Blocking and Waveband Assignment in WDM Networks with Limited Reconfigurability 有限可重构WDM网络中的阻塞与频带分配

In this paper, we show quantitatively the benefits of using reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers (ROADMs) with limited tunable transponders in all-optical networks. We compare two transponder sharing models and two waveband assignment schemes.

Design optimization of high power and low RIN lasers for efficient Raman co-pumping 高效拉曼共泵浦的高功率低RIN激光器的设计优化

We experimentally characterize high-power (up to 2 W) and low-noise lasers, based on counter-pumped discrete Raman amplifiers, for efficient first- and higher-order distributed Raman co-pumping. We show that a proper optimization of the active fiber parameters effectively minimizes the output pump RIN.

A new optical approach to broadband analog-to-digital conversion is discussed, which directly records signals in the frequency domain. This frequency-domain stretch processor can achieve 10-bit performance at 20 GSPS and is extendable to signals over 100 GHz.
