Design and Implementation of an Interactive Road Safety System for Young Bikers 青少年骑单车互动道路安全系统的设计与实现

Road accidents create a big problem for mankind. The lives of more than 1.25 million people are cut short as a result of road traffic accident every year. Around 20 and 50 million more people suffer non-fatal injuries, with most cases leading to a disability as a result of their injury. Without sustained action, road traffic crashes are predicted to become the seventh leading cause of death by 2030. Hence, the demand to implement safety features in vehicles has increased drastically. This problem leads to severe injuries particularly in low-income and middle-income countries where the number of motorcycles on road is increasing. This paper describes the design and implementation of the prototype of an interactive safety system for bikers mainly focused on the youngsters of this generation. The system contains alcohol detection, voice-based interaction, speed measurement, road condition-based speed control, and accident detection and notification capabilities. It also provides online access to the speed of the vehicle for parents or guardians.

An Efficient Predictive technique to Autoscale the Resources for Web applications in Private cloud 私有云中Web应用程序资源自动伸缩的有效预测技术

Cloud computing refers to the delivery of computing resources over the network based on user demand. Some web applications may experience different workload at different times, automatic provisioning needs to work efficiently and viably at any point of time. Autoscaling is a feature of cloud computing that has the capability to scale the resources according to demand. Autoscaling provides better fault tolerance, availability and cost management. Although Autoscaling is beneficial, it is not easy to implement. Effective Autoscaling requires techniques to foresee future workload as well as the resources needed to handle the workload. Reactive Autoscaling strategy adds or reduces resources based on threshold set. The predictive strategy is used to address the issues like rapid spike in demand, outages and variable traffic patterns from web applications by providing necessary scaling actions beforehand. In the proposed work, Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Recurrent Neural Network–Long Short Term Memory (RNN-LSTM) techniques are used for predicting the future workload of based on CPU and RAM usage rate collected from three tier architecture of web application integrated in private cloud. On comparing the performance metrics of both the techniques, the RNN-LSTM deep learning technique gives the minimum error rate and can be applied on large datasets for predicting the future workload of web applications in a private cloud.

Modified Triple Band Microstrip Patch antenna for Higher 5G bands 改进的三波段微带贴片天线,用于更高的5G频段

This paper presents the design of a modified triple band microstrip patch antenna operating at 28 GHz for Higher 5G bands. The proposed antenna consists of a modified rectangular ring with fork shaped strip. The antenna is designed with dimensions of 30×40×1.6 mm on a RT/Duroid 5880 substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.2. The proposed antenna design resonated at the triple frequencies 28 GHz, 31.45 GHz and 34.6 with −12.5114 dB, −16.5928 dB, −15.7107 dB return loss and covers −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 1.37 GHz (27.47–28.84 GHz) at 28 GHz, 0.11 GHz (31.38–31.49 GHz) at 31.45 GHz and 34.6 GHz (33.59–36.01 GHz), which covers the higher band of 5G mobile application. Further, the maximum gain of 3.7308 dB and VSWR of 1.6206, which is less than 2 and is acceptable to have for high frequency antenna with minimum signal loss at 28 GHz to be used in USA, Korea and Japan.

Review of Ideal Binary and Ratio Mask Estimation Techniques for Monaural Speech Separation 单耳语音分离的理想二值和比例掩码估计技术综述

Monaural speech separation is the process of separating the target speech from a noisy speech mixture recorded using single microphone. It can be used in wide range of applications including mobile telephony, hearing aid design and robust automatic speech and speaker recognition (ASR). Recently, researchers use computational auditory scene analysis (CASA) technique to successfully separate the target speech from the monaural noisy speech mixture. In CASA based monaural speech separation techniques, Ideal binary mask (IBM) and Ideal ratio mask (IRM) has been proposed as a computational goal to improve the speech intelligibility and speech quality. This paper reviews and reports various research works carried out using CASA techniques with IBM and IRM to improve speech intelligibility and quality. The experimental results show that CASA systems using IBM improves the speech intelligibility and using IRM improves the speech quality.

An Assessment of Total Harmonic Distortion of Dual PV and Dual Z source with different PWM Controller Techniques 不同PWM控制技术对双PV源和双Z源总谐波失真的影响

This research work explores the dual Renewable energy source(RES) with independent voltage and Z source network to obtain low total harmonic distortion(THD) and voltage stress with the non linear load. By using different gate pulse generation techniques like space vector modulation(SVM) and Modified boost control method voltage gain will be improved. This evaluation may suggest researchers in the alternative power source industry. The performance of the dual PV and dual z source network with two controllers can be analysed with MATLAB/Simulink software.

Web based Biometric Validation Using Biological Identities: An Elaborate Survey 使用生物身份的基于网络的生物识别验证:一个详细的调查

This paper details the acquisition techniques of various physiological traits of hand. It also discusses on the preprocessing and feature extraction techniques involved in matching the acquired images of traits with the existing databases shared on cloud which favors the identification of individuals. Thus the aim of the authors is to present an extensive survey of different approaches involved in recognizing individuals with the help of an infrastructure that uses their physiological traits of hand. This in turn overcomes the disadvantage of re-registering the physiological traits of the individuals. The different approaches are compared based on the percentage of False Acceptance Rate (FAR) and False Rejection Rate (FRR). This paper also proposes a framework for registering the traits for a single time over the internet.

Overview of ESP8266 Wi-Fi module based Smart Irrigation System using IOT 基于ESP8266 Wi-Fi模块的IOT智能灌溉系统概述

This paper demonstrates the efficient use of Internet of Things for the traditional agriculture. It shows the use of Arduino and ESP8266 based monitored and controlled smart irrigation systems, which is also cost-effective and simple. It is beneficial for farmers to irrigate there land conveniently by the application of automatic irrigation system. This smart irrigation system has pH sensor, water flow sensor, temperature sensor and soil moisture sensor that measure respectively and based on these sensors arduino microcontroller drives the servo motor and pump. Arduino received the information and transmitted with ESP8266 Wi-Fi module wirelessly to the website through internet. This transmitted information is monitor and control by using IOT. This enables the remote control mechanism through a secure internet web connection to the user. A website has been prepared which present the actual time values and reference values of various factors needed by crops. Users can control water pumps and sprinklers through the website and keep an eye on the reference values which will help the farmer increase production with quality crops.

Integration of Hybrid Energy sources for Grid Connected AC Distribution System 并网交流配电系统中混合能源的集成

This paper proposes renewable energy system interface with AC distribution system. AC interface allows for increases the system efficiency and decreases the power demand. In this project issues on renewable system interfaces with AC system are analyzed theoretically. In addition, this project proposes a protective scheme for islanding detection. In current scenario islanding condition is dangerous for grid workers who may not know that load is still powered even though there is no power from the grid. For this reason islanding condition must be detect and immediately stop producing power. For that aspects, this project proposed a new current injection control technique using microcontroller to detect the islanding condition and provide the human safety and equipment protection.

Design of Combined UWB and MIMO UWB Antenna for Mobile Terminals 移动终端UWB和MIMO联合UWB天线设计

In recent wireless communication systems, Ultra-wideband (UWB) techniques are the research hotspot for their inherit advantages, such as: low-power, high data rate in a limited range and easy fabrication. Achieving ultra-wideband characteristics with preserving the compactness of the structure is highly demanded in printed patch antennas. MIMO technology provides the multipath propagations, offering spatial diversity for the best signal reception. A 3-port complementary and Slot combined antenna is proposed with one port operating at UWB and other two ports at upper wimax band ranging from 5.2 to 7.5GHZ frequency. Simulations and measurements showed that the use of corrugation increases the bandwidth of the slot structure. The front radiating patch structure is a complementary bow-tie antenna and the two bow-tie slots are excited at the back through micro strip line rounded at its edges. The Complementary structure produces a bandwidth of 120% and each single bow arm slots produces 36% bandwidth. Mutual coupling coefficient between the ports is lesser than -10 dB throughout the operating band. Design considerations for the front and back radiating structure are extensively discussed.

PI and PD Fuzzy Neural Network Controller Basedon Extended Kalman Filter for Brushless Drives 基于扩展卡尔曼滤波的PI和PD模糊神经网络控制器用于无刷驱动

This paper presents development of PI and PD fuzzy neural network (FNN) controller for online speed tracking of brushless drives. This system is implemented by extended kalman filter (EKF) training algorithm to train PI FNN and PD FNN controller. FNN is a learning technique which finds fuzzy logic parameters by initiating techniques from artificial neural networks.Each FNN controller has four internal layers. Membership function and weights are modified according to the EKF training capability. The main objective is to replace classical PID controller by parallel PI FNN and PD FNN controller using EKF training algorithm. Parallel PI and PD FNN controller proves its improvement over conventional PID controller by comparing both learning algorithm. The hardware design is implemented with dSPACE DS1104 DSP and MATLAB.Results shows the superior learning capability and robust response of the proposed FNN controller in real time for different operating conditions.
