Analysis of random radar networks 随机雷达网络分析

We introduce the notion of random radar networks to analyze the effect of geometry in distributed radar systems. We first analyze unistatic systems with a single receiver selected at random from the available group. We approximate the distribution of the individual signal-to-interference-plus-noise (SINR) at the sensors and find the corresponding mean and variance. We then analyze multistatic systems and provide an upper bound on performance. We show that in order to exploit the spatial diversity available to the system, the sensors should be large enough to effectively cancel interfering sources. We underline a design tradeoff between spatial diversity and interference cancellation for multistatic radar networks. We finally provide the results of simulations to validate our analysis.

A CMOS video sensor for High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging 高动态范围(HDR)成像CMOS视频传感器

A CMOS video sensor for high dynamic range (HDR) imaging is discussed. Unlike traditional memory-intensive methods for HDR imaging where frames with different exposure times are digitally combined to obtain an HDR frame, HDR imaging is accomplished in the sensor at pixel level by digitally combining sub-pixels with different exposure times to obtain an HDR pixel. In HDR mode, the prototype video sensor demonstrated a phenomenal 26 dB improvement in dynamic range over normal mode.

Power allocation method for GMD-based precoded MIMO-OFDM system with reduced feedback 基于gmd的减反馈预编码MIMO-OFDM系统功率分配方法

A precoding method has been proposed for the wireless systems with limited feedback overhead by properly decomposing the time-domain channel impulse response matrix. For the geometric mean decomposition (GMD)-based precoding, we propose a power allocation method using the upper bound for the bit error rate (BER). Since the objective function is the function of the precoding matrix and power allocation matrix, we also propose an iterative optimization procedure, which uses two separate objective functions to select the precoding matrix from the codebook and find the optimum power allocation simultaneously.

ISI effects in a hybrid ICA-SVM modulation recognition algorithm 混合ICA-SVM调制识别算法中的ISI效应

Automatic modulation recognition is a topic of interest in many fields including signal surveillance, multi-user detection and radio frequency spectrum monitoring. In this paper the effect of inter symbol interference (ISI) on the performance of a recently proposed hybrid ICA-SVM modulation recognition algorithm is studied. The algorithm combines elements of cyclo-spectral analysis, ICA and SVM algorithms to distinguish between different types of continuous phase modulations (CPM) and phase shift keying modulations. Although ISI decreases the achievable SVM margin, combining the ICA-SVM hybrid approach with feature equalization and a modified SVM kernel allows reliable classification to occur when ISI is present.

Magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging is a powerful tool and increasingly used to characterize the microstructure of ordered tissues such as the brain white matter and myocardium. However, its practical applications have been hampered by low SNR and long scan time. The current paper describes techniques combining reduced encoding imaging and constrained reconstruction that are greatly promising for breaking through these limitations.

Analytical analysis of transient and steady-state properties of the proportionate NLMS algorithm 比例NLMS算法的暂态和稳态特性分析

Using reasonable approximations we do analytical analysis of properties of the proportionate normalized least mean square algorithm (PNLMS) in the case of white and stationary input signal. This work extends ideas applied to the simplified-PNLMS algorithm to the PNLMS algorithm. In particular, the analysis incorporates the max function employed by the PNLMS algorithm which is not present in the simplified-PNLMS algorithm. The properties of the PNLMS are predicted for both the transient and steady state. An expression for the mean weight deviation in steady state is also presented. Theoretical expectations are compared with results obtained by numerical simulations.

Diversity multiplexing trade-off for opportunistic multiple access relay channel 机会多址中继信道的分集多路复用权衡

This work studies the multiple access relay channel (MARC), specifically it explores the effect of multiuser diversity on the diversity multiplexing trade-off (DMT) performance of the MARC. A new opportunistic channel access communication scheme is proposed where the user selection depends only on the source-destination channels coefficients. This is proven to be DMT optimal. Both non-orthogonal and orthogonal relay transmission are studied under various cooperation protocols. This work does not assume CSI at the transmitters and assumes only 1-bit feedback from the destination to the sources.

Compressed sensing in MIMO radar MIMO雷达中的压缩感知

Compressed sensing is a technique for efficiently sampling signals which are sparse in some transform domain. Recently, the idea of compressed sensing has been used in the radar system. When the number of targets on the range-Doppler plane is small, the target scene can be reconstructed by employing the compressed sensing techniques. In this paper, we extend this idea to the MIMO radar. In the MIMO radar, the compressed sensing technique can be used to reconstruct the target scene when the signals are sparse in the range-Doppler-angle space. To effectively reconstruct the target scene, it is required that the correlation between the target responses be small. In this paper, a waveform design method is introduced to reduce the correlations between target responses. Because of the increased dimensionality in MIMO radars as compared to phased array radars, the impact of compressed sensing will be very significant there.

Improve detection performance of speech recognizer in an automotive environment 提高语音识别器在汽车环境中的检测性能

In-car speech recognition is a challenging area of research. The area has been studied, and more of is concentrated on addressing the issues in acoustic echo cancellation (AEC). In application such as a voice controlled car audio system, voice commands by the driver are corrupted by audio out of loudspeaker. In this paper we propose and implement a robust, low complex voice controller for car audio system involving an efficient AEC and an effective detection module for a simple speech recognizer The proposed method has been implemented on OMAP 2420 TI-DSP C55x, with a performance of under 59 mega cycles for complete system and is tested in real time environment.

The area has been studied, and more of is concentrated on addressing the issues in acoustic echo cancellation (AEC). In application such as a voice controlled car audio system, voice commands by the driver are corrupted by audio out of loudspeaker.
