Dual-band power dividers using substrate integrated circular cavity 采用基板集成圆腔的双频功率分压器

In this work, two types of novel dual-band power dividers using substrate integrated circular cavity are proposed. Dual-band response is achieved by TM010 mode and TM110 mode of the circular resonator. It has been investigated that the first designed power divider's two center frequencies have a fixed frequency ratio of 1.59. Furthermore, substrate integrated circular cavity with two perturbation vias is introduced to expand the range of frequency ratio. The second type power divider using this new structure has a frequency ratio of 1.47. The simulated results show that these SICC dual-band power dividers have the merit of low insertion loss.

Investigation on bistatic scattering of a 2-D target coated with double negative materials above 1-D random rough surface by FDTD method 用时域有限差分法研究了涂覆双负材料的二维目标在一维随机粗糙表面上的双稳态散射

By using the constitutive relation and the transform relation of time domain and frequency domain, the two dimensional (2-D) differential equations are obtained. The concepts and equations are then tested critically via a one dimensional (1-D) simulation of a propagation of a causal, pulsed plane wave in a matched, lossy Drude model double negative materials (DNM). The results show that the algorithm and the program in this paper is the correct one. The scattering from a metal cylinder coated with DNM and composite scattering from the target and a random rough surface is particular discussed. There bistatic radar cross section (RCS) shows that the DNM coat can obviously decrease the scattering wave. The conclusion means that the DNM can be used as a stealth material.

A rang-free location method based on differential evolution algorithm 一种基于差分进化算法的无距离定位方法

Indoor location based service (LBS) is an emerging subject in the field of wireless sensor network (WSN). To solve the problem of building the fingerprinting database manually in the range-free methods, an analytical fingerprinting is proposed in this paper. It can reduce the cost and has good properties on building database automatically and increase the robustness to environment. Based on the analytical fingerprinting database, the access point (AP) selection scheme using differential evolution (DE) algorithm is applied in the off-line stage, which results in an optimal deployment of APs. The simulation results are provided and the positioning performance is verified in comparison with that of classical methods.

Electromagnetic scattering from a 3-D object above a 2-D rough surface by using a Bi-iteration method 二维粗糙表面上三维物体电磁散射的双迭代方法

A Bi-iteration model is proposed to accurately solve the composite electromagnetic (EM) scattering problem of a three-dimensional (3-D) geometrically arbitrary object above a two-dimensional (2-D) rough surface. Two iteration processes are involved in this model. Iterative physical optics (IPO) which calculates the EM scattering from the rough surface is named as inner iteration. While for the EM scattering from the composite model is computed through an iteration strategy which is named as outer iteration. The outer iteration process combines IPO and the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) to solve the EM scattering from the rough surface and the object. Then the mutual EM coupling interactions between them can be taken into account through this iteration process. In order to accelerate the convergence of the IPO, the forward-backward methodology is applied. Meanwhile, in order to reduce the computational time of the coupling interactions between the above object and the rough surface, local iteration methodology is applied to reduce the coupling area on the rough surface both for the inner iteration and the outer iteration processes.

Testing of materials shielding effectiveness against electromagnetic pulse 材料对电磁脉冲屏蔽效能的试验

In order to meet the requirements of time-domain test of materials shielding effectiveness (SE), a time-domain SE of materials test system against electrostatic discharge (ESD) electromagnetic pulse (EMP) was presented. Combined with the homemade broadband coaxial test fixture, the SE of silver-plated fabric material was tested by employing ESD EMP and the paper calculated the material peak SE. The experiment result was matched with the theoretical calculated result. The time-domain test system can be used for the reliable evaluation of materials shielding effectiveness against EMP.

Active long-period waveguide grating and its application in Er-Yb co-doped waveguide amplifier 有源长周期波导光栅及其在铒镱共掺波导放大器中的应用

The performance of active long-period waveguide grating based on Er-Yb codoped phosphate glass is studied by using coupled-mode theory. The transmission spectra of the gratings show distinct band-rejection at specific wavelengths, known as the resonance wavelengths. The phase-matching curves of the gratings, which govern the relationship between the resonance wavelength and the grating pitch, is investigated in deatail. As an application in gain equalizer, the effects of the transmission spectra of the gratings on the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) spectrum of Er-Yb codoped phosphate glass waveguide amplifiers are discussed theoretically. It's demonstrated that the flatness of about 1 dB is achieved over a bandwidth of about 30 nm.

A fast and high-efficiency test approach for the complex permittivity characterization of flaky materials in UHF band is presented in this paper. A planar microstrip resonance sensor with two test ports is designed, simulated and optimized. In this approach, only two parameters are required to test for the determination of complex permittivity, namely, resonant frequency and 10 dB bandwidth. Experimental and measured results show that this approach is characterized by convenient test procedure, high efficient data collection, and higher accuracy for fast measurement of the complex permittivity for different type of flaky materials.

Compact coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed resonant antennas for dual-frequency operation using epsilon negative transmission line 采用epsilon负传输线的紧凑共面波导(CPW)馈电双频谐振天线

This paper presents the design and analysis of compact coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed dual-frequency resonant antenna. It can be analyzed and designed on the concept of the epsilon negative (ENG) meta-structured transmission line (MTL) and on a CPW single layer where vias are not required. The resonant phenomenon is employed to reduce the antenna size. To design and analyze the proposed antenna, the circuit simulation of the ENG MTL unit resonator is executed by the equivalent circuit and the results are compared with those of full wave simulation and experiment. The results show that the presented antenna has such a reasonable radiation characteristics of bandwidth and size which are verified by commercial EM simulation software HFSS11 and is suitable for compact dual-frequency antenna. Then the antenna is fabricated and measured. The realized antenna has a compact size of 22 mm×26.6 mm . Experimental results show that the proposed antenna can operate at 2.5 (2.485 to 2.515) GHz and 4.20 (4.075 to 4.327)GHz bands. Good agreement between the simulated and measured results is obtained.

Experimental results show that the proposed antenna can operate at 2.5 (2.485 to 2.515) GHz and 4.20 (4.075 to 4.327)GHz bands. Efficient parallelization of a TSW-MLFMA scheme for large scale problems 大规模问题的TSW-MLFMA方案的高效并行化

The Multilevel Fast Multipole Algorithm (MLFMA) has made a great contribution to accelerate the matrix-vector product in the iterative solving of electromagnetic scattering problems. A sophisticated parallel MLFMA for use on distributed-memory computers and the use of large-patch basis functions are good methods to enhance the capability to simulate large scale problems. The article introduces the approach used for the travelling standing wave basis functions (TSW) parallelization based on MLFMA. The method makes it easy to solve bigger scattering problems compared with other methods under the same computing platform.

In this paper, a reconfigurable filter based on quarter-mode substrate integrated waveguide (QMSIW) resonator is proposed. QMSIW is employed to reduce the size of the filter, and the filter can be tuned with the varactors loaded on the QMSIW. QMSIW resonator with a single varactor loaded is studied and a two order filter is designed and simulated. The simulated results show that the work frequency can be tuned from 1.2 GHz to 2.6 GHz, and insertion loss is better than 2.2 dB.
