Alexithymia can be defined as the inability to verbalize affective states. One of its main causes lies in the lack of learning of emotions during childhood and can prevail until adulthood. Its identification at an early age can solve problems such as depression and cutting that, in severe cases, can lead to suicide. The present investigation shows the implementation of two convolutional neural networks for the classification of emotions through images.

It describes the progress that has been made in the "Smart Campus" project, which is being carried out at the Instituto Tecnológico de León. The objective of this project is to improve the stay of the people who walk through the institution on a daily basis, using intelligent agents, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, software, databases, hardware and platforms that the University already has, using the traditional architecture to its advantage and adding certain elements that allow us to make this proposal a reality. The project aims to census the classrooms to improve the stay of people who walk through the institution every day, obtain environmental data from the classrooms in real time and manipulate the current that can be delivered to a lamp. In this article, we talk in depth about the construction process of the architecture, in which the whole project will be based in a technical way, but at the same time making it as understandable as possible for any type of public.

This work documents the use of communication finite state machines for the representation of interactions in a network of devices. Likewise, a hierarchical structure between elements is adopted, under an organization of master-slave nodes; from which, the implemented communication protocol assumes the particular functions of each device, while ensuring the exchange of information between them. In order to validate the adequate constitution of the proposed protocol, through its respective programming, Arduino and Raspberry free hardware and software are used, as well as a basic interface created from the Thonny development environment, for data entry by the user and the feedback of information to this. The results obtained demonstrate the functionality of the developed protocol, which was implemented from the serial communication standard, supported by the hardware used. However, it is essential to clarify that it is possible to implement this type of application from the use of other standards, as available.

Quantum cryptography is a paradigm for the establishment of secret keys and data confidentiality, which represents an alternative in the quantum era because its security properties are based on the principles of quantum physics. Unfortunately, errors that occur during transmission and detection of quantum states have made it difficult to implement this technology globally. However, a new cryptographic key quantum distribution scheme based on non-orthogonal state pairs has recently been published which considerably outperforms known schemes. This article describes the fundamentals of this protocol which are represented as an algorithm and the pseudo-code of the most relevant functions of the system is shown; The current development of the software for the distillation of non-orthogonal quantum states by means of binary frames is presented, which demonstrates the transmission control, reconciliation and privacy amplification of the shared secret bits. Likewise, we present the results obtained from the computer system and its interpretation in relation to the efficiency of the protocol, which exceeds 50% channel error rates and a quadratic growth of the length of the secret key as a function of the number of double detection events. Objectives: Demonstrate the effectiveness of the non-orthogonal state distillation protocol through binary frames using the software developed. Methodology: For the development of this project, the following methodology has been carried out (see Figure 1). Contribution: The results of this software guide tests for quantum distillation in an experimental communications environment in order to provide a useful solution in the era of quantum information transmission and communication technologies.

The TecNM campus Lerdo is developing a Web Based System for the Management of the Residence Procedures (SIGEPRORE), in order to adhere to the ISO 9001:2015, which this institution of higher education currently operates under, for which it is necessary to automate the current professional residency quality management system. SIGEPRORE is an institutional software package designed to support all those involved in the professional residency procedure. It has a new and improved web design, which allows the integration of new modules, functionalities, and technological tools for increased user optimization. Participants in this project are students from the engineering degree in computer systems of the ITSL and professors’ part of the academic body in consolidation "Software engineering applied to solutions". The agile methodology used as a guideline to develop the project was the SCRUM. The impact of the project is of great relevance as it is intended to establish a web system which will contain all the operating policies of the professional residence and quality management system.

Artificial neural networks are a set of tools that are widely used for the information classification. Its expansion within artificial intelligence has been due to its use in the Machine Learning area. A fundamental part of the artificial neural networks algorithm is the so-called activation function, the above because it is the part that triggers the process as a whole and due to its result the neuron/perceptron sends its outputs. Back-propagation activation function of an artificial neural network is also described; this is artificial neural network with a simpler functioning whose adaptation has made it especially attractive to pattern recognition; also, a different algorithm such as Swish is introduced. As part of the pattern recognition study, three wind classifications present on the Mexican Republic Atlantic coast are formed, each group is made up of graphic files referring to meteorological maps with wind indicators in order to feed the network and as new maps are generated, the Artificial Neural Network will be an aid in the meteorological patterns detection.

This work presents a machine to locate a stereoscopic camera in different positions around an object to acquire a sequence of images that allows the reconstruction of such object through artificial vision algorithms. The GEMMA guide was used to define the modes of operation of the proposed machine. In addition, the mechanical and electronic elements that make up the machine and the programming logic for its control with PLC were also defined. It was demonstrated using a graphical interface that the mode of operation of the machine is carried out satisfactorily. Additionally, this work presents synthetic image results to represent a sequence of images acquired from different points of view considering different levels of elevation of the camera, showing the type of results obtained with the proposed machine.

In this paper, it is presented a proposal of app for teaching English vocabulary oriented to computer science field, using a spaced repetition method based on SuperMemo 2 (SM-2) algorithm, which allows reinforce the vocabulary acquired in previous studies, and dynamically generate a plan for learning the most appropriated words according to an easiness factor and word practice time interval. Also, an assessment instrument is presented, which can be used for demonstrating the acceptance of the technology throughout measuring use attitude to proposed app and usefulness perception from users. Through this learning way, students from many educational institutions can achieve a better vocabulary retention, which carries to having a better comprehension of academic texts that are required for acquiring more knowledge in their study fields.

Agricultural studies present a common constraint in making decisions based on meteorological data, since climate models lack precise values of their parameters depending on the geographical point where information is acquired, so that weather acquisition in positions specific geographical results is an interesting possibility. The objective of the present study was to develop a mobile automatic weather station (AWS) with sensors that measure the air temperature (° C), the relative humidity of the air (%), the global solar radiation (Wm2), the wind speed (m/s) ) and the concentration of carbon dioxide (ppm); the sensors were connected to a controller medium to which they were incorporated: a real-time clock to adapt the acquisition intervals, a display to show the information to the user, a storage module for the acquired data, a module for remote transmission of the data and a global positioning system. In addition, the mobile unit contains a chassis, four wheels with their respective electric motors, power stage, two servomotors, two ultrasonic sensors and the general electrical power that give autonomy in their movement dynamics. The climate map of a polygon of 120m2 was obtained.
