothesis testing. The results of this study are that there is a negative and significant relationship between fear of negative evaluation and mental toughness in tennis athletes with a coefficient (r) of -991 which indicates the strength of the relationship is very strong, with a value (Sig.) of 0.000. A negative result means that the higher the fear of negative evaluation, the lower the mental toughness of the athlete, and vice versa. The lower the fear of negative evaluation, the higher the mental toughness of the athlete.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk pengembangan latihan imagery untuk meningkatkan lay up shoot bola basket di klub bola basket Hutama Manggala Kota Malang. Pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model Borg & Gall menggunakan 9 langkah. Produk divalidasi oleh 3 ahli, dengan: (1) ahli psikologi, (2) ahli bola basket, dan (3) ahli media. Penilaian validator menunjukkan hasil dari ahli media sebesar 75% (cukup valid), ahli psikologi sebesar 89,29% (sangat valid), ahli bola basket sebesar 64,29% (cukup valid). Produk media diuji coba terhadap kelompok kecil sebanyak 1 pelatih dan 4 atlet dipilih dengan acak berdasarkan kemampuan. Dalam uji coba kelompok besar sebanyak 1 pelatih dan 14 atlet. Didapatkan hasil dari uji kecil 98% (sangat valid) serta uji kelompok besar 97% (sangat valid). Berdasarkan hasil uji kelompok kecil dan besar produk video dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan.
