many employ- ment sectors such as production, manufacturing, processing, construction and service sectors has increased. Increasing industrial production has also brought with the competitive environment in working life, more intense and stressful working conditions, increasing in the anxiety levels and work stress of the employees. Employees spend most of their day at work. It isn’t often possible to completely eliminate risks from the working life, the important thing is to effectively control the risks in the environment and to protect the health of the employees. The development and follow-up of diabetes is af- fected by many environmental factors. For this reason, it is extremely important to evaluate and control health and safety hazards (physical risk factors, chemical risk factors, stress, shift work, etc.) in the workplace. As occupational exposures have effects on diabetes, diabetes also has effects on the working life of the employees. It can cause reductions in the workforce and an increase in presentism, and occupational accidents are more com- mon due to microvascular and macrovascular complications. For this, it is important to determine the suitability of employees with diabetes for the job which they are doing, the arrangements that can be made in the work environment in order to improve the working conditions and the points to be considered in the periodic examinations.

ABS TRACT Herbs are used in our country and worldwide till ancient times. Although we know about the benefits of some of the herbs and use as herbal medicines, medically proven ones limited and these are used as medicines. These herbal remedies are sold out widely under name of medication by herbalists, or even by pharmacies, without strict surveillance, although they may cause serious adverse reactions. Acute liver injury is one of the most frequently encountered adverse reactions by herbal remedies. As an herbal medicine, plane leaf tea is used widely for analgesic effects in our country. We present a woman patient who admitted to our clinic with acute hepatitis after consumption of this plant in tea form.

ABS TRACT Objective: The study was conducted to assess the effect of fluid management training given to hemodialysis patients on their fluid control skills, pre-and post-dialysis dry weights and quality of life. Material and Methods: This experimental and cross-sectional study was conducted to assess the effect of fluid management training given to hemodialysis patients on their fluid control skills, preand post-dialysis dry weights and quality of life. The study involved 80 patients who underwent dialysis in the Hemodialysis Unit in 2016. Of them, 40 were assigned to the intervention group and 40 were assigned to the control group using the simple random sampling method. The Patient Information Form, the Fluid Control and the Short Form-36 Quality of Life Scale were used. The data collected were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 package program. For the statistical analysis, the Chi-Square, Friedman’s test and Mann-Whitney U test were used. Results: Our result showed that the fluid intakes of the patients in the intervention group in the last two consecutive follow-ups decreased statistically significantly compared to their pre-observation fluid intakes, that there was a decrease in their pre-and postdialysis dry weights and that their quality of life increased as their fluid control improved. Conclusion: Fluid management training given to the hemodialysis patients positively affected their fluid control skills, pre-and post-dialysis dry weights and quality of life.
