Relationship of employee's perception on health and safety measures and job performance: the mediating effects of job satisfaction 员工健康安全措施知觉与工作绩效的关系:工作满意度的中介作用

There are companies who do not focus much on the health and safety measures of the employees, because of which there are higher rates of accidents or injuries which leads to lower productivity of employees and dissatisfaction in the job. Thus, the present study was being conducted to determine the relationship of employee's perception on health and safety measures and its influence on job performance. Further, the role of job satisfaction as a mediator is being explored. The study was being conducted among 167 respondents in two manufacturing companies in Kerala, India. The data analysed using principal component analysis, correlation, and regression. The study showed a strong influence of employee's perception on health and safety measure towards job satisfaction and employee performance and a mediating effect of job satisfaction was also evident.

Psychosocial well-being of employees in the banking sector in Singapore 新加坡银行业雇员的社会心理健康

The banking sector in Singapore is a growing service business associated with high rates of work-related stress where staff performance and morale are pertinent. However, limited studies have studied psychosocial well-being impacting employees in the banks in Singapore. Thus, this cross-sectional study aims to close the gap by: 1) establishing the prevalence rates of the three main psychosocial illnesses, namely, depression, anxiety and stress among employees in the banking sector in Singapore; 2) identifying demographic and work-related factors contributing to the increase in such psychosocial illnesses; 3) make recommendations to banks in order to improve their employees' psychosocial conditions. A total of 400 valid responses were collected from banking employees in Singapore. The prevalence rates of severe depression, anxiety and stress were established as 38%, 70% and 32%, respectively. Marital status, personal income, race, tenure at organisations, and increased responsibility contributed to the increase in such psychosocial illness. Banks should reduce the heavy workload and responsibility or provide more role clarity to employees to ease out their employees' psychosocial illness.

An assessment of contribution of employee engagement, psychological contract and psychological empowerment towards turnover intentions of IT employees 评估员工敬业度、心理契约和心理授权对IT员工离职意向的贡献

The Information technology in India, while enjoying a 30% growth in the last four decades, had its own challenges in terms of competition from new markets like China, Indonesia etc.; pressure to reduce costs, etc. Adding to this issue is the increasing attrition rates, pushed by increasing demand for resources. With pressure of cost on one side and need to reduce turnover on other side, organisations are looking beyond monetary measures to retain an engaged work force. The current study attempts to gauge the contribution of psychological contract and psychological empowerment to employee engagement and thereby to turnover intention.

Vulnerability and damage to the mountain ecosystem of Uttarakhand by shortcomings of development projects 开发项目缺陷对北阿坎德邦山区生态系统的脆弱性和破坏

The 2013 flood disaster in Uttarakhand has drawn much attention to the role of hydropower projects in economic development, and also in environmental degradation. The objectives of this paper are to (i) identify how the hydropower projects have contributed to environmental damages of villages/towns in Uttarakhand state, India, using Ukhimath block, Rudraprayag district as a case study; and (ii) identify the challenges pertaining to hydropower projects related issues that Uttarakhand has faced. Primary data were collected through interviews with 144 households, and ten focus groups discussions in ten villages in Ukhimath block. Content analysis and triangulation method were used to analyse the collected data. The findings reveal that what happened in 2013 could not be ascribed only to heavy rain, assumptive cloud burst or overflowing of Gandhi Sagar Lake, but it was unplanned development projects which contributed to creating extreme vulnerability and increasing disaster risk to the local residents.

Does anticipatory psychological contract impact intent to join in Indian IT sector 预期心理契约是否会影响加入印度IT行业的意向

The purpose for this paper is to determine the impact of anticipatory psychological contract (APC) on final intent of the candidate to join an organisation. A structured questionnaire has been developed by adopting the statements from the previous studies conducted in western context on APC and ITJ which has been used as an instrument to collect data from final year students of B.Tech and MCA studying in Central, State and Deemed Universities of Delhi. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was applied on APC followed by structured equation modelling to analyse the impact of each aspect of APC on ITJ. The three dimensions of APC were explored and confirmed as relational aspect, career aspect and transactional aspect. Career aspect and transactional aspect were found to be significant contributor to ITJ whereas relational aspect was found to be insignificant in the tested relationship.

Determinants of employee eco-initiatives in Indian hotel industry 印度酒店业员工环保举措的决定因素

Results of a questionnaire survey completed by 402 respondents who were all employees of hotels that have adopted eco-friendly practices showed that eco-initiatives are significantly and positively correlated to conservatism, commitment to the cause of the environment, and monetary rewards and recognition; significantly and negatively correlated to self-transcendence and environmental training; and bear no significant relationship with environmental communication and self-enhancement. Future research should consider the role of guests in promoting employee eco-initiatives.

Building an environmental communication from environmental intention and its determinants: case of Moroccan companies 从环境意图及其决定因素构建环境沟通:以摩洛哥公司为例

After presenting the various threats that the environment has recognised through different dates of sustainable development, a change of behaviour was deemed necessary by many researchers. Accordingly, it seems interesting to consider environmental communication as a matter of environmental responsibility. This study focuses on the behaviour of Moroccan companies' managers. Theoretically, the study is based on the theory of social psychology including the theory of planned behaviour of Ajzen (1991) to express the relationship between environmental intention and communication. Empirically, structural equations (PLS) method was chosen to analyse different causal relationships of the conceptual model. The results reveal that the environmental intention of Moroccan leaders is influenced mainly by subjective norms and perceived behavioural control of the latter, notably having an environmental intention leads to 56% to communicate on the environment.

Exploring the influence of working environments' restorative quality on organisational citizenship behaviours 工作环境的恢复素质对组织公民行为的影响

The perceived potential for environmental restoration while at work can represent a job resource, given that restoration alleviates stress, which can free resources for both performance and extra-role activities. This study explores the association between perceived restorativeness (PR) and organisational citizenship behaviours (OCB - helpfulness, loyalty and voice). Further, this study tests the moderating effect of organisational justice (OJ - procedural, distributive and interactional) on the association between PR and OCB because a lack of OJ can be conceived as a job demand (following the job demands-resources model). Employees (n = 146) from different organisations responded to a questionnaire. Regression analysis with 1,000 bootstrap samples indicated a moderating effect of OJ (for low levels and the mean value of interactional justice - an OJ sub-dimension) on the PR and OCB (voice) relationship. Generally, the restorative quality of the work environment may play a pivotal part in promoting extra-role behaviour.

This study explores the association between perceived restorativeness (PR) and organisational citizenship behaviours (OCB - helpfulness, loyalty and voice). Further, this study tests the moderating effect of organisational justice (OJ - procedural, distributive and interactional) on the association between PR and OCB because a lack of OJ can be conceived as a job demand (following the job demands-resources model). Employees (n = 146) from different organisations responded to a questionnaire. Regression analysis with 1,000 bootstrap samples indicated a moderating effect of OJ (for low levels and the mean value of interactional justice - an OJ sub-dimension) on the PR and OCB (voice) relationship. Transformational leadership and organisational commitment with mediating effect of work motivation in higher educational institutions 高校变革型领导与组织承诺:工作动机的中介作用

As higher education in India is facing challenges in quality delivery, financing, mushrooming of low quality education institutions, it is the need of the hour to investigate whether leadership can turn around the situation. This survey after intensive literature review has proposed a model to study the relation of transformational leadership with organisational commitment and mediating effect of work motivation. The survey was conducted in Haridwar and Dehradun district of Uttarakhand, India. Descriptive research design has been used in the study. In the survey data supports the hypothesised model. The survey indicated that the institutions with transformational leaders can enhance the organisational commitment with mediating effect of work motivation amongst the employees and literature supports that employees with organisational commitment will improve the performance of organisation, which is the need of the hour.

Development and validation of the green customer citizenship behaviour measurement 绿色客户公民行为测量的开发和验证

This study developed and validated the green customer citizenship behaviour (GCCB) measurement to measure consumers' ecological concerns and their willingness to adopt and support green customer behaviour. The measurement was designed and developed through a four-stage process. An exploratory factor analysis was conducted on the pilot data to extract a factor structure of the construct, and a confirmatory factor analysis was then used to confirm and validate the measurement. The data revealed that the measurement is comprised of two dimensions: activist behaviour and non-activist behaviour, with each dimension comprised of two components. The components of activist behaviour are green advocacy and green altruism, whereas the components of non-activist behaviour are green affiliation and green advisory. The GCCB measurement exhibits internal consistency reliability, construct validity, and nomological validity. Moreover, the measurement explains how customers nurture their behaviour which is essentially voluntary and pro-social towards the welfare of the environment.
