In this paper, the conceptual model of radio imaging system for indoor localization was presented. The beacon technology was used in this application to navigation. The development of the system will require extensive efforts to build a suitable measurement system to detect presence of people in the indoor close spaces.

Energy efficiency analysis of railway turnout heating with a simplified snow model using classical and contactless heating method 采用经典非接触式加热方法的简化积雪模型下铁路道岔加热节能分析

Electrical heating of railway turnouts is a considerable technical and economic challenge, hence the need to conduct research for optimization of a railway turnouts heating system. This paper presents results of a numerical analysis and experimental research on heating systems mounted on rail turnouts in line with the classical method and including a heater thermally insulated from the base of a rail. The numerical calculations of the heating processes were carried out in ANSYS software.

Towards high precision electrical capacitance tomography multilayer sensor structure using 3D modelling and 3D printing method 采用三维建模和3D打印方法实现高精度电容层析多层传感器结构

3D ECT sensors are responsible for detecting spatial capacitance changes caused by spatial changes in electrical permittivity. In this paper authors propose a novel approach to the 3D ECT sensors fabrication process that use 3D computer modelling and 3D printing to easily get any sensor shape, electrode layout, scale and shielding strategy. The proposed method is much faster, more flexible and accurate than previously used hand-made approach. This paper compares and analysis the measurement abilities of a 3D ECT sensor made with traditional hand-made technique with a device printed using a new approach.

Convergence error exploration for electrical impedance tomography problems with open and closed domains 开域和闭域电阻抗层析成像问题的收敛误差探索

A fundamental part of the design of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) experiments is the selection of the structure of the computational mesh. Individual mesh elements are required to be sufficiently small to recover the behavior stated on the partial differential equations (PDE) EIT model. On the contrary, mesh elements needs to be not so small to fit the computation constraints of modern hardware. The target is to allow a fast iterative execution of the PDE model as performed by many optimization schemes. The estimation of the error over a reference mesh size is an important factor to compare with the total computation time for mesh generation, forward model evaluation, and tomographic inversion. In this work, we analyze the a posteriori convergence of EIT image reconstruction algorithms with respect to the mesh element size and computation time for open and closed domains. The tomographic inversion error is estimated using Euclidean and Jaccard distances for the output images.

Basic evaluation of limb exercises based on electromyography and classification methods 基于肌电图和分类方法的肢体运动基本评价

Symptoms caused by cerebral palsy or stroke deprive a person partially or even completely of his ability to move. Nowadays we can observe more technologically advanced rehabilitation devices which incorporate biofeedback into the process of rehabilitation of such people. However, there is still a lack of devices that would analyse, assess, and control (independently or with limited support) specialised movement exercises. Here we propose an idea of an automated exercise evaluation mechanism based on machine learning techniques, such as: support vector machines, decision trees, random forest, and k-nearest neighbours. While being only a preliminary case study, our research showed that with appropriate processing even a 100% accuracy score can be achieved in classifying whether an exercise is executed well or not.

The purpose of this paper is to present an algorithm of image processing dedicated for analysis of a bulk solid transport in pneumatic conveying installation. The flow analysis was conducted with aid of images gathered from CCD sensor. The obtained, preliminary results allow to track the changes of settled layer of material in horizontal part of installation. This information provides significant knowledge about flow conditions.

The article presents the problem of model mapping with the use of the Reverse Engineering method and simulations of the phenomena with the use of the Ansys Fluent software package. The research problem was the model of an internal combustion engine with variable compression ratio, where on the basis of analyzes, the authors tried to estimate the opening time of a blow-off valve to prevent engine knocking.

Review and comparison of smoothing algorithms for one-dimensional data noise reduction 一维数据降噪的平滑算法综述与比较

The paper considers the choice of parameters of smoothing algorithms for data denoising. The impact of the window size on smoothing accuracy was analyzed. The parameters of denoising filters were selected with respect to the mean-square error between the computed linear regression and the noisy signal. Finally, we have compared mean, median, Savitzky-Golay, Kalman and Gaussian filter algorithms for the data from the digital sensor. The figure of merit was also the algorithm execution time.

Impact of multiple magnet sources on flow parameters of arterial blood with a specific pulse 多磁源对特定脉冲动脉血流量参数的影响

Presented work shows the numerical analysis of interaction of magnetic field produced by permanent magnets array surrounding the arterial vessel with circulating blood of paramagnetic properties. In the area of magnetic field operation eddy currents are induced. That affects both the distribution of effective magnetic field strength inside the blood vessel as well as the magnetic forces which acts on various blood components. As a result this is reflected in the turbulence of blood flow and changes in blood pressure over time. Importantly, performed calculations were done for selected configuration and different polarities of utilized magnet sources. Presented consideration may be of great importance during nanoparticle targeting and paramagnetic drug delivery to tumor in magnetic hyperthermia treatment.

Application of visual speech synthesis in therapy of auditory verbal hallucinations 视觉语音合成在听觉言语幻觉治疗中的应用

In this article the application of a visual speech synthesis system in the therapy of auditory verbal hallucinations is presented. In the demonstrated proof-of-concept implementation an animated talking head driven by a synthetic voice converses with the patient. The proposed system integrates the XFace face model, synthetic voice generated by text-to-speech systems available on the market and the custom automatic lip synchronization algorithm. The article describes the signal processing algorithms used in the proposed system and opinions gathered from twelve patients after the treatment process. Most of the patients admitted that they changed their attitude to the hallucinations thanks to the avatar based therapy, and they were also satisfied with the audio video content presented during the therapy.
