This work applies a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the "Systematic Review Process to Software Engineering" methodology to determine if, in a natural disaster situation in the coastal city of Iquique, there are wireless communication technologies and protocols to permit the connectivity even if the communication is turn off. The SLR defines two questions. The first one aims to identify the most likely natural disaster situation for Iquique. The most common natural disaster situation was determined using information from the literature analyzed, along with its conditions, occurrence, and impact on the city. The second question depends on the answer to the first one and seeks to find the most suitable technology for the natural disaster situation obtained in the first question. The articles were classified based on their indexing and multi-phase review. The results show the most suitable technology available for mobile device communication considering the most frequent scenario of natural disasters in the city of Iquique.

This work developed a hybrid optimization algorithm called Combinatorial Optimization with a CoordÃnate Search Method, which allows for finding the optimal locations and capacities of distributed generation plants in an electrical distribution network. The algorithm was validated in the IEEE 69-bus test system, compared with the Elephant Herding Optimization method. Three scenarios were defined that were executed on the test system. In the first scenario, up to four distributed generation plants were located, reducing the value of the objective function to 0.0177. In the second scenario, satisfactory solutions were found that satisfied critical voltage and current restraints in the electrical system. All stresses were between 1.00 and 1.05 per unit for the first case. In the second case, two lines had the maximum current to flow through them limited to 1.00 ampere. In the third scenario, the algorithm was executed in the presence of capacitor banks. In this case, satisfactory results were also obtained, with reagent consumption in one of the distributed generation plants.

This article aims to determine the relationship between the latent aptitude and attitude variables in the typology of the entrepreneur. The data were collected from a sample of 140 entrepreneurs using a Likert scale questionnaire and processed through multivariate analysis using the confirmatory factor analysis tool. As a result, it can be seen, in the various calculated indicators, that the model presents a level of adjustment within the appropriate parameters, and discriminant validity and reliability would not require specification; therefore, the model is adequate to measure the typology of the entrepreneur in the latent variables studied. This research is relevant because it provides business incubators with a basis on which they can structure their various programs and measure the results obtained from them.

Demand planning related to making purchases of SKUs to maintain the SLA given by the company’s strategy and thus avoid stock breaks has an important role in the operation of the supply chain and the company’s operation. Demand forecasts based on qualitative methods and manual methods based on historical data obtained impact on production planning, consequently, the fulfillment of the products the customer requires. The objective of defining and implementing a purchasing recommender has been raised based on the machine learning model that more effectively adapts to variations in demand for products classified under an ABC model. Scikit-learn libraries are used to implement demand prediction models trained with historical product information. The result is a proposed prediction model with a better confidence level than the company’s current prediction model.

This work presents a chronological review of the most important wear models developed over the last seventy years. It also analyses the model’s hypothesis based on experimental observations of the wear’s progression. The results from this analysis show that the models which use the wear rate variable in the time have better accordance with experimental observations. This hypothesis is not used in most of the studied models
