Background: Patient experience and satisfaction are essential and widely used metrics for assessing health-care quality, and they can provide valuable and unique insights into daily hospital care and are accepted as independent dimension of quality of care, they have effect on treatment results, the loyalty of patients towards the organization, and malpractice accusations. The aim of this article is to evaluate the patients’ experience toward the Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) renewed outpatient department services, using the Generic Short Patient Experiences Questionnaire (GS-PEQ), as an indicator, reflective of health care service quality and for improvement of quality. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted among patients (N = 483), of legal age, or patients’ guardians, of both genders, attending the OBGYN outpatient department clinics, of the women’s hospital, at King Saud Medical City (KSMC), in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the period of October 2020 to January 2021. The Generic Short Patient Experiences Questionnaire (GS-PEQ) was randomly distributed to patients, immediately after attending the Outpatient clinical services, which is a self- administered questionnaire of multiple items that measures the most significant elements of patient perceived experience from an outpatient perspective. Results: The analysis showed that the majority of participants had positively responded to the questionnaire items, and 89.3% of participants were overall satisfied toward the OPD services provided. The socio-demographic data showed the majority of participants were females and in the age group of 31-40 years old, married, with a bachelor’s degree. The responses for every question were found to be significant, at P< 0.001. A significant correlation was found between the age group, education level and the perception of OPD clinics organization of work, and there was significant correlation between the education level and the satisfaction of help and treatment received at OPD services. Conclusion: It can be concluded, that the patients were satisfied and had a positive experience with the health care services provided by the institution, and patients have confidence in the clinicians’ professional skills, and perception of treatment as adapted to their situation. In addition, patients were involved in decisions regarding their treatment, and satisfied of the help and the treatment received, with overall perception of benefit received. Furthermore, patients expressed their disaffection with the waiting before admission to OPD services, proposing a matter that necessitate a further investigation for quality improvement. ,

The poor participation of youths in politics and governance in Africa may be as a result of the indigenous African believe that wisdom is associated with the aged and thus the elderly makes for best leaders. This has led to a lot of African nations with the worlds youngest populations as her majority being led by some of the world’s oldest leaders. Like Nigeria for example. In the aspect of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), we have old and unamended policies that no longer seek to favour the mental, physical or social sexual and reproductive wellbeing of the younger and younger African populace. The aim of this study was primarily to listen to what some African Youths proposed for the improvement of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in their Countries. This was done by using a validated data tool in a randomized cross-sectional study amongst 80 participants from over 11 African countries. The results showed that majority of the correspondents wanted to implement policies to improve Comprehensive Sexual Education, Community advocacy/awareness engagements and government policies amendments, respectively. Other areas mentioned were; improved Family planning services and, Human and reproductive health rights. While the two people said they were going to scale down SRHR and Do nothing concerning SRHR, respectively in their countries. No one made mention of improving any aspect concerning the LGBTQ community, what so ever.

Background: Health care workers are a part of community that provides health care services. They facilitate people from primary preventions to complex treatment procedures. In the course they often neglect their own health prospects especially oral health. The attitude regarding oral health in health care workers in India is a cause of concern. The aim of the study is to assess the oral health needs of the health care workers in Udaipur, India and to utilize data to be used as a guideline for improvements in their oral health care and improving their quality of life. Methodology: A written oral health case history format was prepared and was carefully examined on all willing participants for the study along with dental indices recording related to dental caries and tooth wear. The data was analyzed using IBM SPSS 21 software. Results: 87.5% of the health care workers were suffering from dental caries. Also, 16.3% had root stumps in their oral cavity of the teeth which were lost due to caries. Also, 17.5% participants had grossly decayed teeth due to caries. Noticeably, attrition of teeth was also noticed in 65% of the participants. These findings can be attributed to the amount of sugar present in food, lack of oral hygiene and poor oral health habits. Conclusion: Their knowledge regarding oral health care habits needs improvement. They are the people who can themselves apply and guide others to maintain good oral habits. Efforts should be established by caretakers to instill oral health education in health care workers.

Background: Worldwide the home health care (HHC) has many benefits. It improves countries health systems and clinical outcomes of patients, it is good solution for bed occupancy in hospitals. Home Health care (HHC) provides nursing services supported with Medicare for patients with chronic medical issues that prevent them from leaving the home. Objectives: This study aimed to describe frequency and rate of readmission to hospital by HHC patients according to diagnoses, and identify the factors associated with non-elective, readmission of HHC patients, at PSMMC, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 2019. Methods: Cross-sectional study with a total number of participants 213 done by using self-administered chart review. Result: A total of 213 Saudi health care patients participated, and most of them were in the age group of 75-85 years. The overall prevalence of readmission was 43.66%, and it was significantly higher among males at 55.81%. Poly-pharmacy and diabetes mellitus were the highest frequent causes of readmission at 75.27% and 65.59%, respectively. A significantly higher percentage of readmitted subjects have urinary tract infection and on NGT at 8.60% and 13.89% vs. 1.67% and 5% on the not readmitted group, respectively. On the other hand, the functional disability severity frequency and hypothyroidism were higher in the not readmitted groups compared to the readmitted one at 46.67%, and 27.5% vs. 32.26 and 12.9%, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups in the distance 25Km from central Riyadh. Male gender is associated with more than two folds risk of non-elective readmission of HHC compared to females, with OR =2.30, and a P-value of 0.004. Patients with urinary tract infections were more than five folds (OR= 5.55, P= 0.033) at risk of readmission, and those with surgical interventions have 6.91 folds increased risk of readmission. Besides, patients on NGT and those treated with a multidisciplinary team have OR of 3.09, and 3.41to be readmitted with a significant P-value (

Background: With the increase in internet usage in today’s time, the incidence of internet addiction has also increased. College students are especially vulnerable to internet, because of availability of time, unlimited access, limited parental supervision and the psychological and developmental characteristics of young adulthood. Objective of this study is to identify internet addiction among urban and rural youth population. Method: This cross sectional study was carried among urban and rural population in the locality of Sangli district, Maharashtra, India. A total of 200 students having an access to internet were selected by simple random sampling. Young’s Internet addiction scale, consisting of 20-item, based upon five-point Likert scale was used and subjects were classified accordingly. Result: The prevalence of internet addiction among urban population is 65% while in rural population is 70%. Mild IA was common among both populations while severe IA is seen more in rural population. As far as gender is considered, the prevalence is similar in male and female sample. The addicts use internet preferably for social media and social purposes. Conclusions:In this study, Young’s Internet Addiction Test (IAT) is used which is a simple and easy tool to assess Internet addiction among urban and rural youth population. It is necessary to adopt multi-sectoral approach to improve education among urban and rural youth population.

Background: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) leads to paralysis and premature death within an average of 3-5 years from the onset of symptoms. Therapeutic exercise helps to slow down the onset of muscle weakness. The aim of this review is to describe recent research data on the applications of therapeutic exercise in patients with ALS. The Google Scholar and PubMed databases were searched with the following keywords: motor neurone disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, exercises, rehabilitation. Both clinical trials and reviews were included in the review. In conclusion, the application of therapeutic exercise helps to better compensate the deficits and to minimize the muscle weakness and atrophy caused by the disease. Exercises such as aerobics and flexibility and mobility exercises help maintain work ability and endurance and prevent lack of use in the upper and lower limbs.
