Sexual differentiation as a determinant of the cognitive sphere of programmers in professional activity and at the stage of university training 在专业活动和大学培训阶段,性别差异是程序员认知范围的决定因素

Introduction. The relevance of the work is due to the rapid changes in the field of education associated with widespread digitalization. In this regard, the training of specialists whose activities are aimed at working with digital means is especially significant. The aim of the work was to study the problem of explaining the specifics of programmers’ activity according to the criterion of sexual differentiation, both at the stage of university training and at the stage of professionalization, which is relevant in theoretical and practical terms. Within its framework, a comprehensive study of the basic cognitive determinants of this activity at the level of their structural organization was carried out for the first time. Materials and methods of research. R. Amthauer's test was used to diagnose the main parameters of the cognitive subsystem, as well as to determine its overall potential. Methods of mathematical and statistical processing were also used (multivariate correlation analysis, the method of structural analysis of intercorrelation matrices, etc.) and methods based on the methodology of structural psychological analysis. The study involved 284 people (of which 178 students of specialized specialties of the Yaroslavl University named after P.G. Demidov, Yaroslavl and 106 IT specialists). The results of the study. For the first time, it was established that differences in the content of cognitive support for programmers’ activity between men and women take place mainly at the structural level of the organization of the cognitive subsystem of the psyche that is in terms of the content and structure of the organization of basic cognitive qualities. This is manifested in the qualitative heterogeneity of such structures according to the criterion of sexual differentiation. So the coherence index in men significantly exceeds that of women (ICSm=33 and 34 students and specialists, respectively, ICSf =21 and 29 students and specialists), All the revealed differences are found, first of all, at the stage of professional training, whereas in relation to the stage of the actual professional activity they become significantly less pronounced. Therefore, the differences themselves in the structural organization of the cognitive sphere and the specifics of their manifestations in the activity of programmers are more determined by the factors of sexual differentiation. Their role, however, becomes less pronounced with professionalization, and it is replaced by an increasing degree of activity determination proper. Conclusion. A number of new data have been obtained that reveal and explain the general pattern, which consists in the fact that differences in the cognitive support of programmers’ activity between men and women are determined mainly by structural features and patterns, that is, localized at the structural, and not at the analytical level of their organization. Social attitudes and values of children in new realities 新现实中儿童的社会态度和价值观

Introduction. The problem of shaping social attitudes and life values is currently being brought up to date by the social changes caused by the crisis in political and public life, which entails the destruction of habitual stereotypes. Children are faced with the challenge of finding their place in a rapidly changing world. The aim of this article is to explore the social attitudes and life values of children from the Kherson region. Research methodology and methodologies. The research methodological basis is the systematic approach of B. F. Lomov. The research involved 221 children from the Kherson region on holiday in children’s health camps in the Republic of Crimea. The age of the participants ranged from 7 to 17 years old. The empirical basis consisted of methods: the author’s observation card for the students’ state and behavior, questionnaire to measure general social attitudes in children E. Frankel-Brunswick, associative experiment, test “Meaning-Life Orientations” in the adaptation of D.A. Leontiev, I. G. Senin’s questionnaire terminal values. For statistical processing of the research materials the calculation of descriptive statistics (M±SD), Pearson correlation analysis (r) and analysis of variance (F) were applied. Results. The study was conducted within the framework of the project "Center for Human Social Identification" (Priority-2030). Based on the analysis of the observation map, respondents revealed disturbed or unstable behavior (22.5%), sleep disorders (16.5%), attention disorders (16.5%), learning difficulties (16.5%), aggressiveness (15%), acute feeling of loneliness (10.5%), isolation, refusal of communication (10.5%), frequent headaches, abdominal pain (10.5%), communication disorders (8.6%), helplessness (6.6%), anxiety, fear for loved ones left in their small homeland (6%), self-destructive behavior (5.3%), memory impairment (3.7%), tremor, tics (3%), which indicates psychophysical stress and insufficient adaptation to the new social situation of development, low level of prejudice, orientation of goals for the future, dissatisfaction with life "here and now". The most relevant areas for them are training, education and professional life. Analysis of the results of E. Frenkel-Brunswick questionnaire to measure the children's general social attitudes showed that the majority of children revealed extremely low (23.8%), low (33.3%) and lowered (38%) levels of prejudice. The average level of prejudice was recorded at 4.9%. Statistically significant correlations between the indicators of behavioural and emotional disorders were recorded. The analysis of descriptive statistics calculated taking into account the gender of the respondents showed that there were no significant differences between the subgroups of girls and boys in terms of the indicators included in the analysis. Creative thinking skill of junior high school students in solving mathematical pattern problems based on sex 初中生解决性别数学模式题的创造性思维能力

The problem and the aim of the study. Nowadays, in the era of digital technology, the ability to think creatively is one of the abilities that students must have. One of these abilities can be developed through learning mathematics. The problem so far is that students' creative thinking abilities in Indonesia have not shown optimal results. To justify this, it is necessary to study the ability to think creatively by looking at the gender aspect of students. So far, many people believe that gender does not affect a person's thinking ability in solving math problems, even though many studies show that women are more patient, precise, and more structured in their thinking. This study aims to determine creative thinking skills in solving mathematical pattern problems based on sex in grade 8 students of Junior High School. Research methods. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 8th-grade junior high school students in Madiun, East Java, Indonesia, which consisted of 2 female students and two male students. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself. In addition, the instrument is assisted by tests of creative thinking skills and interviews. The indicators of creative thinking in this study are fluency, flexibility, and novelty. Results. The results showed that male subjects were able to fulfill all indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency by answering question number one by providing six alternative answers, flexibility by answering question number two by providing four ways of completion, and novelty by giving answers in new ways or different from other students. Female subjects are only able to meet two indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency by answering question number one by providing three alternative answers and flexibility by answering question number two by describing two ways of solving, and unable to meet the indicator of novelty because it does not provide new or different ways with other students. In conclusion, based on research, it was found that male subjects could fulfill all indicators of creative thinking. In contrast, female subjects could only complete two indicators of creative thinking. This shows that male students have better mathematical creative thinking skills than female students. In addition, this study also indicates that the ability to think creatively mathematically is influenced by the sex of the students.

Internet information as a factor of a person’s emotional and psychological well-being 互联网信息作为一个人的情绪和心理健康的因素

Introduction. Information in modern society acts as a cultural tool influencing human socialisation processes. However, the amount of information consumed by a human is so extensive that it leads to information overload; its consequences on a person’s emotional and psychological well-being are not sufficiently studied, which determines the relevance of the present study. The issues of trust in mass media and human’s psychological well-being have been studied most often in modern psychological science as independent phenomena. Most often researchers focus on analysing the impact of news content on human well-being regardless of the extent of trust in it. The aim of the study was to reveal the relationship between the level of trust in digital media and a person’s emotional and psychological well-being. Materials and methods. The study involved 456 1st – 5th year students of the State University for Humanities and Social Studies (M=116, W=340, average age 19.7±2.8). The Integrative anxiety test; the Basic beliefs scale; the Psychological well-being scale were used to study one’s emotional and psychological well-being. The level of trust in mass media was measured with the use of the original questionnaire. Results. It was found that people who trust Internet media have more expressed emotional and personal problems reducing the level of their psychological well-being: anxiety about the future (p=0.004), depression (p=0.011), negative self-esteem and dissatisfaction with circumstances of their life (p=0.034). As shown by the factor analysis, the main correlatives of emotional and psychological ill-being in groups of those who trust and do not trust the media are as follows: expressed anxiety, low level of self-esteem and self-value, use of the emotional strategy for coping with stress (factor 2 “Emotional discomfort”). The ill-being of people who trust information in the Internet increases when they turn to the strategy of emotional social support in difficult situations, and the overall balance of well-being in people who do not trust the Internet can be disrupted in case of “crisis of beliefs” (factor 2 “Emotional discomfort”). Conclusion. The obtained results help to gain deeper understanding of the mechanisms of influence of Internet sources on human psychological well-being and to develop “healthy” media consumption programmes. Further research in this area can be focused on in-depth search for a set of determinant psychological variables – psychological well-being development protectors, with regard for gender, age and individual psychological characteristics of a person underlying trust in consumed information.

Information in modern society acts as a cultural tool influencing human socialisation processes. However, the amount of information consumed by a human is so extensive that it leads to information overload; its consequences on a person’s emotional and psychological well-being are not sufficiently studied, which determines the relevance of the present study. The issues of trust in mass media and human’s psychological well-being have been studied most often in modern psychological science as independent phenomena. Most often researchers focus on analysing the impact of news content on human well-being regardless of the extent of trust in it. The aim of the study was to reveal the relationship between the level of trust in digital media and a person’s emotional and psychological well-being. Materials and methods. The study involved 456 1st – 5th year students of the State University for Humanities and Social Studies (M=116, W=340, average age 19.7±2.8). The Integrative anxiety test; the Basic beliefs scale; the Psychological well-being scale were used to study one’s emotional and psychological well-being. The level of trust in mass media was measured with the use of the original questionnaire. Results. It was found that people who trust Internet media have more expressed emotional and personal problems reducing the level of their psychological well-being: anxiety about the future (p=0.004), depression (p=0.011), negative self-esteem and dissatisfaction with circumstances of their life (p=0.034). As shown by the factor analysis, the main correlatives of emotional and psychological ill-being in groups of those who trust and do not trust the media are as follows: expressed anxiety, low level of self-esteem and self-value, use of the emotional strategy for coping with stress (factor 2 “Emotional discomfort”). The ill-being of people who trust information in the Internet increases when they turn to the strategy of emotional social support in difficult situations, and the overall balance of well-being in people who do not trust the Internet can be disrupted in case of “crisis of beliefs” (factor 2 “Emotional discomfort”). Conclusion. The obtained results help to gain deeper understanding of the mechanisms of influence of Internet sources on human psychological well-being and to develop “healthy” media consumption programmes. Introduction. The development of educational motivation and creativity of each student is possible in the conditions of complex knowledge level adaptation with the support of hybrid intelligent systems. The multiplicity of goal-setting and choice, the symbiosis of mathematical and computer modeling become the real result of founding complexes mastering multi-stage mathematical and informational tasks in student’s research activity in secondary school. These processes lead to each student’s self-organization and cultures dialogue, support for the development of scientific knowledge methods and modern achievements in science adaptation to school mathematics. The main objective of the study is the development of methodological, substantive and technological foundations of the design and actualization of digital transformation processes and hybrid intellectual environment support of student’s scientific potential growth. Support of hybrid intellectual environment in the development of hierarchical bases and founding complexes of multi-stage mathematical and informational tasks in student’s research activities are revealed. Materials and methods. Using the methods of visual modeling and founding of personal experience, the architecture, parameters and functional organization of the intellectual management of each student’s design and research activities in a rich information and educational environment of complex mathematical knowledge mastering are determined. Founding complexes research of multy-stage mathematical and informational tasks are presented as mechanism of each student’s scientific potential growth. Mathematical and computer modeling is the main instrument of modern achievements in science adaptation to school mathematics. Results. We propose the following typology and stages of design levels of student’s research activity in hybrid intellectual environment: search-reproductive, empirical, theoretical and creative. The architecture, content and structure support of hybrid neural environment determine the factors of effective growth of each student’s scientific potential. The technological stages of founding procedures into the adaptation processes of complex knowledge introduction (modern achievements of science) to school mathematics reveal the orientation and essence of pedagogical innovations. The model of founding generalized cluster for the adapting process of complex knowledge mastering (using the example of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic) integrates the motivational, meaningful and applied complexes to support the creative activity of each student. Conclusions. The implementation of these stages led to synergetic effects manifestation and phenomenological type of modeling reflection of generalized construct essence and each student’s research activity with hybrid neural environment to support the growth of student’s scientific potential.

International experience of Internet socialization of young people and their professionally oriented communication on social networks 青少年网络社会化的国际经验及其在社交网络上的专业交流

Introduction. At present, there is a need to train scientific personnel professionally oriented toward using modern Internet technologies. The research on the international experience of professionally oriented communication will make it possible to reveal the technologies of Internet socialization of youth and rethink the value of social networks for professional pedagogy. The aim of the study is to analyze the international experience of Internet socialization of young people and their professionally oriented communication on social networks. Materials and methods. To conduct the analysis, the authors used the Scopus and WoS databases and other international information systems, the Dimensions.ai and Lens.org services, and the VOSviewer software for building bibliometric data and analyzing the emergence of the terminological apparatus in world-class publications on the study topic. Results. The results of the search and critical rethinking of the international experience of Internet socialization of young people and their professionally oriented communication on social networks allowed using the theoretical findings of the international scientific community to rethink and refine the conceptual apparatus of professional pedagogy focused on the use of Internet-oriented technologies. The level of publication activity was also changing: there were more publications at the peak of activity and a stronger decline thereafter. For instance, in 2017, there were 900 publications, while in 2018 and 2019, publication activity decreased by 15%, stopping at the mark of 800 publications per year. In 2021, the number of publications fell by another 25% to 607 publications. The distribution map of publications made it possible to reveal the main areas of research on the problem of Internet socialization: psychology (3074 publications for the whole period), social psychology (1144 publications) and sociology (1911 publications), computer science (866 publications), and pedagogy (836 publications). Conclusion. The presented analysis of the international experience of Internet socialization of youth made it possible to identify professionally oriented technologies for the professional communication of the young generation, such as social networks, professional communities, professional Internet resources, videoconferencing systems, open education systems, distance learning technologies, Internet of Things technologies, freelancing, and remote internships.

Innovative meanings of upbringing: game as a navigator of personality development 教养的创新意义:游戏作为个性发展的领航员

Introduction. Modern conditions pose the task of modernizing education in general and searching for innovative meanings of upbringing in particular. The relevance of this issue is associated with the need to rethink the innovative meanings of upbringing and to identify qualities, structural elements, and associations, which were missing before. The aim of the study is to develop an innovative classification of games (necessary as a social navigator of personality development), representing a special innovative meaning of upbringing. Materials and methods. The study involved 86 practicing teachers and students of the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy of I.A. Bunin Yelets State University (Russian Federation), students of pedagogical classes. All respondents had different work experience. The questionnaire contained 13 questions (9 – with a choice of answers and 4 – with a free interpretation of the answer). For statistical data processing, the methods of percentage distribution were used. Results. The empirical results showed that 63% of respondents had a positive attitude toward games and gaming activity, 67% preferred team games, 35% liked the game process itself, and 30% of respondents indicated the prospect of personality development as a motivation for the game. The study also demonstrated that despite the choice of six classes of games, the respondents gave priority to computer games (19%), board games (28%), action-oriented games (27%), and phygital games (16%). This state of affairs made it possible to develop an innovative classification of games as a navigator of personality development. Conclusion. The game as a social navigator of personality development and the author’s classification of games set innovative meanings of upbringing, related to the navigational component of personality development, specific classification of games, development of the game model, and improvement of the game technology/algorithm. The developed author’s classification of games has no exact counterparts in the practice of upbringing. Besides, the proposed author’s classification of games can be considered in terms of improving the methodological support for the modern upbringing process.

“The Arctic constant” in the linguistic consciousness of modern student youth 现代青年学生语言意识中的“北极常数”

Introduction. Currently, there is an unprecedented increase in interest in the Arctic issues in various fields. The analysis of scientific literature testifies to the actualization of the study the phenomenon of a region taken as a fragment of the semiosphere and the formation of Arctic regionology. The research is devoted to representing the integral image of the Arctic from the interdisciplinary perspective, as well as in the context of value-semantic narratives in science and education. The purposes of this study are to present the key features of semiotics of the circumpolar region, and to reveal its cultural-symbolic codes anchored in the linguistic consciousness of student youth in contemporary Russia. Materials and methods. The main research method used was the free associative experiment involving students of Saint Petersburg Mining University. The study took place in several stages, starting in 2021. It was attended by 400 students of different faculties, mainly aged 18 to 20 years old. The following methods were also used: enquiry-conversation, systematic pedagogical observations, theoretical analysis of scientific literature. Results. The respondents gave 2875 responses to the stimulus “the Arctic” in the course of the associative experiment. The obtained associates were distributed into 5 thematic groups, which formed the “Arctic” conceptual field. The analysis of its the core zone, the near core zone and the periphery obtained shows prevalence of emotional-sensual reactions and estimations of the severe Arctic space, which is also perceived as a place richest in natural resources, with unique conditions for all kinds of research activity. Of all the components in the framework of the “Arctic” conceptual field, the ethno-cultural and geopolitical ones, together with any spiritual-ideological connotations related, are underrepresented. The research was also verified by the free interview of students in the form of a conversation. Conclusions. The data obtained confirmed the hypothesis that the heroic narrative formed in the Soviet era is no longer the dominant category in interpreting the conceptosphere of the Arctic and the North. However, the symbolic value of the Arctic and the polar feat may become one of priority national ideas in modern Russia. The analysis of the ideological orientations of students regarding the “Arctic” conceptual field is the most important pedagogical and educational problem. It is necessary to revive educational traditions on the formation of “the Arctic consciousness” among the younger generation and develop a unified socio-humanitarian paradigm of knowledge about this unique region of the Earth.

Currently, there is an unprecedented increase in interest in the Arctic issues in various fields. The analysis of scientific literature testifies to the actualization of the study the phenomenon of a region taken as a fragment of the semiosphere and the formation of Arctic regionology. The research is devoted to representing the integral image of the Arctic from the interdisciplinary perspective, as well as in the context of value-semantic narratives in science and education. The purposes of this study are to present the key features of semiotics of the circumpolar region, and to reveal its cultural-symbolic codes anchored in the linguistic consciousness of student youth in contemporary Russia. Materials and methods. The main research method used was the free associative experiment involving students of Saint Petersburg Mining University. The study took place in several stages, starting in 2021. It was attended by 400 students of different faculties, mainly aged 18 to 20 years old. The following methods were also used: enquiry-conversation, systematic pedagogical observations, theoretical analysis of scientific literature. Results. Enhancing English as a foreign language communicative competence among engineering undergraduates through English medium instruction 通过英语教学提高工科大学生英语作为外语的交际能力

Introduction. The actuality of this research paper is determined by new approaches to the content and organization of professional training for bachelor students in view of UNESCO requirements to sustainable development of modern engineering education. The practical experience gained in the course of teaching in a technical university revealed the fact that English medium instruction contributes to the development of both professional and communicative competences of a global engineer. The current study aims to design a professionally-oriented module-based English medium course targeted at the formation of English as a foreign language competence of non-native bachelors and prove its efficiency in training practice. Materials and methods. The methodological basis for this study was a competence-based and module-based approaches to teaching academic subjects through English for Russian-speaking bachelor students majoring in nuclear physics and technologies. There were 113 undergraduate students of the 3d and 4th years of study who took part in the experimental study carried out on the basis of National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russian Federation). Results. In the course of the research, a module-based English medium course (EMC) was developed and introduced in a four-year bachelor training, which offered trainees deep and rich language practice on a variety of topics referred to their vocational domain and regular assessment of the target competence development throughout the implementation of the target training course. The obtained results indicated that trainees’ target competence significantly enhanced, in particular, their vocabulary and oral communicative skills. The most striking results were demonstrated by trainees whose levels of the target competence increased significantly and reached advanced level (63.2%). Conclusion. The EMC course designed in compliance with the main principals of competence-based and modulebased approaches had a positive effect on future engineers’ EFL communicative competence development, thus, contributing a lot to their successful career progression as highly professional engineers on the global arena.

Instilling patriotism in primary students through the creation of book trailers 通过书籍预告片的创作在小学生中灌输爱国主义

Introduction. In many countries of the world, the school is considered to be a center possessing all the resources for the formation of a free, democratic personality, a center for moral, civic, multicultural education. Literature, history, social science play an important role in educational programs in foreign countries; their study is considered as a source of spirituality, humanity, and citizenship. In the modern Russian school at the stage of primary education, much attention is paid to the formation of civic identity foundations, the cultivation of patriotism, and raising a responsible, creative, proactive, competent citizen of Russia. A special place in the moral education of primary students is occupied by the lessons of literature reading. Through the analysis of literary works, students understand the deep moral content of the work, the author’s attitude to the characters, the idea of the work. While considering the peculiarities of modern primary students, who are more focused on digital reading than traditional one, it becomes necessary to instill patriotic feelings in primary students through the creation of book trailers based on books by children’s writers about a heroic deed, about the Motherland, about the Great Patriotic War. The research is aimed at theoretical substantiation and experimental testing of the efficiency of the methodology for instilling patriotism in primary students through the creation of book trailers. Materials and methods. The research involved 51 students of the third grade of the general educational organization of the city of Zelenodolsk (the Russian Federation). The research used a combination of theoretical and experimental methods of studying objects that corresponded to the goals and objectives set and were aimed at determining the level of development of cognitive, emotional, activity criteria of patriotism (tests by N.F. Vinogradova "Great people of Russia", "Russia is proud of them"), revealing the level of development of behavioral motives in the education of patriotism (N. Biryukova’s test "I am a patriot"), identifying the level of development of digital literacy of a student (method of A.A. Efanova, M.A. Budanova, E.N. Yudina). For quantitative comparison, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was used. Results. An analysis of the problem of instilling patriotism in primary students through the creation of literary and artistic book trailers based on books by children’s writers about the Motherland, the war, and heroic deeds allowed developing and testing a model of patriotic education of children based on the interactive activities of the teacher and students and aimed at educating cognitive, emotional, activity criteria of patriotism as well as development of digital literacy of students.
