The purpose of this study was to characterize and biological activity test of garlic and its fermented products (black garlic) as antioxidants, analgesics, and anticancer properties. The subject of this study was garlic and its fermented products (black garlic). Characterization includes analysis of total phenol content, flavonoid content, and identification of isolated components by FT-IR and GC-MS. The analysis of total phenolic and flavonoid content was carried out by spectroscopic methods. The antioxidant activity test used the DPPH (2,2-diphenylpicrylhydrazyl) method. The analgesic test used the mouse stretching method induced by acetic acid. Anticancer tests are carried out through cytotoxicity tests on several cancer cell lines. The cytotoxicity test method was carried out with the MTT Cell Proliferation Kit using a colorimetric method. The results showed that the garlic and black garlic extracts had high phenolic and flavonoid content. Chromatographic separation of ethyl acetate extract from black garlic obtained compound A with a purity of 67.69%. The results of the identification of compound A using IR and GC-MS showed that the isolated compound had similarities with 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. The antioxidant activity test of each extract and fraction of garlic and black garlic was classified as low, except for the ethanol extract of black garlic which showed high antioxidant activity with IC50 38.609 ± 0.11μg/mL. The ethanol extracts of garlic and black garlic showed analgesic activity but showed low toxicity in several types of cancer cells T47D, 4T1, MCF7 / Her2, HeLa, and WiDr.

Colorectal Cancer (CRC) ranks 3rd highest cancer incidence, so it is a serious health problem in Indonesia. A new erythrocyte sedimentation rate method was developed to determine a biomarker for CRC. This study aims to investigate reaction order parameters of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) as markers for colorectal carcinoma after chemotherapy. One ml blood was collected from 49 subjects by venipuncture, which then drawn for Westergren analysis. The ESR was measured every minute for 2 hours. The parameter-1 and parameter-2 reaction order of the two groups of research subjects were determined from ESR linear equation. The respective values of parameter-1, parameter-2, NLR, and PLR from normal group and CRC group were compared by t test. The results showed that the parameters of reaction order, NLR, and PLR have good performance to be used as markers for CRC after chemotherapy.

Natural disasters in an area can occur anytime and anywhere. An attitude is needed to deal with these disasters. This study aims to determine 1) the feasibility of the The natural science integrated instrument box of landslide props, and 2) the effectiveness of the The natural science integrated instrument box of landslide props to improve the disaster preparedness of students. The research uses 4-D model. The research subjects were students of SMP N 4 Prambanan. Data collection instruments used validation sheets and questionnaires. The feasibility of the The natural science integrated instrument box of landslide props landslide props based on the assessment of the media experts were 92.86%, the material experts were 96.43% with excellent criteria, the practicality assessment based on the science teacher assessment by 96.43% with excellent criteria, and the readability results were 82.64% with excellent criteria. The results analysis of the disaster preparedness questionnaire data showed the scores increased in the experimental class compared to the control class after being treated. So it can be concluded that the The natural science integrated instrument box of landslide props are feasible or valid and effective in increasing disaster preparedness.
