Existing literature has examined a plethora of factors that can affect the effectiveness, performance or nature of fiscal policy in an economy. In this paper we build on the fundamental tenets of micro-economic models to examine the potential ways cryptocurrencies can affect the effectiveness of a country’s fiscal policy. Our finding is that under the assumptions of an absence of uncertainties, perfectly competitive markets, household utility maximization, and usage of public money and cryptocurrency, the government purchases as well as the ability of the government to raise funds by issuing bonds and by taxation is decreasing in new investments in cryptocurrencies but increasing in the income earned from cryptocurrencies. We go further to discuss the factors that account for the sustained ability of cryptocurrencies to weaken the state’s fiscal-policy capabilities and possible ways the effects of cryptocurrencies on the state’s fiscal integrity can be mitigated.

Climate change has adverse effect on agricultural production in developing countries, especially in those with low incomes and a high rate of hunger and poverty. Although the agricultural sector will be costly to adapt to climate change, it is essential to achieving food security. This study aims to analysis the impact of climate change on agriculture and adaptation mechanisms in Egypt during the period (1980:2018) using Autoregressive Distributed Lags Model (ARDL). The empirical results inferred that most of the variables are insignificant in the short-run. In the long run, the empirical results revealed that the impact of climate change on agricultural production, including the emissions of carbon dioxide and temperature, is positive. Hence, even if the impact of the rain variable is negative, but its value is low, and then Egypt has not entered a critical or dangerous stage. On the other hand, the results indicated that the research directed at increasing productivity and developing new varieties more compatible with climate changes is insufficient. Even if the research is available, the Egyptian farmer does not use it due to lack of agricultural Extension. For mechanical and chemical technology effect, the long-run coefficient of Fertilizers is insignificant. The long-run coefficient of the number of tractors is negative and significant, while rural population coefficient is positive and significant. This means that Egyptian agriculture is more dependent on manpower than mechanical technology

In a country where there is a high level of car ownership, public buses is considered as another modes of transport that is more sustainable. Despite that, there is a very low level of public bus ridership in Malaysia which questions the users’ satisfaction on its service quality. This study investigates the role of public buses service quality (tangibility, reliability, assurance, empathy and responsiveness) by the utilizing the SERVQUAL model towards users’ satisfaction. A sample of 300 questionnaires were obtained from public bus users in Kota Samarahan, Malaysia as the case study area. Using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model, the results show that tangibility, reliability and responsiveness are significant service quality factors that influence users’ satisfaction of public buses in the case study area. Of the factors, tangibility is considered as the most critical factor that influence users’ satisfaction. This study provides imperative knowledge which will be advantageous for stakeholders specifically policy-makers, transport ministries, town planners, local authorities and service operators in strategizing policies and plans that could encourage the public buses usage.

The study aims to access the philanthropic influence of malls in creating trust among the shoppers to revisit them during the Covid-19 Unlock Period. Smart PLS-SEM was used to evaluate the responses of 607 customers who voluntarily participated in the survey carried out in Delhi – NCR, India. The study encompasses the hypotheses that the social responsibility of mall generates mall reputation, which in turn strengthen perceived trust, and ultimately the revisit intention. The results established the social responsibility of the mall as a key factor in building mall reputation and fostering trust among the shoppers, ensuring their revisits. The findings also supported shoppers’ revisit intention under the varying influence of fear-arousal. The moderating effect of fear arousal on the relationships of mall reputation – revisit intention, and perceived trust – revisit intention in the organized retail industry has been adjudged as a novelty of the present study. The study recommends its application in framing strategies to strengthen the social commitments by retailers and malls, and also to ameliorate fear-arousal among shoppers during such pandemics. The study proposes avenues for further research in context to the social responsibilities of hospitality-related set-ups during a pandemic with varied variables.

This study focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the investment performance and systematic risk of ETFs. As a result of the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak, the impact in China was much greater than that in Taiwan. Therefore, by two ETFs investing higher weighted stocks in the Shanghai and Taiwan markets, the ETFs are used to explore the COVID-19 pandemic effect on the two stock markets. Jensen’s alpha and the modified model by Jensen (1968) are coupled with GARCH(1,1) to modify and test ETF’s performance and systematic risk. The empirical results show that ETF50 performance may be overestimated by using Jensen’s alpha. According to the results of modified Jensen's alpha, there is no evidence that abnormal returns are significantly nonzero in both ETFs and that alpha values have not been changed by the COVID-19 event. After the COVID-19 pandemic began, the SSE50 ETF’s systematic risk significantly increased, and the asset size of funds significantly decreased. Therefore, the results supported the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the SSE50 ETF. There is evidence that the SSE50 ETF affects COVID-19 events, and this result echoes the more severe areas of the COVID-19 pandemic in China.

This study aims at understanding the channels through which the students have become aware, the channels which they used to search for information on the schools and the key factor that pushed them to apply for a given school. Through a primary data research with n=788 respondents which are currently enrolled in VET across eight schools in Kosovo, the study has identified a critical importance of the word-of-mouth through family & relatives and friends on generating awareness for a given school and to share information on the school offering. As critical elements to take the decision to apply for the school has been considered the applicants visit directly to the school to get informed more on the offering and the desire to get equipped with the given qualification the school offers. It is important to note the impact that parents have across all the levels from brand awareness development to information search and decision making. The study provides pragmatic recommendations to school management on better optimizing their marketing efforts from a communication channel perspective, such as the importance of the open-days events of school and the usage of the social media channels (especially Facebook) to communicate their offering.

Resistance to change is widely recognized as the main reason forfailure whenit comes to any kind of change initiative. Despite its importance, there is still rather limited knowledge concerning the factors that trigger this behaviorinthe workplace. The primary purpose of this research study is to uncover the reason behind the resistance to change during uncertainty (perspective of covid-19). A mixed methodologyapproach was used in this research study to identify the factors that facilitate resistance management in healthcare organizations in Bangladesh. Data collection was semi-structured interviews with purposive sampling to select respondents which included top executives, human resource managers, CEOs,and line managers. To create themes and sub-themes computer software NVIVO has been used and 10 total interviews were recorded by the software. Clustered probability sampling method has been carried out for the questionnaire survey and analyzedthe data with computer software SPSS. The results show that effective communication reduces the intensity of resistance in healthcare organizations. The study also revealed that resistance to change often helps to explore alternative perspectives

Financial Inclusion appears to be a means of achieving the millennium development goals (MDGs) w h ic h can exterminate poverty and help populaces to come out of the trap known as “poverty trap”. Crowdfunding, on the otherhand, helps people find investors or contributors for their business or cause. They are usually people who do no t have access to the formal financial market or do not want to borrow money athighinterest rates. The study was aime d to review the position of European countries in terms of financial inclusion and Fintechfrom the Findex data 2017 from the World Bank. The crowdfunding data was gathered from the website of the European Crowdfunding Network whi c h helps to propagate the idea of crowdfunding in European countries. The study found that most countries in Europe have a high number of populationsinclusive in the formal financial system and thus can access various fi nanc ia l se rv i ce s offered by these institutions. Also, crowdfunding has seen a sharp increase in the amount of money raisedand proj ec t s funded in the last few years which was possible through the penetration of Fintechservices in these countries. The study will be helpful for the companies which want to launch their crowdfunding platforms and also for the people who like to project their business on these platforms.

Indonesia isa wealthycountry with resources,be theyhuman resources or naturalresources. However, even ifIndonesia is a resource-rich country, itcontinues to work to solve the problem of poverty.Unfortunately, there is no strategic solution that can alleviate poverty.Deprivationtriggersa behavioral anomaly in society, especially in disadvantaged areas. This research aims to determine the effect of community behavior on poverty alleviation in underprivileged areas. The study is based on a subtle value-moving approach to behavioral irregularities of people in disadvantaged areas. This study is included inaquantitative research with regional populations in Indonesia designated as lagging regions in 2020-2021. The sample of respondents included110 people from areas/provinces designated as lagging areas. Research instruments use data collection in the form of observations and in-depth interviews. Four hypotheses were developedto explain the influence between causal relationships through hypothesis testing and analyzed usingStructural Equation Modeling with the help of LISREL 8.8 software. The analysis results ofthis study showed that through a smooth-moving value approach, there was a significant favorable influence of behavioral anomalies onthe poverty rate. The study concluded that this movement of subtle values could be an attempt to raise awareness and change in the emergence of behavioral anomalies of people in disadvantaged areas. This study contributes to the understanding that the value of smooth-moving behavior can be an attempt to improve the emergence of societal behavioral anomalies. This ingenious solution can strengthen values, attitudes, mental and moral systems to reduce poverty in disadvantaged areas.

At the national level of economic security studies, a special place has alway s b e lon ged t o t he estimating side of the issue. Estimations of state economic security serve as input data for the determinat ion of directions and ways of further security provision. At the same time, such estimations should be considered not only as a result of a certain methodology application in a certain co un try b ut a lso i n t h e c o nte xt o f comparing the economic security estimations across a set of countries. The aim of the article is to determin e the level of ensuring economic security in post-Soviet countries and recognize patterns, ri sk s, a n d t h rea ts that affect the future development of state economic security. For comparative analysis of economic security, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, and period 2016-2020 have been selected. The methodological basis of the study included the followingmethods: comparative economic studies, methods of summation, arithmetic mean, weighted arithmetic, geometric mean, rating; international index systems we re used as a basis for comparative analysis. Using the suggested methodology of estimation allowed obta ini ng results that characterize level real economic security, is lower than average. None of the analyzed countri es has managed to maintain an acceptable level of economic security. The determined levels allow u s t o st a te that the economic systems of the analyzed post-Soviet countries demonstrat e h i gh p erc ep ti ve ne ss t o t h e actualization of various threats. And this perceptiveness, in its turn, leads to various negative changes in t h e economic systems of these countries.
