FAILURE ANALYSIS OF CHANNEL 1 MONOPULSE SECONDARY SURVEILLANCE RADAR IRS 20 MPS 20mps信道1单脉冲二次监视雷达失效分析

Radio Detection and Ranging (Radar) is an electromagnetic wave used to monitor the movement of a moving object. RADAR will get information about the height and distance of an object by utilizing electromagnetic waves. Radar is surveillance equipment to monitor the aircraft’s position in the environment around the radar up to a radius of ± 250 NM. This article aims to analyze the surveillance facility at Kualanamu Airport Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) INDRA. This paper uses an exploratory study method with descriptive qualitative research to investigate and trace the problem. The problem on the INDRA IRS 20 MPS Radar is offline due to PLN supply maintenance activities, causing the supply voltage on the radar to be unstable. The failure problem on MSSR is due to damage to the Sum Amplifier Unit (SAU) module, which causes the SUM output on the Radar to be abnormal. The result of channel 1 INDRA IRS Radar 20 MPS operation can operate normally again after replacing a new SAU module. The conclusion of the operation of channel 1 INDRA IRS Radar 20 MPS can operate normally again after the replacement of a new SAU module.

DESIGNING OF OPEN CHANNELS AND CLOSED CHANNELS FOR DRAINAGE FACILITIES IN AIRSIDE 空侧排水设施的明渠及暗渠设计

Drainage facilities are one part of the airside facilities that are important to ensure the safety of the airside area when weather changes occur. This study aims to make drainage that can be carried out to ensure the safety of the airside area from stagnant water. The calculation of airside drainage refers to the planned drainage calculation rules so that the drainage channels can design accordingly so as not to interfere with the operation of other facilities. In the design of drainage work, the material requirements for making open and closed channels at Dewadaru Karimun Jawa Airport must be precisely designed so that the work takes place by the specified planning and quality standards. The research uses a mixed methodology that the exploratory study by conducting a literature study that compares observation. The analysis starts by finding the volume for each work item based on Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) 2052-2017, a national iron and concrete standard. The result shows the excavation of soil for making channels, the total volume required is 880.24 m3, the importance of sand is 40.76 m3, the book of substantial rebates of a mixture ratio of 1: 2: 3 is 23.82 m3, and the book of K300 Concrete works for U-Ditch type C channels (100 x 100) is 116.29 m3. For the needs of the required iron volume of 16,415.09 kg, formwork of 1,408.45 m2, stone river masonry size 100 x 100 by 139 m3, stone river masonry size 50x50 amounted to 42.05 m3, and the volume of plastering work of the channel amounted to 192.46 m2. The conclusion of this study is the accuracy of design required to calculate each work item's volume.

STUDY OF GROUND FAULT PROTECTION SYSTEM IN THE MEDIUM VOLTAGE PANEL OF THE MAIN POWERHOUSE AT THE AIRPORT 机场主厂房中压板接地故障保护系统的研究

The protection system is a system for securing electrical equipment caused by abnormal conditions such as short circuits (phase contact with the ground), human error, and others and detecting disturbances that occur and overcoming these disturbances in a short time. The ground fault protection system has not been activated at Juanda Airport Surabaya. This research aims to avoid problems that cause ground faults that spread throughout the MV. The Medium Voltage (MV) panel ground fault protection system used by MPH, namely MPH M-03, for voltage distribution to Air Field Lighting (AFL) substation and Airport Operation Building (AOB) substation, and Pump House 4 (PH 4) has not been activated. This study assesses the impact of activating the ground fault protection system for the MV MPH M-03 panel using the SEPAM protection relay. The research method is an exploratory study of the ground fault protection system in the M-03 main powerhouse medium voltage panel. The results showed that using a ground fault protection system for the MV MPH M-03 panel using the SEPAM protection relay is safer due to the ground fault indicator on the equipment. The Ground Fault panel helps protect electrical equipment and supplies from damage caused by ground faults. Quickly shutting off power in the event of a fault prevents excessive current flow that can damage or destroy sensitive equipment. This benefit is significant in industrial environments or areas with valuable equipment where downtime and repairs can be costly. The conclusion is that these systems should be used for safety in voltage transmission and distribution operations. Activating the ground fault protection system, operational safety at Juanda Airport Surabaya will be guaranteed, and it will be safer for the MV panel equipment and safety for the technicians working.

The departure terminal’s Abdulrachman Saleh Malang Airport has facilities as an improvement in services for airplane passengers, such as aviobridges, escalators, travelators, elevators, and conveyors. Conveyors are mechanical systems that transfer luggage considerably from one location to another. To facilitate routing procedures, an effective model for conveyor operations must be developed, as well as the maintenance operation. This study aims to determine the consequences of lack of maintenance on the conveyor belt, namely the occurrence of slack in the belt so that it continues to experience abrasions on the sides of the conveyor and tears on the edges of the belt. The tear causes the fibers to unravel so that slip occurs between the belt and the upper idler shaft (carry idler) so that the idler cannot rotate. This causes the conveyor belt to run and malfunction. This research uses a qualitative method of conducting an exploratory study of the conveyor belt using experimental description research by describing and analyzing the existing conditions on the conveyor. The result is that there are belt fibers that cause slippage on the conveyor. Handling that can be done is cutting the fiber belt. The conclusion is that many factors can cause slippage on the conveyor belt, such as too heavy a load, old belt age, and the distance between the collecting belt conveyor and the transfer line conveyor. Maintenance can be done on the equipment to avoid slippage on the conveyor. Conveyor maintenance activities consist of two types, namely unplanned maintenance and planned maintenance. Unplanned maintenance is also called reactive maintenance or emergency maintenance.

AVIOBRIDGE MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT: A SOLUTION FOR CABIN CURTAIN DAMAGE 航空桥架维修管理:机舱窗帘损坏的解决方案

This research raises the problem in one of the traction equipment after the absence during covid-19 with evidence that an occurrence causing trouble with the curtain results from a lack of monitoring and maintenance. As a result, the curtain gets out of the way of the cabin, which causes the following impacts passenger may be trapped, unstable curtain movement rotation, and the sound of the curtain becomes harsh. This research aims to prevent further damage to the cabin curtain, considering that aviobridge is one of the supporting flight operations at the airport. This research uses an exploratory study using literature, observations, and interviews. This research indicates that maintenance to aviobridge does not conduct appropriately during the pandemic causing problems for the aviobridge. The result is expected that maintenance will be carried out according to applicate standard operating procedures such as lubricants between the curtains using lubricants such as lubrication simultaneously with the movement of the cabin rotation to the right and left, checking the roller curtains at the top and bottom using shock lock 32, and adjusting the gear up and down if already loose. Intensive preventive maintenance is the key to establishing any facility and the sign of a good quality of production in the industry. The researcher calculated the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) with a sample to the parking stand N06 and proposed that the organization obeys the applicable standard operating procedures for maintenance.

Water treatment is a major process of realizing Eco Airport in airport development that does not cause environmental damage, protects the environment, and seeks to minimize the impact of environmental pollution due to airport operations. The growth and development of the global economy make a significant contribution resulting in increasingly uncontrolled disposal of wastewater, resulting in a series of environmental problems related to the provision of clean water at airports. This study discusses water filtration using membrane technology with Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) polymer mixed with Tin (IV) Dioxide (SnO2). This study aims to analyze the microstructure formed through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) testing and determine the mechanical properties and performance in water treatment of mixed PVDF and Tin (IV) Dioxide (SnO2) membranes. This research is a new method in water treatment. The research method used was quantitative with initial membrane specimen formation, membrane preparation, flat sheet method, and testing methods (tensile testing, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) observations, and Clean Water Permeability (CWP) testing. The results of this study, namely the formation of mixed membranes, showed the corresponding results as an alternative to water filter membranes. PVDF and SnO2 mixed membranes subjected to tensile tests using ASTM D638 standards, the surface structure of mixed membranes using SEM showed significant differences at each concentration, and the performance of water treatment performed with CWP showed an increase with increasing PVDF concentration and SnO2 for the airport. The conclusion is that water treatment performance using Clean Water Permeability (CWP) increases with increasing concentrations of PVDF and SnO2, which are suitable for airports.

EMPIRICAL STUDY ON LECTURER LEADERSHIP PRACTICES IN ONLINE LEARNING OF VOCATIONAL AVIATION COLLEGUE 高职航空同事在线学习讲师领导实践的实证研究

The aim of this study is to investigate the leadership exhibited by lecturers in the realm of online learning during Covid-19 pandemic. This research using a mixed methodology, both data collection and analysis were conducted to comprehensively address the research objectives. Primary data was gathered through the dissemination of questionnaires among selected cadets who served as respondents. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with representatives from randomly chosen study programs. The acquired data was subsequently subjected to analysis employing simple statistical equations and a descriptive formula to calculate percentages. To augment the quantitative research findings, a triangulation process was implemented, integrating interview data with the concepts of lecturer leadership, which constituted the study's theoretical framework. The results of the study revealed that lecturers employed three key criteria, namely conceptual skills, human skills, and technical skills, in their leadership practices during the period of online learning amid Covid-19. The questionnaire results demonstrated that lecturers effectively employed various tactics within these three criteria to influence others, underscoring the inseparable connection between leadership and the lecturer's role. The research concludes that the leadership style exhibited by lecturers, as evidenced by these three criteria of skills and tactics, serves as a valuable reference for lecturers at higher education institutions.

Constant Current Regulator (CCR) yang digunakan pada Bandara Internasional Husein Sastranegara Bandung untuk memberi suplai listrik ke Approach Light adalah Microcontroler Constant Current Regulator 3 (MCR 3). Approach Light terbagi menjadi tiga sirkuit yaitu sirkuit 1, sirkuit 2 dan sirkuit 3 yang masing-masing disuplai oleh satu peralatan MCR 3. Kendala yang ada adalah peralatan MCR 3 untuk memberikan suplai catu daya listrik ke approach light sirkuit 1 mengalami kerusakan sehingga approach light sirkuit 1 off. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan pembatasan masalah pada desain remote CCR. Penelitian ini menghasilkan solusi dengan penggantian CCR menjadi tipe TCR 5000 dengan posisi pengoperasian yang masih local atau dengan cara dioperasikan manual oleh teknisi listrik yang ada di Bandara Internasional Husein Sastranegara Bandung menjadi otomatis. Diperlukan lay out rancangan, cara kerja rancangan, flow chart rancangan, dan wiring diagram rancangan untuk penambahan jalur menggunakan Programmable Logic Controller yang bisa langsung digunakan secara remote oleh Air Traffic Controller (ATC) agar sesuai dengan standar pengoperasian.

Optimalisasi pengoperasian floodlight yang efektif dan efisien diperlukan karena jumlah teknisi listrik pada bandar udara Husein Sastaranegara yang terbatas dan kondisi existing saat ini operasional seluruh floodlight hanya dijalankan oleh satu kontrol Moulded Chase Circuit Breaker (MCCB) yang tidak berada pada ruang stand by teknisi. Tujuan dari pembuatan prototipe lampu floodlight berbasis mikrokontroler arduino dengan modul dimmer agar dapat dikontrol jarak jauh dan letak kontrol terpusat diruang teknisi serta dapat me-monitoring lampu floodlight dengan aplikasi yang dapat mengefisiensi waktu dalam pengoperasian dan monitoring lampu floodlight. Prototipe lampu floodlight in dibuat dengan menggunakan, wemos d1 mini pro sebagai penghubung jaringan internet, sensor pzem-004t sebagai sensor arus dan tegangan, modul dimmer sebagai pengatur intensitas cahaya dan arduino mega sebagai mikrokontroler pengolah data sehingga kontrol dan monitoring dapat diakses secara Remote melalui smartphone dengan aplikasi blynk dan manual dengan Push button dan selector switch. Dengan adanya prototipe ini dapat dijadikan dasar pembuatan suatu alat kontrol dan monitoring Apron floodlight untuk meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi teknisi dalam melakukan pengoperasian dan memonitor kondisi Apron floodlight.

A Triple Helix Scheme Approach: The Development of Aviation Human Resources from Perspectives of Academician, Businessmen, and Government 三螺旋结构:从学者、商人和政府的角度看航空人力资源的开发

This research aims to explore the perspectives among aviation stakeholders on aviation human resources development in the triple helix scheme. How the academician, businessmen, and government thought on the produces the human resources that qualify with their needs is investigated.  A qualitative method was implemented to elaborate this research both data collection and analyses. A depth interview was conducted with informants from the three parties. After that, a focus group discussion among them to crosscheck and validated the interview was realized. The result showed that the academic perspective builds the model which seems near to a laissez-faire configuration.  On the other perspective the industry, offer different model among them. Airnav Indonesia could be part of laissez-faire configuration.  Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF) Aeroasia model seems exactly like the third configuration. Batam Aero Technic (BAT) follows the first configuration. The government perspective offers an Indonesia Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) collaboration model. It seemed like the statist configuration. Academicians, businessmen, and Government in the triple helix scheme have similar preparation to face the aviation technology development in the future. They anticipated the challenge by preparing the human resources competencies. On the other hand, academician is preparing new major in the field of air navigation and unmanned aircraft.
