Objective: The diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) infection may be delayed in pregnant women because of the non-specific symptoms and limited application of the necessary radiological tests. The aim of this study was to compare the serum D-dimer, fibrinogen, and platelet levels in pregnant patients with COVID-19 symptoms and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) positivity or PCR negativity. Material and Methods: The study included 100 pregnant women who presented at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of Tokat State Hospital between April 2020 and December 2020 with symptoms of COVID-19 infection (fever, cough, shortness of breath). Half of the patients were COVID-19 PCR positive and half were negative. The groups were compared in respect of age, gravida, gestational week, COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), serum D-dimer, fibrinogen, and platelet values.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) infection on clinical and laboratory features;maternal and fetal outcomes. Material and Methods: In this retrospective study, the patients diagnosed with COVID-19 by positive severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and delivered at Koru Hospital (Ankara, Turkey) between March 2020 and February 2021 were included. We obtained demographic, clinical, laboratory features, obstetric and delivery history, maternal and perinatal outcomes from medical records.

Transobturator tapes have demonstrated good outcomes for stress urinary incontinence treatment in women however a delayed urinary tract fistulation can develop after bladder or urethral injury. The purpose of this report was to draw attention to this rare occurrence. CASE: 49 year old woman had undergone transobturator tension free vaginal tape (TOT) operation ten days ago, presented to the emergency room complaining of left groin pain, walking disability and urinary complaint.Blood tests, MRI and CT demonstrated a liquid collection extending from the labia majora to the thigh muscles on the left-hand side that suggested the presence of an abscess.Mesh was removed from the incision line of TOT with urologist. In conclusion, thigh abscesses can occur secondary to unusual pelvic processes. Both urologists and surgeons should have a high index of suspicion when 48 diagnosing such unusual presentations.

Objective: The impact of severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection on the reproductive system is still not known. We aimed to investigate the menstrual characteristics of healthcare professionals employed in the coronavirus disease2019 (COVID-19) clinics and to investigate whether COVID-19 alters the pattern of the menstrual cycle. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 275 healthcare professionals.

ABS TRACT Objective: This study aimed to define the frequency and type of additional accompanying anomalies in cases with various anomalies of the corpus callosum (ACCs) in our tertiary center in the last 8 years. Material and Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study included the data of 152 cases of prenatally diagnosed ACCs in a tertiary referral center between October 2012 and November 2020. We evaluated central nervous system and other organ system structural abnormalities, chromosomal abnormalities, and syndromes accompanying in non-isolated forms. Results: During the study period, a total of 152 cases with callosal anomaly were diagnosed throughout the study course in a population of 117,450 live births, resulting in an overall prevalence of 12.9 per 10,000 live births. Of the 152 cases ascer-tained, 105 (69%) were total agenesis, 38 (25%) were partial agenesis, and 9 (6%) were hypoplasia of the corpus callosum. Of these 152 cases, 80 (52.6%) had isolated ACC and the remaining 72 (47.4%) cases had at least one associated anomaly, including chromosomal anomalies, recognized syndromes, and multiple congenital abnormalities. Conclusion: ACCs are clinically and etiologically heterogeneous, and prenatal diagnosis is possible. Even in isolated cases, the neurodevelopmental prognosis is uncertain and mostly associated with other structural abnormalities, chromosomal and genetic diseases. Due to the underlying etiological cause, accompanying additional anomalies and un- certainty regarding developmental outcomes, chromosomal, syndromic, and additional structural disorders may be clues in antenatal ultrasonographic observation in ACC cases should be investigated with the more detailed sonographic examination and genetic tests.

ABS TRACT Objective: Endometrioid-type endometrial cancer (EC) is the most common histological type of EC, and generally has good survival if diagnosed during the early stages. While tumour grade, stage and lymph node invasion are known to affect survival in these patients, the prognostic significance of steroid receptor status remains unclear. The present study aimed to determine the effect of estrogen and progesterone receptor (ER and PR, respectively) status and its relationship with other prognostic factors in endometrioid-type EC. Material and Methods: Data from 152 patients who underwent surgery at the same centre between 2009 and 2019 were retrospectively evaluated. Histological characteristics of tumours were determined using the original pathology reports, and stage, grade and lymph node involvement of tumours were compared with ER and PR status. The relationship between ER and PR status and preoperative serum cancer antigen 125 and albumin levels were also investigated. Results: When the results of our study were examined, it was revealed that 114 patients had Grade I tumor and 118 had International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Stage I tumor and 34 patients had ER and PR negativity. In our study, a dependence was found between both ER and PR status and pelvic lymph node involvement. It was found that the possibility of pelvic lymph node involvement increases in both hormone receptor negativity. Conclusion: This study reports that the patients with pelvic lymph node involvement, which is a prognostic factor in EC, may experience more frequent ER and PR negativity. However, its effects on survival remain unclear.
