This research tries to uncover kiai's hegemony based on the perspective of language which is correlated with the discourse of democratic values. Gramsci's hegemony is used as the basis for analyzing word structures in the context of the territory of a pesantren caregiver, to dissect the level of kiai's intervention on the sustainability of democratization through his utterances. The context of power uses Foucault's assertion, that the pattern of power relations cannot be conceptualized as belonging to an individual or class. Therefore, the author tries to distill the level of democracy from the power relations of the kiai at pesantren Raudlatu Ulum 2 Putukrejo Gondanglegi Malang through the texture perspective of his expressions. The method used is Qualitative research. This type of research uses methods of observation, interviews and documentation. Transportation is an important part of the daily activities of the community. Along with the rapid development of technology, transportation facilities have also developed, one of which is the emergence of online transportation. Grab is one of the online transportation applications that circulate in various regions in Indonesia. One of its features, GrabBike, is that drivers are the main center in terms of serving the customers. Therefore, a good communication is needed. Communication is often an obstacle for drivers in serving customers. It is necessary to know the communication patterns used by the drivers in communicating to the customers. This study aims to describe the high-level thinking skills of students in solving high school physics UN questions on magnetic field material. This research is a type of descriptive research with research subjects namely students of class XII MIPA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember High School. The data collection technique used was a written test consisting of five UN questions of magnetic field material that was modified in the form of descriptive questions. Based on the results of the study, the average percentage of high-level thinking skills of students in completing the National Examination (UN) questions on high school physics in magnetic field material is as follows: the analysis stage is 33.13%, the evaluation stage is 29.77%, and the creative stage is 21.05%. The analysis phase has a large percentage so that it shows students are able to decipher information (known and asked) as well as steps to solve the problems given. While the creation stage has a low percentage so that it shows students are not accustomed to re-checking answers according to known data with coherent steps.

The focus of this research is about the pattern of relationships that are built in the households resulting from early marriage among the santri community in three villages in Gondanglegi District, Malang Regency, namely Ganjaran, Putukrejo and Sukosari - three villages with the strongest pesantren base in Gondanglegi region. The starting point is the strengthening of the assumption that early marriage is one of the main causes of domestic violence - where women are always victims, divorce and even trafficking in women and children. The study using this phenomenological approach concluded that the pattern of relationships built in the households resulting from early marriage of the santri community does require an adaptation process, from submission to agreement, with the uniqueness of each partner. However, the households they cultivate persist and last normally as households in general. The teachings of religion and the social values about household that they hold firm, as part of the typical character of the santri community, are one of the strength factors.

This study focuses on the interconnection and the integration, namely about the relationship of, education and Alquran. This study is a case study that took Pondok Pesantren Al-Aqobah Diwek Jombang as the research location. There are several arguments that form the basis of this research, firstly, this pesantren is applying both the salafiyah boarding school system and the modern system of education of technology and science. Secondly, santris in this pesantren are required to memorize hadis and Alquran using the principle of one day five verses and one hadis. In a matter of months, santris in this pesantren have studied the science of religion which counts generally should be studied in annual time. This research is a qualitative-explorative study that uses the theory of interconnected-integrative paradigm. In accordance with the research theory, the formulation of the problem taken to conduct this research is “what is the paradigm of Quranic based education and how is it implemented in Pondok Pesantren Al-Aqobah”. The methods of data collection are documentation, observation, and interview. The findings of this study are: (1) Educational and Social Institutions of Pondok Pesantren Al-Aqobah Jombang is an educational institution that offers various programs to develop the potential of santri or students using Alquran as the basis for their education; (2) it uses the MIR (Multiple Intelligence Research) method as an effort to explore various kinds of children's abilities, and so that their potencies can be maximized.

Pesantren is Islamic education institution that still be needed by the Ummah. The study of kitab kuning is an important element of it, and this generally tends to be stagnant, for various reasons. Therefore the study of the use of kitab kuning in pesantren is urgent. This research highlights the reality of kitab kuning study in boarding school, mainly Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Ternate. This is qualitative research in which the data collection techniques are interview, observation and study of documents and literature. The analysis of the data is qualitative description. The result of this research shows that Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Ternate, which was established in 1994, includes a combination between Islamic boarding school system and formal education units in the form of schools and madrasas. Basically the santri are lodged. The boarding school students are junior and senior high school students, both male and female. The male and female campuses are separated by a distance of about 1 km. They are all participated in tahfidz Alquran and ta’līm diniyyah. The books studied in this boarding school are limited to 5 books that outlined by the Central Executive, regarding Aqidah, Fikih, Tafsir, Sirah and Arabic. The study of these books uses lecture method and the santris only gather and heed without having the book.

This study aims to find out the modin social contribution to the transformation of nyadran tradition in Pagelaran Malang, as well as the concrete forms of modin's involvement in the transformation of the tradition. This study uses descriptive qualitative research method that seeks to produce descriptive data in the form of narration about the observed phenomena, expressions or notes that occur during the research process naturally and holistically (intact). This research was conducted in Pagelaran, a sub-district of Malang Regency, namely in the Village of Banjarejo and the Hamlet of Sukoarum. In connection with the main issues, namely the role or social contribution of modin in the nyadran cultural transformation, there were several findings: (1) the social contribution of modin is coordinating with religious leaders and elders to holding tahlīl and istighātsah at the nyadran in Sukoarum, compiling the Islamic nyadran program in collaboration with other village officials for it, socializing nyadran to the hamlet communities order to participate in preserving the culture, as well as participating and at the same time as the coach of the tradition in the hamlet, (2) the concrete forms of Modin's involvement in the nyadran transformation are: actively participating in tahlīl and istighātsah in pasarean (cemetery) Sukoarum until now, monitoring Islamic religious activities at the location of the pasarean by holding tahlīl every thursday night legi, working with donors to participate in orphanage compensation every nyadran on 1 Muharram (1 Suro), in collaboration with the Hamlet Head of Sukoarum to continue preserving the cultural tradition of nyadran.
