EnglishThe archeological excavation in the Ayanis settlement of the Urartu civilisation, which is in today’s Van district of Turkey, is one of the most longlasting excavations in Turkey. Therefore, it indicates the excavation practice in Turkey in the academy of archeology. This study focuses on the Ayanis excavation and analyzes the organization of the excavation team, relationships between the team members, and the way they analyze their object of study. The study also handles how the relationships there are carried to the academy and how the relationships in the academy are affected by them. This study, which is an applied sociological research of archeological practice, aims to induce simple theoretical abstractions from the experiences of the excavation team, which can be seen as a narrow-scale social group. The reseach is conducted using grounded theory, which is seen as more suitable for studying small groups. As such, simple abstract concepts are induced in the light of the in-depth observation of and interviews with the participants of the excavation.

The validity of any theory depends on its hypothesis resisting the passage of time and empirical evidence beyond the time they were raised. In this paper an effort is made to contrast the classical theories of labor insertion, trying to validate them again, but with more recent data, for the Spanish context and focusing attention on the young population of our country between 2006 and 2014 (the entire period that goes from the dawn of the economic crisis - before 2007 - until 2014, when the Spanish economy seemed to improve). With data from different sources (theoretical and statistical) we have tried to confirm or not the current approach of such classical theoretical approaches, concluding that, with nuances of the chosen temporal context, many of the hypotheses of these theories are still useful for the analysis, the interpretation and explanation of the labor insertion of young people in Spain.

This article presents a case study of the leader Juan Francisco Megino, mayor of the city of Almeria between 1995 and 1999, who later created his own party (Grupo Independiente por Almeria, GIAL) to regain local power. Once the starting premises and the analytic approach have been disclosed, the evolution of Megino’s leadership is contextualized and examined in detail. The results include the difficulty of renewing leadership in independent political parties of local scope, and the intense link between leader and party

This publication gives an account of the first results of an ethnographic investigation that seeks to know the future expectations of women in Argentina who are receiving conditional monetary transfers. With the aim of describing the life prospects that women/mothers build from their own experiences, an approach to the universe of their practices and representations was made using techniques such as surveys, in-depth interviews and tension theory from 2015 to 2017 in Parana, Argentina. The results indicated that future prospects for jobs and education show high percentages (29% and 27%, respectively). At the same time, care appears to be constant, shared with other options for the future that reflect the desire of women to participate in public areas, which allows them to think of “vanishing points” that go beyond the objectives and conditionalities of transfers, enabling feminist criticism about reinforcements of stereotyped gender roles.

Since 2008, the Republic of Mali has been suffering from insecurity due to risksposed by radical Islamic terrorists. Initially, the threat was concentrated in the northern territories by terrorist groups from the Magreb that were associated with insurgent Tuareg groups. Military combat operations succeeded in preventing the terrorists from advancing towards the south in 2013. In recent years, however,Islamic terroristshavebeen experimenting with new tactics to infiltrate the communities of central Mali;these threats have been more difficult to combat by military means alone. This article explores and characterizes terrorist insecurity in Mali and the actions taken between 2007 and 2019to reduce it. The methodology consists of the bibliographic, documentary and statistical analyses of published information sources. The conclusions highlight the international nature of the terrorist risk and the need to add, intensive policies to develop rural Mali areas and strengthen its Welfare State, to the military fight against terrorism.
