This work proposes a combined production, maintenance, and quality control for a supply chain management system. In this work, we consider a joint model production system consisting of a single machine producing multi-products connected to a multi-warehouse to satisfy changing and characterized customer demand for all the products throughout the production horizon. The work will answer some managerial questions about which product to produce and how much each is to make. Then the need for a maintenance strategy corresponding to the optimal production plan. The unreliable production system is prone to random failure, directly impacting product quality. The variance in production rate, inventory management, and utilization affects the status of the production system and its maintenance evolution. The control of the process and its quality is carried out using a multi-level statistical process control (SPC) and its tool, “control chart of average.” The goal is to create a constraint optimization model that reduces total cost while meeting changing customer requests across many warehouses and over time. We consider the impact of production rate on the production machine degradation, the increasing failure model, and maintenance methods based on the optimal parameters of the control chart.

Inventory management plays a critical role in every organization’s performance. It is an essential part of any business. Financially, it is the most valid current asset, easily converted to cash. Therefore, every organization must be able to manage its inventory according to its needs and customer’s demand. Furthermore, inventory requires space inside the warehouse and keeping more than the required stock can increase the cost of carrying inventory. Hence it is essential to keep enough stock but not more than needed. Nevertheless, some organizations find it challenging to balance the supply of inventory with their customers or demand. Thus, this research aims at understanding the concept of inventory management and inventory control and identifying the issues faced by the companies in their inventory management by finding the flaws within the strategies or systems used to manage the inventory. This research employs a qualitative data collection method through journal articles, books, and trusted websites to ascertain the objectives.

In the 2016 General Election of Governors and Deputy Governors, voters in Central Kalimantan were given the choice to split their votes in regional elections, decentralizing the voting process. However, the existing literature fails to explain the behavior of voters when faced with this choice. This article aims to explain the dynamics of split-ticket voting in the behavior of community voters during the 2016 implementation of the Central Kalimantan Governor and Deputy Governor Elections, specifically in two districts in Central Kalimantan. Using a quantitative-descriptive method, this study focuses on the Permanent Voter List (DPT) in South Barito Regency and Kapuas Regency, who exercised their voting rights in the 2016 Central Kalimantan Governor and Deputy Governor Elections. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was used for multivariate analysis in this study. The study findings identified the following: First, there is an influence of the variable levels of knowledge on split voting. Second, there is a significant influence between non-intentional variables and split voting. Overall, this study provides an explanation of the behavior of community voters when faced with the choice to split their votes in regional elections, which can be used to improve future voting systems.

This study aimed to understand the relationship between supply chain innovation (SCI), big data analytical capabilities (BDACs), customer readiness (CR), and supply chain resilience (SCR) on digital supply chain (DSC) performance. A quantitative survey-based approach was used to collect responses from 340 participants and using structure equation modelling (SEM) through smart PLS software, the data were analysed. We found that all of the enablers had a positive effect on DSC performance directly and then through the SCR as a mediation enabler. The study also contributed to the existing literature by demonstrating SCR's mediating role between SCI, CR, BDAC, and DSC performance. The implications and potential areas for future research were also discussed.

Most countries rely on the growth of commodity industries to sustain their economies. The growing commodity industries produce livestock such as sheep, pigs, chickens, and fish. The purpose of this paper is to develop a mathematical model for growing items with linear demand and deteriorating items. Most of the inventory models are considered with constant rate of deterioration. The paper explores deterioration rates changing with time and partially backlog shortages allowed. Furthermore, it is assumed that live newborn items are fed until their weight has grown to a customer-preferred level during breeding periods. Afterward, they are slaughtered and turned into deteriorating products susceptible to customer demand during consumption. This model is optimised by devising an analytical solution procedure to determine the appropriate purchasing quantity of the newborn animals and the breeding period. Numerical examples are provided, for a type of poultry, to illustrate the model. To study how model parameters affect the result of the objective function and decision variables, we do a sensitivity analysis.

The urge to integrate gamification into the traditional curriculum as a new educational technology tool has garnered widespread popularity throughout the years. In that light, unknown is the degree to which Namibia can adopt game-based learning in its educational system, precisely the middle schools. Consequently, the purpose of this study was to ascertain the perceptions of learners and teachers toward the effective integration of gamification into the mathematics curriculum for middle school learners in Windhoek, Namibia. Grounded in the pragmatism philosophy, the study adopted a mixed research method in which quantitative data were obtained from 876 learners in middle school grades while qualitative data were acquired from 29 mathematics teachers using questionnaires with close-ended and open-ended questions, respectively. To dive into the phenomenon, the study analyzed quantitative data using structural equation modeling in the LISREL program, while qualitative data were analyzed using coding and reflexive thematic analysis with direct quotations in ATLAS.ti software. Based on the findings, learners and teachers in Windhoek expressed positive perceptions of integrating gamification into the middle school mathematics curriculum. However, the study also reveals the possibilities of gamifying the mathematics curriculum to be merely effective at the first stage of implementation, but other subjects are at stake, and not inclusive-friendly to learners from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, as emerged from the qualitative aspect of the study. Thus, the research calls for cohesive support in terms of financial support, non-financial support, and human capital support from the private sector, government, and international organizations to ensure the effective integration of gamification without jeopardizing other subjects and the inclusivity of vulnerable learners and those in remote areas.
