Creating a spatial knowledge database for protective functions in sustainable forest management: the case of Greece 建立可持续森林管理保护功能空间知识数据库:以希腊为例

One of the basic indicators required to assess and monitor sustainable forest management at the national level within the mandatory for the EU countries FOREST EUROPE policy initiative concerns the area occupied by the protective forests. However, within this policy, no operational harmonised definition of the 'protective forest' term has been adopted to date, thus making it difficult to identify and map accurately the forest land area with protective functions. This paper presents a methodological approach for creating a spatial knowledge database for the protective functions related to soil, water, and infrastructure compatible with the FOREST EUROPE policy frame. The approach was implemented in Greece and it was found that about 40% of the country's productive forest land has an increased protection effect on soil and water, and about 15% of it on infrastructure.

Covid-19 and food security in Southeast Asia 新冠肺炎与东南亚粮食安全

Measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 such as lockdowns and closures of borders are disrupting the supply of agri-food products to markets and consumers. This study aims to investigate the impact of Covid-19 on food security in the region of Southeast Asia and the suggestion for a more sustainable food system in the future. A systematic literature review was used as a research methodology to answer the research questions and literatures were analysed and synthesised using the content analysis approach. Among the impacts of Covid-19 was the disruption in the food supply chain, international trade interruption in agricultural products, household food consumption and the declining consumers' trust in food safety and hygiene. In order for ASEAN member states to better respond to the disruption in food supply chain there should be encouragements toward boosting self-sufficiency in food production, adopting smart and sustainable farming methods and closer regional cooperation.

Modelling a transport-level telecommunication management service of thermoelectric systems in agro-industrial complex based on Petri nets 基于Petri网的农工综合体热电系统运输级电信管理服务建模

A promising direction for the organisation of cooling systems in the agro-industrial complex is thermoelectric complexes built on the basis of thermoelectric modules. When developing and operating them, it is necessary to provide precise adjustment and correction of the operating modes of all distributed parts of the thermoelectric system for maintaining the microclimate in real time. This task can be solved by distributed telecommunication control systems. Based on the apparatus of Petri nets, a model of transport-level service for telecommunication management of thermoelectric systems has been developed. The interface of the transport layer and the scheme of the transport service data conversion module, including procedures for converting socket library data formats, have been developed. This ensures the integrity of the description of processes for establishing connections between environment objects and data exchange, as well as the compatibility of private models corresponding to subsystems with different levels of service services. A scheme for dispatching messages circulating in an ad hoc environment has been developed, which operates on the principle of priority queue. This scheme allows to deliver urgent messages in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

An efficient crop yield prediction using Bootstrap Aggregative MapReduce Rocchio Classification 基于Bootstrap聚合MapReduce Roccio分类的高效作物产量预测

Climatic changes in environmental condition affect crop growth and crop yield. Therefore, the impact of climate change on crop production is a significant problem to be solved. Though a handful of research works are present to predict the crop yield, the prediction accuracy of crop productivity is not sufficient. Besides, the time duration needed to identify the crop production using big agriculture dataset was higher. To avoid such limitations, the Bootstrap Aggregative MapReduce Rocchio Classification (BAMRC) technique is proposed. The BAMRC technique contains two key processes i.e., feature selection and classification. The experimental evaluation of BAMRC technique is conducted on metrics such as prediction accuracy, prediction time and false positive rate relating to numerous test instances collected at varied time period. The experimental results depict that the BAMRC technique is able to improve the prediction accuracy and also minimise the prediction time of crop yields from soybean large dataset when compared to state-of-the-art works.
