Four-Wave Mixing Compensator based on Highly Nonlinear Fiber 基于高非线性光纤的四波混频补偿器

We demonstrate a new FWM compensation technique by using a highly nonlinear fiber and a pump laser. The results show that proposed technique could effectively suppress the FWM crosstalk generated in the transmission fiber and improve the system's performance.

A wavelength reference was constructed by illuminating an athermal silica-based Mach-Zehnder interferometer filter with a broadband light source. The wavelength-voltage response of a Fabry-Perot tunable filter can be calibrated by using the constructed wavelength reference.

We demonstrate four-wave mixing based wavelength conversion using a 1-meter-long dispersion-shifted bismuth-oxide photonic crystal fiber. A 3-dB conversion range of 35 nm is obtained with around 1-dB power penalty for 10 Gb/s NRZ signal.

Resiliency of OCDM-PON against near-far problem OCDM-PON对近远问题的弹性

Resiliency of OCDM-PON is investigated through theoretical and numerical simulation. A 32-ONU system can achieve BER=10-9 and overcome the near-far problem when synchronous operation, power leveling, and LDPC error correction are used.
