Accurate state space realisations of resonant filters for high performance inverter control applications 用于高性能逆变器控制应用的谐振滤波器的精确状态空间实现

Controllers based on resonant Second Order Generalised Integrators (SOGIs) are attractive for AC conversion applications because they provide infinite loop gain at the target resonant frequency, which is required to eliminate AC steady state error in the regulated converter output. Furthermore the simple dual integrator based architecture of a SOGI filter facilitates frequency adaptation, for example as is used in motor drive applications. However a consequence of this simple architecture is that the digital form of the SOGI filter is highly susceptible to discretization errors which can compromise the converter steady state tracking accuracy. This paper now presents an alternative state-space approach to realise accurate discrete SOGI filters using Hold and Tustin (pre-warp) methods. The effectiveness of the proposed approach has been verified using simulation and experimental investigations of an inverter interfaced to a distorted grid and controlled using multiple harmonic SOGI filters.

A smooth and fast transition method for PMSM SMO based sensorless control 基于无传感器控制的PMSM SMO平滑快速过渡方法

A simple sliding-mode back electromotive-force (EMF) based speed sensorless control for permanent magnetic synchronous machine (PMSM) is realized in this paper. In order to perform the smooth and fast transition from the open-loop control to the closed-loop field oriented control (FOC), this paper analyzes the system behavior in the vicinity of the switching instant, then proposes a novel transition method for switching process. The method adopts an integral controller to regulate the Iq current reference, during the transition process, according to the deviation between estimated angle and reference angle. The method can provide fast and smooth transition, and it is also easy to be implemented by DSP. The simulation and experiment results show the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.
本文实现了一种简单的基于滑模反电动势的永磁同步电机无速度传感器控制方法。为了实现从开环控制到闭环场定向控制的平稳、快速过渡,分析了系统在切换瞬间附近的行为,提出了一种新的切换过程过渡方法。该方法在过渡过程中,根据估计角度与参考角度之间的偏差,采用积分控制器调节Iq电流基准。该方法可以提供快速、平稳的转换,并且易于在DSP上实现。仿真和实验结果表明了该方法的有效性和可行性。

Bus power control unit development and hardware-in-the-loop evaluation of commercial aircraft electric power system 商用飞机电力系统母线动力控制单元研制及硬件在环评估

As more electric aircraft power systems grow in complexity and power rating, the design, evaluation and testing of such systems become quite challenging tasks, while real-time simulator based hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) technique is considered a cost/time-effective solution. This paper applies RT-LAB to real time simulation for aircraft electric power system (EPS) with hardware Bus Power Control Unit (BPCU) in the loop. The control method for EPS network based on the Finite State Machine (FSM) structure has been used to realize the system reconfiguration operation. The experiment results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the simulation model as well as the operation of BPCU in the loop.

Field-circuit analysis of planar transformer at medium frequency for converter application 用于变流器的平面变压器中频场路分析

With the advancements in power electronics technologies and the momentum towards intelligent electrical energy management, there is an increasing demand for power grids to have additional functions. Solid-state transformer (SST) is a new type of power converter that is employed in microgrids to achieve miniaturisation and promising performance. It comprises an isolated DC-DC converter with planar transformer integrated in the high frequency AC stage. In order to study its applications at medium frequency, different converter topologies should be simulated and analysed. In this paper, planar litz wire is compared with solid conductor in the transformer embedded in HF-link isolated DC-DC converters. Its pros and cons are discussed in detail. Small signal equations for a phase-shifted full-bridge (PSFB) DC-DC converter have been also derived with its corresponding controller being designed. A DC-AC inverter is also designed and cascaded to the PSFB DC-DC converter for AC applications.

Fractionally-rated DC-DC stages for use in multilevel cascaded converter utility-scale battery energy storage systems 用于多电平级联变换器公用事业规模电池储能系统的分数额定DC-DC级

Multilevel cascaded converters for use in battery energy storage systems (BESSs) can utilise parallel-connected dc/dc conversion stages. These stages decouple each battery string voltage from the associated H-bridge capacitor voltage. Decoupling prevents second harmonic current ripple flowing in the batteries and compensates for variation in battery voltage due to state of charge. Instead of parallel-connected converters, this paper proposes use of series-connected fractionally-rated dc-dc conversion stages. Series-connected converters are shown to maintain the benefits of voltage decoupling but with significantly lower power ratings than their parallel-connected counterparts. Lower power ratings can facilitate a reduction in semiconductor losses and a lower cost for the BESS.

Switch mode converter based high performance power-hardware-in-the-loop grid emulator 基于开关模式变换器的高性能电源硬件在环电网仿真器

This paper presents a power-hardware-in-the-loop (PHiL) grid emulator (GE) which is based on switch-mode voltage source inverters (VSI) with the magnetic coupling. The grid emulator is controlled to reproduce the typical grid fault behaviors (under-voltage, interruption, frequency variation, fault-ride-through etc.) for the equipment under test (EUT). In past several different commercial grid emulators were coming out one after the other, and recently the switching mode voltage source inverter is getting more and more attention as an alternative PHiL grid emulator. Most of commercial GEs have a satisfied performance of the typical grid steady and transient emulation. However, these products mainly have a very limited bandwidth and lower dynamic response. Therefore, this project investigates a new topology of the VSI inverters by using the magnetic coupling. And the final PHiL system performs high power capability and high dynamic response at same time. A down-scaled 5kVA prototype of proposed grid emulator was implemented. A RL-load bank and a rectifier-load are used to represent the two different types of EUT. The obtained experimental results shows the feasibility of the PHiL grid emulator.

Research on a single-stage Flyback/boost LED driver with lower output ripple 低输出纹波单级反激/升压LED驱动器的研究

Due to low cost and high efficiency, the AC-DC single-stage LED driver has been used to realize power factor correction and DC-DC constant current output. But there usually exists the problem of larger twice line frequency output ripple, which is one of the important factors to affect LED optical properties and lifetime. A suitable kind of LED driver that a single-stage modified Flyback power factor correction circuit combined with a auxiliary CCM Boost converter and a current ripple suppression strategy is proposed in this paper, the operating principle of the proposed circuit and the implementation condition of low output current ripple are analyzed. The simulation and experiment are carried out to verify the correctness and feasibility of the theoretical analysis. The experimental results show that the output current ripple can be reduced effectively through the proposed single-stage LED driver, and the input characteristics doesn't be affected.

Model order reduction suitable for online linear parameter-varying thermal models of electric motors 模型阶数降阶适用于电机在线线性变参数热模型

For the control of high performance electrical machines, it is desirable to estimate the hot-spot temperatures in order to exploit the machine up to its thermal limits. An accurate temperature estimation can be achieved by means of high-order lumped parameter thermal networks. In variable-speed drives the thermal networks are parameter-varying due to the speed dependency of the convective heat transfer. These high-order parameter-varying models require a high calculation effort. For online temperature estimation it is desirable to reduce the order of the model. This paper presents an easy-to-implement model order reduction method for linear parameter-varying thermal model, which makes the model suitable for real-time online temperature estimation. The concept is exemplarily shown on an air-cooled induction motor for automotive applications. A high-order thermal model is built up and reduced using the proposed algorithm. The accuracy of models is validated by simulations and measurements.

Robustness improvement by using linear quadratic regulator control for PMSG 线性二次型调节器控制提高PMSG的鲁棒性

In order to improve the robustness of the control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG), the optimal linear quadratic regulator technique is adopted to both current and voltage controllers in this paper. Furthermore, an integral action is added to cancel the steady-state error. Control principles are analyzed and controller design is given in details. Simulation results reveal that the current can track perfectly the reference even in presence of disturbances, and the integral action did its job.
为了提高永磁同步发电机(PMSG)控制的鲁棒性,本文在电流控制器和电压控制器中都采用了最优线性二次型调节器技术。此外,还增加了一个积分作用来抵消稳态误差。分析了控制原理,给出了详细的控制器设计。仿真结果表明,即使存在干扰,电流也能很好地跟踪参考点,积分作用也能很好地发挥作用。

Classification of power quality events using wavelet packet transform and extreme learning machine 基于小波包变换和极限学习机的电能质量事件分类

A novel method of classifying Power quality (PQ) events using Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) and Extreme Learning Machines (ELM) has been proposed. In recent times, the power quality has been a major research concern due to changing regulations, liberalized distribution market and increased use of power electronic based equipment. The first step of any remedial action requires proper identification of PQ events. One of the major challenge of this event identification is to extract significant features from the limited measurements, which can subsequently be used for the classification. Therefore, in the present study Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) has been used to obtain several mathematical features. These features can segregate both single and simultaneous PQ event occurrences. Further to improve the classification performance, the ELM based classifier has been used. This classifier significantly reduces the training time by many-fold. The performance of the proposed approach has been compared with ANN based classifier considering over 1000 PQ signals from various PQ events. The results of the simulation demonstrate that the proposed approach can achieve over 99% classification accuracy.
