This article presents an approach for the automatic detection of learners' learning styles from their traces when they interact with a MOOC environment. The approach in question has been evaluated in particular to identify learners' learning styles associated with the active/reflective dimension, with reference to the Felder-Silverman model (FSLSM), which is one of the most popular models in the learning technology.

the main purpose of this paper is to design and implement a system based on a Password and a Radio-Frequency Identification RFID. This system is basically a password and an RFID based access-control system which permits only an authentic person to unlock. For doing this, the system will activate and authenticate the user. We have applied a security system via a passive type of RFID and a PASSWORD based on Atmega16 microcontroller. The RFID reader reads the ID number form RFID tag. Then enter the password from a Keypad, if the ID number of the tag and the password are correct, then the will unlock. The aim of constructing this system is to put in place a formidable locker security system with low cost and free of errors.

This paper proposes a novel modeling approach of photovoltaic (PV) module using SIEMENS industrial automation PLC S7-300. The main contribution of this work is the modeling of PV module using the automation PLC and the study of the impact of the diode ideality factor variation on the PV module characteristics. To validate the accuracy of the proposed approach, the datasheet’s I-V curves for several irradiation levels at 25°C of a multi-crystalline PV module will be compared to the simulated I-V and P-V curves obtained by SIEMENS WinCC flexible.

Several accelerating procedures are developed for solving discounted Markov decisions processes problems. The most of them are focused on discounted reward by finding lower and upper bounds for the optimal value function. In the same framework, interested authors proposed some tests to eliminate non-optimal action in order to reduce de computational complexity. In this paper, we will present a new suboptimal test for the standard value iteration algorithm to minimize the discounted cost. This criterion has many applications areas like Economics and Management, Financial Modeling, Artificial Intelligence

The present work consists of a mathematical and numerical study of the energy efficiency case of a traditional courtyard house model. The thermal behavior of the rooms surrounding this courtyard is analyzed in a temperate climate using a passive building design. The model governing this study is the equation of continuity, momentum and energy. Generally, the system of equation does not accept an analytical solution, the resolution it is done with a numerical method chosen one proposes the method of the finite differences, which gives a perfect resolution for the algebraic system by means of the method of Gauss Seidel. This model has carried out different thermal simulations using different parameters to improve the indoor climate in summer and winter in perfect agreement with those obtained by other authors.

The Polymer Solar Cells (PSCs) have gained increasing interest in the past few years as a possible alternative to silicon cells and could provide many advantages as a flexibility and low cost... The functioning of PSCs depends heavily on intrinsic electrical parameters through the knowledge of the influence of each parameter on the I-V characteristic of the cell. In this work, we determine the PSC’s electrical parameters of the poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). This identification is based on the experimental current- voltage characteristic using a single diode model. The Least Square Method (LSM) combined with Levenberg Marquardt’s algorithm are proposed to identify these electrical parameters. The obtained results indicate the importance of the proposed method and a high accuracy of the estimated parameters compared with the previous conducting studies.

In this paper, the behavior of a ring on the performonce of a patch antenna a is to dincrease the Bandwidth and to change the frequency of resonance towards less frequencies. The patch antenna is planar antennas generally made on printed circuits. They are commonly used in mobile communications because of their small size and ease of integration. They consist of a radiating element, a ground plane and a dielectric substrate of permittivity (εr) and permeability (μr), The simulated results are obtained from CADFEKO a Method of Moments Model-Based Solver.

An economic evaluation is essential before any energy project. It can be used to decide on energy purchases, to select on the competing technologies, to finance an energy project, to control costs, to analyze benefits or to make a decision. This work summarizes the needed theory to support decision makers in evaluating the economic profitability of a wind energy project and making decision on investing in it. Moreover, those practical economics analysis can be applied for judging other renewable energies projects. It can be also used to compare different technologies, to compare alternative renewable energies or compare it with conventional energies. Moreover, the results of two applications of this methodology are presented (Estimation of the cost per kWh of wind produced energy at nine wind farms in Morocco and comparison of six turbine models to be installed at Dakhla city in Morocco basing on the cost per kWh of wind generated energy, the payback period and the net present values).

The studied system allows to compensate the harmonic pollution by a photovoltaic station under variable solar radiation, it includes a photovoltaic generator (PV), a DC-DC converter that steps up the PV output to the DC link voltage level with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control and an inverter that links the system to the grid with a variety of non-linear loads. The control strategy used and the obtained results show the benefits of such optimization of the active filter compensation method, in order to improve the quality of the energy (THD ≤2.02%), while limiting the repercussions of the filter on the photovoltaic station and by automatically adapting to the variation of the solar radiation.
