In this paper, we solve the Moroccan daily diet problem based on 6 optimization programming (P) taking into account dietary guidelines of US department of health, human services, and department of agriculture. The objective function controls the fuzzy glycemic load, the favorable nutrients gap, and unfavorable nutrient excess. To transform the proposed program into a line equation, we use the integral fuzzy ranking function. To solve the obtained model, we use the Hybrid Firefly Genetic Algorithm (HFGA) that combines some advantages of the Firefly Algorithm (FA) and the Genetic Algorithm (GA). The proposed model produces the best and generic diets with reasonable glycemic loads and acceptable core nutrient deficiencies. In addition, the proposed model showed remarkable consistency with the uniform distribution of glycemic load of different foods.

The development of machine learning and deep learning (ML/DL) change the skills expected by society and the form of ML/DL teaching in higher education. This article proposes a formal system to improve ML/DL teaching and, subsequently, the graduates' skills. Our proposed system is based on the quality assurance (QA) system adapted to teaching and learning ML/DL and implemented on the model suggested by Deming to continuously improve the QA processes.

In this paper, we propose a mathematical model of COVID-19 infection, taking into account the division of the population according to vaccination criteria. Our goal is to demonstrate the positive effect of receiving the third dose of the Corona vaccine. We proposed two strategies to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic respectively awareness programs on the importance of the third dose of the vaccine and the delivery of treatment to infected individuals who have health problems. Pontryagin's maximum principle is applied in order to characterize the optimal controls, and the optimality system is resolved using an iterative approach. At last, numerical simulations are executed to verify the theoretical analysis using MATLAB.

Monkeypox is a contagious disease caused by the monkeypox virus. There is currently an outbreak of monkeypox in the U.S. and other countries where the virus is not usually seen. We develop and analyze a deterministic mathematical model for the monkeypox virus by proposing a spatiotemporal model describing the dynamics of the virus between humans. The existence, the positivity, and the boundedness of the solutions have been proved. Moreover, with the help of the optimal control, we add two different controls (blocking of contact and treatment in the case of infection) to prevent the propagation of monkeypox between humans. Finally, we present brief comments and numerical simulations to illustrate our findings. The results show that keeping diseased people apart from the general population minimizes the spread of disease.

We propose an approximation of pair correlations for solving the equations of the kinetic theory of long-wave (or large-scale) fluctuations in gaseous media. The basic ones are the general nonlinear equations of the large-scale fluctuations theory at the kinetic stage of system evolution, derived from the first principles of statistical mechanics. We show that based on the equations of the long-wave fluctuations kinetics in the case of weak interaction between particles, in the approximation of pair fluctuations it is possible to reproduce the main results of the quasi-linear theory of plasma. Thus, the well-known quasi-linear theory of plasma is provided with a first-principle justification.

Currently, feature screening is becoming an important topic in the fields of machine learning and high-dimensional data analysis. Filtering out irrelevant features from a set of variables is considered to be an important preliminary step that should be performed before any data analysis. Many approaches have been proposed to the same topic after the work of Fan and Lv (J. Royal Stat. Soc., Ser. B. 70 (5), 849–911 (2008)), who introduced the sure screening property. However, the performance of these methods differs from one paper to another. In this work, we aim to add to this list a new algorithm performing feature screening inspired by the Kendall interaction filter (J. Appl. Stat. 50 (7), 1496–1514 (2020)) when the response variable is continuous. The good behavior of our algorithm is proved through a comparison with an existing method, proposed in this work under several simulation scenarios.

Selecting the best project management method at the workplace helps to deliver a high-quality product to the customer. Hence, the need for good knowledge of management methods, their characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages, is necessary to be able to select the best for the specific project. However, until now, no large dataset for Machine Learning and decision-making model, model or system has been proposed to help project managers to the most efficient method adapted to the constraints of their projects. This work develops the construction of the dataset for agile and IoT project management method based on the real experiences. In this paper, our objective is to propose a criteria-based model that allows the choice of the best management method to adopt for such an IT or IoT project according to a set of criteria.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the most emerging and revolutionary technologies of this century. The IoT is a network of dedicated devices called things deployed and used to collect, handle and exchange real-world data over the Internet or other networks. Combined with automation systems, IoT devices can help manage, monitor, and alert users to the changes in their environment, assist them to make smarter decisions, facilitate daily life, and contribute to the development of the economy and industry. Nevertheless, the exponential growth of IoT equipment as well as the absence of common international standards leads to huge challenges, among which are security and performance. Indeed, with an increasing number of devices, the old methods of managing connected devices become inappropriate, which creates security breaches. Furthermore, the limited resources of IoT devices besides the nature of their network prevent the implementation of strong and sophisticated security measures on them. As a result, IoT appliances are vulnerable and prone to many security threats and intrusions. This paper presents an overview of IoT issues and challenges. Also, it exhibits a deep analysis of the solutions proposed in the literature for these issues. This assists to mark the concerns that still require to be handled, well outlines the mainstream of research direction, and clears the way for new avenues of research for forthcoming researchers. Finally, we deliver a guide or support for scientists interested in the Internet of Things.

The objective of this research is to examine the steady incompressible two-dimensional hydromagnetic boundary layer flow of nanofluid passing through a stretched sheet in the influence of viscous and ohmic dissipations. The present problem is obtained with the help of an analytical technique called DTM-Pade Approximation. The mathematical modeling of the flow is considered in the form of the partial differential equation and is transformed into a differential equation through suitable similarity transformation. The force of fixed parameters like thermophoresis number Nt, Brownian motion number Nb, Prandtl number Pr, Lewis number Le, Magnetic field M, suction/injection S and Eckart number Ec are displayed with the aid of Figures. Our outcomes showed a greater trend in the velocity profile for the parameters of magnetics M, suction S, and nonlinear stretching parameter n. While the reverse trend is found against the temperature profile when the Prandtl number increases. Lewis number and other parameters have shown increasing behavior in the concentration profile.
