Probing ground state in circular magnetic dots: Single vs. double magnetic vortex 探测圆形磁点的基态:单磁与双磁涡旋

We investigate static magnetization as a function of a magnetic field during nucleation of the magnetic vortex state in Py dots with diameter of 1000nm and with four different thicknesses varying between 15 and 50 nm. For the 50nm thick Py dots we observe direct nucleation of the single vortex state from the saturated state, while the dots with thickness equal or below 25 nm reveal formation of intermediate metastable double vortex state before entering into the single vortex ground state at small negative fields. This scenario is confirmed by micromagnetic simulations and variable field magnetic force microscopy imaging. Our simulations investigate stability of the double vortex metastable state as a function of temperature and external microwave pulses. Magnetic force microscopy was found to be a invasive imaging technique to study this kind of samples. For 20nm thick Py dots only the single vortex state is observed with commercial tips, meanwhile home made tips with lower magnetic moment were found to destroy the double vortex state during imaging process.

GNSS tomography, from epoch local solution to country-wide near real time system GNSS断层扫描,从epoch局部解决方案到全国范围的近实时系统

GNSS meteorology is the remote sensing of the atmosphere (particularly troposphere) using Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) to derive information about its state. Over past five years the studies on GNSS tomography were performed in the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences on the GNSS tomography. The results for epoch wise researches, allows to develop stable tomography numerical model (its optimal size and shape), assess errors, define special constraints, include in the model results of the analysis of the air flow. This paper presents the issues of the Near Real Time (NRT) tomographic model construction, the building of the required IT infrastructure, developing algorithms for effective numerical processing, requirements for NRT products, means of integration with other measurement techniques, comparison with weather prediction models.

Bottle packaged wine product detection by UHF RFID systems 酒瓶包装酒产品检测采用超高频RFID系统

A new invention of wine closure is introduced. By means of this closure, a UHF RFID application for a bottle packaged wine product detection is realized. The application is realized by designing a tag based on a meander line dipole antenna, according to the shape of the new wine closure, so that the tag can be inserted into the closure with good radiation performance. Moreover, this is the first RFID tag using the meander line monopole antenna. The experiment shows that the bottle packaged wine product labeled by the tag can be detected at about 1.5m distance, which is much longer than previously reported on wine product detection.

The geometry analyzed in this paper consists of a metallic prolate spheroid coated with confocal spheroidal layers of lossless materials whose refractive indexes are either equal (isorefractive) or opposite in sign (anti-isorefractive) to the refractive index of the medium surrounding the structure. The primary source is an electric dipole located on the axis of symmetry and axially oriented. The fields in the various regions are written as infinite series of products of radial and angular prolate spheroidal functions, and the modal expansion coefficients are determined exactly by imposing the boundary conditions, thus yielding a new canonical solution to a radiation problem. Numerical results are presented and discussed.

Low RCS patch array antenna with electromagnetic bandgap using a conducting polymer 采用导电聚合物的电磁带隙低RCS贴片阵列天线

This paper provides a radar absorbing method to reduce the radar cross section of the patch array antennas without any loss of antenna performances. The method was based upon the electromagnetic bandgap absorber using a conducting polymer. First, the patch array antenna with a central frequency of 3.0 GHz was designed. Then, the EBG patterns were also designed that had a radar absorbing performance within the X-band. Second, the designed low RCS patch array antenna was fabricated using glass fiber-reinforced composites and conducting polymer. Finally, the antenna performances and the RCS of the fabricated antenna were measured in order to confirm the radar absorbing efficiency and to show the feasibility of the low RCS patch array antenna in the X-band.

Simplified model for on-chip interconnects in electromagnetic modelling of System-in-Package 片上互连在系统级封装电磁建模中的简化模型

We present effective medium approximation (EMA) that provides an homogeneous equivalent for the top layer of on-chip interconnects in an integrated circuit. An empirical mixing model for straightforward and fast extraction of the effective dielectric constant of a slab of integrated circuit wiring and its analytical formulation based on Maxwell-Garnett rule is presented for a range of aspect ratios, dielectric materials, metal fills, and frequencies. We expect this approach to find use in the electromagnetic modeling of System-in-Package. Experimental validation of proposed approach is demonstrated by free space measurement of a grating structure illuminated by a pair of lens horn antennas.

Investigation of plasmon resonance of stacked gold nanodisks using time-domain simulations 用时域模拟研究堆积金纳米片的等离子体共振

Plasmon resonances are able to produce a large field enhancement, which can be exploited for various purposes, such as biosensing or optical mixing. In this paper, the plasmon resonance of two stacked gold nanodisks separated by a tiny 2 nm gap is studied in time-domain simulations, offering the possibility of transient and broadband analysis. Moreover, time-domain simulations are amenable to extensions towards nonlinear models. For efficient simulations, the extremely small gap in between the nanodisks, as well as potential fabrication imperfections, are advantageously modeled with an unstructured mesh. This paper presents 3D simulations of the nanodisk plasmon problem using the finite-volume time-domain method in a tetrahedral mesh.

In this paper, the latest improvements concerning the manufacturing and testing of a prototype concluding the development of a waveguide fed active antenna using an active High Impedance Surface (HIS) as main reflector are reported. The capability of such an antenna to generate various types of radiation beam (focalised, scanned…) has been demonstrate.
