We are going to analyse the issue of alterity in the philosophy of Miguel de Unamuno through the study of Abel Sánchez. In this nivola, Unamuno examines the concept of envy and establishes the bases of a theory of alterity based on the specular relationship with the other, which it is constituted by the scarcities of the one who looks. We will also look at what are the philosophical premises of this narration, in which way it is linked with the organic philosophy of Unamuno, and what its relationship with the theatre piece El Otro is, released more than a decade after but of a quite similar subject. Finally, we will outline a possible theory of the alterity by Unamuno that it is formulated through the fraternity and altruistic help.

Max Horkheimer’s intellectual project, known as critical Theory, was crucial to revealing the contradictions and illusions of capitalist modernity. There is no doubt that the contributions from the Frankfurt School continue to be necessary for a critique of the destructive dynamic of the formation of social hegemony: instrumental rationality, cultural industry, a deepening of social antagonisms, the self-destruction of the Enlightenment, the pedagogy of oppression, amongst other things. However, since the decolonial turn, it is possible to observe some limits of its critique of modernity. The object of this article is to point out some geo-political limitations of the Frankfurt School.

Our author shakes the foundations of thoughts which have been settled by the inertia of tradition, he takes away his vestments and goes freely from other voices and from himself. His thought removes the flesh from the seals that have left marks and prominences in Western culture, to become just a thought which penetrates what has been learnt. He stands out of the absorption of conditioned thought and opens new ways of achieving current philosophy.

The aim of this paper is to use the approaches of the Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han, on the one hand, to show the challenges that formulate and define our times and, on the other, to focus this view on education. In this sense, it is necessary to define the post-pandemic 21st century society marked by psychopolitics. Education is subject to a framework of unprecedented complexity, due to digitalisation and the acceleration of a world that is perceived as progressing, and yet is becoming increasingly ill due to an excess of positivity. The pedagogy that operates through pleasure and the new relational plane of social networks, which formulate affine and disembodied encounters, eliminates negativity. Education lends itself to a demanding examination as the starting point of this society and is seen as the place where the possibility of transformation arises. In the latter sense it is argued that philosophy in our classrooms has a crucial role to play.

"This paper proposes a defense of the notion of epistemic luck as lack of control, considering it better than the modal and the probabilistic notions. This orientation in the definition will be defended with some changes based on the notion of externism and on the notion of risk, with the aim of saving a serie of problems proposed, for example, by Jennifer Lackey. Finally, the luck epistemic’s notion as lack of control in its externist branch will be related to the question of the luck’s genealogy, recently proposed by Amia Srinivasan."
