This study discusses the literacy activities of students at school, which aims to determine the literacy activities carried out and the library's role in increasing the literacy of SDI Al-Azhar 4 students. In addition, to find out the obstacles and solutions they face. The research method used for this study is a qualitative approach and this type of case study research. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, and literature review. The results of this study include 1). Although SDI Al-Azhar 4 has not implemented the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in the school curriculum, it has indirectly implemented GLS in their schools through reading activities in class, storytelling, book reviews, and library classes. 2) The library has a role as a facilitator in increasing the literacy of SDI Al-Azhar 4 students by facilitating reading materials, library class hours, and library activities. In addition, the library (librarian) also plays the role of educator in literacy activities through storytelling, watching films, and reading in classes organized by the library. 3). Obstacles libraries face in providing literacy activities, namely reading materials that are easily damaged because they are often read by students, which are then resolved with a solution given a budget for repairs and procurement of new books. Besides that, another obstacle faced is the Covid-19 pandemic which has changed the learning system by not being face-to-face. This problem is given a solution by carrying out literacy activities online.

Information-seeking behavior is an activity in searching for information that is needed or desired with a specific purpose. This study aims to describe the information-seeking behavior of the Masyarakat Anti Fitnah Indonesia (MAFINDO) fact-checking team. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of exploratory research. The data obtained are the results of interviews with MAFINDO fact-checkers as informants and literature studies. The results showed that the information-seeking behavior of the MAFINDO fact-checking team was divided into three stages, namely before searching for information, when searching for information, and after searching for information. Before searching for information, the MAFINDO fact-checking team looked for hoaxes to be verified. When searching for information, the MAFINDO fact-checking team looks for references with predetermined criteria using tools or search engines that match the hoaxes to be verified. After searching for information, the MAFINDO fact-checking team used the references obtained, processed them into fact-checking articles, and published them. The behavior of the MAFINDO fact-checking team in conducting information seeking tends to follow Wilson (1981) information-seeking behavior model, Krikelas (1983) information-seeking behavior model, Wilson (1996) search-behavior model, and Ellis information-seeking behavior model which has been developed and expanded by Meho and Tibbo (2003). And there is no visible tendency to follow Kuhlthau (1991) information-seeking behavior model.
并且没有明显的遵循Kuhlthau(1991)信息寻求行为模型的倾向。

This study examines the development and mapping of printed literatures on “Walisongo”. The study aims to reveal the strength of the collection concerning Walisongo among other collections in the UIN Walisongo library. The results showed that the query "Walisongo" illustrates that the collection of walisongo stored in the library is only 0.091 % of the total number of existing collections. The mapping based on the conspectus shows that 14 titles (48.28 %) of the collection above are at the comprehensive level; 6 titles (20.69%) are included in the research level category; 3 titles (10.34 %) are included in the instructional support level; 3 titles (10.34 %) are categorized as basic information level; 2 titles (6.90%) are at minimum level; and only 1 title (3.45%) is in the out of scope category. The mapping based on subject analysis shows that the books about Walisongo mostly study the da'wah of Walisongo, which shows 34.48%. The rest examines the subject of tarekat, the history of Islam in Indonesia, biographies of Islamic figures, Sufism, mythology, fiqh, sects, and Javanese history. Furthermore, mapping based on loan data from circulation services shows that all books about Walisongo have been borrowed by users.

Currently, social media is widely used as a source of information by its users to meet their information needs. This study aims to determine the motives of followers to use the Twitter account @schfess as a means of fulfilling their information needs. This study uses quantitative descriptive research methods with survey data collection techniques, namely distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are followers of the @schfess Twitter account. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis of the percentage. The results show that there are four types of motives that encourage someone to use social media with the information motive having the highest average value of 3.52 which is included in the "Very High" category, integrity motives and social interaction of 3.09 which are included in the "High" category, entertainment motives of 3.00 which were included in the "High" category, and personal identity motives had the lowest average score of 2.95 which was included in the "High" category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the majority of followers use the Twitter account @schfess to obtain the latest information about education, as a learning tool, and obtain guidance or advice on various problems of school life. Therefore, the researcher hopes that the @schfess Twitter account can increase supervision over the dissemination of information, especially regarding education, so that followers can continue to use the @schfess Twitter account. This research can add insight and knowledge about the use of social media, such as students who use social media like Twitter as a means of fulfilling additional information needs, especially about education.

The development of the 4.0 revolution changed the library paradigm, shifting the types of libraries from conventional to digital libraries. The IFLA/UNESCO Manifesto for Digital Libraries officially declares a new paradigm shift in libraries. This manifesto allows libraries to save space by developing digital libraries to build social zones. A social zone is a place for human interaction in various activities. Interaction can occur in a physical or virtual context. This study aims to examine the potential for developing social space through the development of digital libraries. This study used a qualitative method with a field and literature study approach. This study conducted field data validation tests using triangulation techniques. Based on field research, libraries that have implemented digital libraries can save space usage. The room was originally for placing collection shelves; libraries can then use them to create public spaces. The creation of public space by the library is for activities that involve community participation, such as literacy. In addition, using space to build a co-working space also indirectly contributes to social interaction through discussion activities. The next task of the library is how the library can provide quality collections so that the library can make it a center of information.

The design of the Tanah Laut Regency Library and Archives Service building looks attractive in terms of its artistic and modern design. However, addressing interior design problems is still necessary because they cause inconvenience to visiting users. Therefore, it is necessary to view the interior design of the Tanah Laut Regency Library and Archives Service from the perceptions or responses of users. The type of research used is descriptive research with quantitative methods. The research population is 432 users. Determination of the sample in this study using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 10% obtained sample of 82 respondents. The study's results by distributing questionnaires showed that users' responses to interior design at the Tanah Laut District Library and Archives Service could be identified based on indicators of interior design elements. The user's response to spatial planning, color, and air circulation has an average score of 3.73, 3.97, and 3.44, which are in the agreed category. The user's response to lighting and spatial planning elements averaged 2.96, and 2.91 was in the quite agree category. Even though the overall average score of 3.49 is in the agreed category for lighting and spatial planning, it needs to be improved again because it is still in the entirely agreed category, which shows that there is still some inconvenience for users to be in the library.

Increasing the information needs of students can be used as material for evaluating innovations for libraries in increasing the availability of information and developing the literacy skills of Islamic boarding school students. Islamic boarding schools are a gathering place for students to gain knowledge and general knowledge and religion. The purpose of this study is to explain the innovation of the Library in improving the literacy of students and the obstacles faced in efforts to increase literacy. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method. The informant determination technique that has been used is purposive sampling, which is a technique for collecting research data based on certain considerations. The informants interviewed were 3 students of Pondok Pesantren Darunnajah who took advantage of the library facilities. The results showed that the library made several innovations in meeting the information needs of students. First, the Library provides OPAC as a means of retrieving the collection information provided. Second, develop digital collections as a source of learning. In addition, pesantren set a policy to ask students to provide new books that will be served in the library, as well as cooperate with other institutions through various information training to meet the information needs of students. In addition, there is a role for literacy ambassadors who bridge the gap between the information in the library and the students. The obstacles faced are the limitation of students in obtaining access to cyber information due to the existence of a pesantren culture that prohibits students from having communication media devices in the form of cellphones and laptops personally outside the Islamic boarding school. This has caused students to have difficulties in accessing information and digital documents as those that can be part of supporting knowledge outside the Pondok

The University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta Library is one of the private university libraries which has approximately 20 librarians spread across all faculties. Each faculty consists of up to 1 to 2 librarians. The University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta campus consists of 2 campuses, namely the Cirendeu Campus and the Cempaka Putih Campus. The Central Library is located on the Cirendeu Campus. This study aims to analyze the leadership style applied by the head of the library at the Muhammadiyah University in Jakarta or abbreviated as UMJ. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques, interviews, and observations. The observation was done to analyze matters related to research, namely the leadership style applied by the head of the library. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. This study shows that the application of leadership style in the UMJ library adopts a situational leadership style system by measuring it through four aspects, namely informant style, sales style, participatory style, and delegation style. The ideal leadership element is already owned by the head librarian of the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta, it can be seen from the positive stigma that his subordinates put out, thus making the library a library development that can happen quickly. Furthermore, judging from the application of the leadership style of the head of the Muhammadiyah Jakarta university library, it is very suitable to be applied in the Muhammadiyah Jakarta University library because it can adapt to the work environment that occurs in that place.
