Monitoring and Calibrating the Efficiency of the Remote and Hybrid Remote Work 远程和混合远程工作效率的监测与校准

Remote (or hybrid remote) work is currently becoming more and more trending. This happened in recent years, driven by technological advancements and the global COVID-19 pandemic. This model of work offers immense opportunities for employers and employees, such as increased flexibility, improved work-life balance, and reduced commute time. However, the shift to remote work also comes with its own set of challenges and complexities. The paper describes the results of the research, which specifies data for the approbation of the method for calibrating the efficiency of remotely working employees and observing the dynamics of work productivity in an experimental environment developed during this research. The method offered for efficiency calibration supposes to use data regarding workers’ activities according to business domain.

Does Transformational Leadership Still Run Effectively in A Conflict Setting? 变革型领导在冲突环境下仍然有效吗?

This article aims to describe the influence of servant and transformational leadership on teacher work productivity and the role of mediating conflict resolution. There is a lot of research on leadership but not much research on how leadership handles conflict. Several research studies have investigated how leaders respond to conflict and the most common conflict management. However, no research is available to determine public preferences for conflict resolution options. The application of transformational leadership is known for its toughness and has been widely discussed. However, there is a phenomenon where school principals experience a decline and schools experience many problems. One of the factors inhibiting school progress is conflict. The author presents how to manage a school or organization in conflict settings by offering a servant leadership style. These matters are discussed in this article. This study used a quantitative survey design with 300 high school teachers as respondents to rate the leadership of school principals from 15 districts in Lampung Province. The results of Amos 23 calculations state that servant leadership has a positive effect on handling conflict (87.5%) and on teacher’s work productivity (37, 4%), while transformational leadership has a positive effect on handling conflict (8.7%) and negative effect on teacher work productivity (-68.8%). The research concludes that (1) servant leadership is a good predictor of teacher work productivity and a solution for conflict resolution in schools; (2) when there is conflict, transformational leadership is not a solution; (3) conflict handling is directly proportional to teacher work productivity; and (4) conflict handling becomes a good mediator for servant leadership and transformational leadership for teacher work productivity.

Development of an Electronic Bird Repellent System using Sound Emission 声发射电子驱鸟系统的研制

Currently, the damages caused by the stalking of birds in industry and agriculture are of great consideration, because they adapt to city environments in search of food and lose their fear, creating threats and taking advantage of the human presence, benefiting from food and waste, causing diseases and great economic losses. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to design a repellent system that allows birds to keep away from the facilities of companies and homes. There are various methods to repel birds using traditional and technological methods, such as the use of temperature or distance sensors, microcontrollers, and sirens. Therefore, this paper describes the development of the device to keep birds away. The design of the printed circuit board, implementation of the control algorithm for the system, the evaluation of the system through simulation, and the design and development of the casing for its integration are shown. Finally, a functional prototype of the repelling device is shown, to detect the presence of the bird and immediately emit a sound that scares it away, using the algorithm integrated with the electronic system.

Forecasting Models for Thailand’s Electrical Appliances Export Values 泰国电器出口值预测模型

This research aimed to study forecasting models for Thailand’s electrical appliances export values. Thailand’s monthly electrical appliances export values were gathered from the Information Technology and Communication Center, Ministry of Commerce, from January 2006 to November 2022. The data from January 2006 to December 2021 were used to construct and select the forecasting models, and the remaining were used for measuring the model’s accuracy. Since the electrical appliances export values showed trends and seasonal variation, the researcher selected the Holt-Winters method with various initial settings, the Box-Jenkins method, and Long Short-Term Memory Neural Networks (LSTM) for constructing models. The forecasting models were chosen by minimum Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) as a criterion. Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) was employed to measure the accuracy of the forecasting model. The study revealed that the Box-Jenkins model gave the appropriate forecasting model for Thailand’s electrical appliances export values and gained a MAPE of 8.0%.

Numerical Investigation and Factor Analysis of Two-Species Spatial-Temporal Competition System after Catastrophic Events 灾难性事件后两物种时空竞争系统的数值研究与因子分析

The interaction of species in an ecological community can be described by coupled system partial differential equations. To analyze the problem numerically, we construct a discrete system using finite volume approximation by space with semi-implicit time approximation to decouple a system. We first simulate the converges of the system to the final equilibrium state for given parameters (reproductive rate, competition rate, and diffusion rate), boundaries, and initial conditions of population density. Then, we apply catastrophic events on a given geographic position with given catastrophic sizes to calculate the restoration time and final population densities for the system. After that, we investigate the impact of the parameters on the equilibrium population density and restoration time after catastrophe by gradually releasing the hold of different parameters. Finally, we generate data sets by solutions of a two-species competition model with random parameters and perform factor analysis to determine the main factors that affect the restoration time and final population density after catastrophic events.

Project Management Office Manager's Competencies in Telecommunication Industries: A Case Study in Indonesia 电信行业项目管理办公室经理的胜任能力:以印度尼西亚为例

In the telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) sectors, Project Management Office (PMO) practices in Indonesia are seldom applied even though PMO has an essential role for companies as a productivity tool and to overcome existing changes in the business world. This study aimed to validate five PMO framework competencies and whether telecommunication sectors have applied these competencies. This study uses in-depth interviews and structured questionnaires to obtain robust validation data from expert PMO Managers. The data was obtained by interviewing five PMO expert respondents from PMOPI (Project Management Professional Indonesia). The raw data were analyzed using NVivo 12 by four certified expert coders. This study found that almost all PMO competencies were applied in the telecommunications industry, with significant results. This result was validated with an inter-rater percentage of 95.31%, indicating that the analyzed data had high accuracy. The business mainframe was the most utilized competency among the PMOs in the telecommunications industry, with 29.13% of findings. The occurrence percentages of each dimension with technical and professional specialists are as follows: 14.17%, effective intersocial competence is 12.60%, organizational stewardship is 9.45%, the business mainframe is 29.13%, and effective personal competence is 3.15%. This study provides the knowledge and skills required for successful performance to be demonstrated as a competent PMO manager.

A new computational method of unvoiced and voiced speech segmentation is proposed from the perspective of local linear manifold analysis of speech signals. It is based on the estimation of the dimension of short-time linear subspace. The subspace dimensional characteristics of the single phoneme signal are studied. The local signal vector set is analyzed by using the PCA algorithm to estimate the dimension of the data matrix formed by framing. The local PCA is used to analyze the speech signal to achieve the segmentation of unvoiced and voiced pronunciation. Simulation experiments prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Development and Control of Concise Semi-Active Ankle Prosthesis 简洁半主动踝关节假体的研制与控制

The Concise Semi-Active Ankle Prosthesis is developed and controlled in this paper. Modern ankle prostheses are devices that exchange the absent limbs, making it possible for amputees to run again. Utilizing both parallel and series spring systems, the compact semi-active ankle prosthetic is created. The leaf series springs, parallel springs, and a cam make up the ankle prosthesis's compact, semi-active model. To minimize torque and power consumption as much as possible, the parallel and series springs must work as a nonlinear system. The concise semi-active ankle prosthetic was modeled using the CADCAM software. ANSYS was employed to implement a finite element analysis of the model. Static structure simulation is carried out with a loading force of 1500 N representing the personal weight. The model is imported into MATLAB/Simulink to be controlled after being run via ADAMS for dynamic analysis. The performance of the model with control is extremely close to that of the non-amputee ankle, according to simulation data. To test this model, the concise semi-active ankle prosthetic is manufactured as is modeled using the CAD-CAM program. The control system consists of a DC motor, Arduino uno, Hbridge, encoder, and current sensor. The motion of the compact semi-active ankle prosthetic is extremely comparable to the motion of the non-amputee, according to the simulation and testing results.

An Adaptive Average Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm for Solving Numerical Optimization Problems 求解数值优化问题的自适应平均Grasshopper优化算法

The grasshopper optimization algorithm (GOA), inspired by the behavior of grasshopper swarms, has proven efficient in solving globally constrained optimization problems. However, the original GOA exhibits some shortcomings in that its original linear convergence parameter causes the exploration and exploitation processes to be unbalanced, leading to a slow convergence speed and a tendency to fall into a local optimum trap. This study proposes an adaptive average GOA (AAGOA) with a nonlinear convergence parameter that can improve optimization performance by overcoming the shortcomings of the original GOA. To evaluate the optimization capability of the proposed AAGOA, the algorithm was tested on the CEC2021 benchmark set, and its performance was compared to that of the original GOA. According to the analysis of the results, AAGOA is ranked first in the Friedman ranking test and can produce better optimization results compared to its counterparts.

Design of a Combined Filter to Reduce the Attenuation Decline in Magnitude Response 减少幅值响应衰减下降的组合滤波器设计

Certain biquad filters structures are characterized by a reduction of the attenuation at higher frequencies, caused by the finite value of the output resistance of the operational amplifier. In this paper, the design of the combined BP filter without the described decreasing is discussed for which one possible solution is to replace one of the biquads with another biquad that does not have this property. The result is a combined filter from different structures. The methodology to design a combined BP filter without the described decreasing is described in detail with the parameters of such biquads. The results of the proposed numerical procedure are verified by computer simulation, for this purpose a SPICE-like program MC-10 is used.
