University impact on power supply economy, reliability and sustainability enhancement decreasing climate changes 大学对电力供应经济性、可靠性和可持续性增强的影响,减少气候变化

Research in prior scientific areas carried out by Riga Technical university (RTU), in general, and the Institute of Power Engineering as part of the University is of vital importance not only for the development of industry and national economy but is also a significant part of the education and training of young professionals for the Latvian power system and for engineering, design and construction companies. New challenges in the energy and power engineering field as well as economic and political changes in the Baltic countries have revealed a need for educational program refinement and academics requalification. To perform these changes effectively, proper formation of the research project portfolio as well as bids of the Latvian and European industry have been taken into account. The paper describes the most important achieved scientific and practical results. To solve a wide range of complex tasks and to ensure excellence of scientific research, a virtual research laboratory has been created; a brief description of the laboratory is given in the paper.

System on Chip in modern motion control systems 现代运动控制系统中的片上系统

The parallel processing of motor control system using modern FPGAs allows the complex servo algorithms to be proceeded within a microsecond, resulting in extreme high control bandwidth. At the same time a powerful processing core is needed for the drive to be built in real-time industrial networks. A System on Chip enables to solve both of the tasks within a single chip.

Comprehensive analysis of a DC/DC half-bridge bidirectional boost converter with ZVS opportunity 具有ZVS机会的DC/DC半桥双向升压变换器的综合分析

A comprehensive analysis of a boost converter is presented in this article. Important data such as current and voltage estimations for the used components, characteristic numbers for semiconductor parts and an approximation of the expected power losses for a DC/DC half-bridge bidirectional boost converter with an LC output filter are carried out. A model from this converter is presented. The transfer functions for the output voltage and the current dependent on the duty cycle are calculated via a linearisation method. To decrease the power losses, the concept of zero voltage switching is used and explained. Future developments and applications are highlighted.

Modification of supplied demand algorithm for generation adequacy indices calculations 修正了发电充足度指数计算的供需算法

In order to determine the indicators of the adequacy of meshed united electric power systems (EPSs), an algorithm of accelerated calculations is proposed, which is based on probabilistic equivalenting of intersystem power flows at the conditions of probabilistic demand and supply from adjacent EPSs. The conditions are considered and the fluctuant character is pointed out of the convergence of the iteration process of the formation of the resulting indicators of the nodal power imbalances. The recurrent relation is reflected algorithmically. In order to improve the convergence of the iteration process, a modification of the guaranteed demand algorithm is proposed, which takes into account the fluctuation character of the convergence by means of parabolic interpolation of the mathematical expectation of the power flow. The calculation procedure is illustrated on the basis of a three-node closed circuit of a united EPS. The algorithm has been appraised on the basis of a 42-node circuit of a meshed EPS. Ways for further refinement of the algorithm are proposed.

Study of 10kV vacuum switch cabinet insulation condition comprehensive fuzzy assessment methods with variable weights 10kV真空开关柜绝缘状态变权模糊综合评价方法研究

Aimed at the accuracy and feasibility improvement of switch cabinet insulation condition assessment, considering the huge quantity of information and the high possibility of insulation fault in distribution switch cabinet, according to the survey results in substation, some important condition items which exert significant influence on vacuum switch cabinet insulation state are selected, an hierarchical model of condition items is formed, to avoid double counting of the similar indexes. According to the characteristics of different items, the corresponding condition assessment results are given based on different methods, then, the assessment results are put into the corresponding membership functions, fuzzy assessment matrices are developed. Constant weight matrices are confirmed according to the importance of different condition assessment items and expert experiences, and variable weight matrices are amended on the basis of constant weight matrices according to measured data. When fuzzy algorithms are confirmed to combine fuzzy assessment matrices and variable weight matrices, a two-level 10kV vacuum switch cabinet insulation condition assessment model can be built. Finally, an example is given to prove the validity of the condition assessment methods proposed in this paper.

Determination of workspace for motion capture using Kinect 使用Kinect确定运动捕捉的工作空间

This paper describes the method of determining the workspace for shooting motion capture in real time. Sensor Kinect for Windows v1 and v2 were selected for motion capture, Kinect2BVH program for recording data in the format of BioVision Hierarchy and mathematical processor MATLAB for computation and data visualization. In order to identify the zone in which Kinect successfully reconstructs skeleton, we conducted an experiment in which a person moves smoothly in the captured space. Reconstruction errors are defined as sudden unnatural acceleration of movement of the limbs. The result is a distribution map of the skeletal reconstruction accuracy in the area of Kinect v1 vision. Also, calculations were made to determine the limits of angular accelerations bending joints, and as a result more accurate maps were obtained for the capture with Kinect v1 and v2. These developments are used to construct virtual reality scenes.

Backward/forward probabilistic network state estimation tool and its real world validation 后向/前向概率网络状态估计工具及其现实世界验证

Increasing penetration of renewable energy sources into conventional power networks causes increase of the uncertainty level which reveals new research and technological challenges. High fidelity network state estimation in environment with significant share of intermittent energy sources is required for planning and operation activities performed by system operators. Probabilistic load flow methods stand for promising estimation techniques which can be applicable for environment with strong presence of uncertainty. Paper describes an estimation tool based on probabilistic backward/forward method. Special emphasis is given to the description of particular components of the estimation tool. Reliability and robustness of the tool is demonstrated on the results from real world validation.

Optimization of distribution systems reliability with the stochastic behavior 具有随机行为的配电系统可靠性优化

The majority of failures experienced by users are due to electrical distribution failures. There were power supply reliability and outage costs in 20 kV distribution network evaluated. The paper describes electricity failures' restoration sequence, duration in a distribution system, frequency of failures and duration for different elements. The developed model of the network and reliability and outage costs calculating algorithm is suitable for multi-criteria analysis of the network Proposed reliability and outage costs calculation algorithm is based on Monte Carlo simulation and genetic algorithm.

This article deals with passenger counting methodology for sustainable intellectual transport system. How to get real input data for passenger flow analysis in public transport system? How to find the best solution for data transferring for making public transport system more sustainable? How to find out actual flows of passengers? This paper tries to find answers to questions mentioned above. So, it is clear, that actual number of passenger in public transport system at each moment of time is vitally significant information to know, and this research offer solutions how it is possible to solve the task. In this paper author offers to use a method of photogrammetry for passenger counting to further passenger flow studies and analysis.

Detection of systematic errors in PMU measurements by the power system state estimation methods 用电力系统状态估计方法检测PMU测量中的系统误差

The state estimation is a procedure which determines the current state of a power system. For this purpose synchronized phasor measurements from PMU are used in combination with SCADA measurements. A method of test equations (TE) is used to detect gross errors in both SCADA and PMU measurements. The mathematical expectation of the TE discrepancy is used to identify a systematic error in measurements. The non-zero value of this expectation can only testify to the presence of a systematic error in measurements contained in TE, but cannot be used to detect it. Then, a "sensitivity" coefficient of the TE with respect to the error in each measurement is determined. If the measurement error cannot be detected, the value of the measurement distortion is determined by the state estimation procedure.
