Some of testicular tumor cases can present with symptoms like epididymo-orchitis and this condition can cause delay in the diagnosis of testis tumor. Even though scrotal Doppler ultrasound has high sensitivity (up to 100%) in the diagnosis of testicular lesions; it alone may not be sufficient in the differential diagnosis of benign and malign lesions. The delay of the diagnosis can cause progression of stage and consequently worsening prognosis. In this case, it was aimed to present a case that is thought to be testicular tumor according to Elastography which applies with clinical features like epididymo-orchitis and cannot be diagnosed with B-mode scrotal Doppler ultrasound.

iyileştirme ve yaşam kalitesinde artışla tedaviye dahil olmasıyla, ileri evre/metastatik renal hücreli karsinom (RHK) hastalarının tedavisinde yaşam kalitesi değerlendirmeleri önemli bir konu haline gelmiştir. Yaşam kalitesi hedefe yönelik tedavide ilk seçenek ajanı belirlemeyi tercih etmeyi etkileyen en önemli faktörlerden biri haline gelmiştir. İlk seçilen ajanla tedavide saptanan yaşam kalitesi deneyimi, ikinci basamak tedavideki ajanı seçmeyi de etkileyebilmektedir. Yaşam kalitesinin sadece tedaviye bağlı ortaya çıkan etkilerden değil hastalığın kendisinde görülen semptomlar ve ona bağlı olarak görülen klinik komplikasyonlardan da etkilenmesi beklenebilir. Bu derlemede ileri evre/metastatik RHK’da hedefe yönelik tedavi çağında hastaların yaşam kalitesi ile ilgili yapılmış çalışmaları değerlendirmeyi amaçladık. Anahtar Kelimeler: Renal hücreli kanser, yaşam kalitesi, hedefe yönelik tedavi The assessment of quality of life (QoL) has an important role in the management of patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) in the era of targeted therapies which brought significant improvements in progression-free survival and QoL in recent years. Moreover, QoL is becoming one of the main factors influencing the choice of targeted agent, and QoL experienced during first-line treatment may affect the choice of the second-line therapy. QoL may not be affected only by treatment-related effects, but also mRCC symptoms and its clinical complications can alter QoL. It was aimed to review the studies performed to assess the QoL of the patients with mRCC receiving targeted therapy.
