Novel Real-Time Decision-Based Carrier Tracking for Software-Defined Radios Using M-ARY QAM Modulation 基于M-ARY QAM调制的软件无线电实时决策载波跟踪

In this paper, a scalable and real-time decision-based carrier tracking for software defined radio (SDR) for M-ary QAM modulation has been proposed and tested in real-time using the universal software radio peripheral (USRP)-2922. The proposed system provides real-time decision-based carrier tracking for improved efficiency and performance. The real-time transfer of data has been done using the USRP-2922 hardware using the M-ary QAM modulation scheme for data transmission. The novelty of the proposed system is that one can transfer random data (binary bits), text or an image which can be encoded using the desired forward error correction codes (FEC) namely the convolution coding/Viterbi soft decision decoding and the turbo coding/decoding. The proposed novel SDR transceiver system with real-time decision-based carrier tracking shows an improved performance for different parameters such as the bit error rate (BER) and signal to noise ratio (Eb/No).

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a strategic economic project aiming at increasing regional connectivity for economic development. The economic corridor will connect Pakistan's Gwadar port with Kashgar in Western China between 2014 and 2030 by developing a transport infrastructure network consisting of road and rail. It is not only expected to be beneficial for Pakistan and China but is also expected to have positive spillover effects on other countries by enhancing geographical connectivity.

Predictive Modeling of Stress in the Healthcare Industry During COVID-19: A Novel Approach Using XGBoost, SHAP Values, and Tree Explainer COVID-19期间医疗保健行业压力预测建模:使用XGBoost、SHAP值和Tree Explainer的新方法

There was a substantial medicine shortage and an increase in morbidity due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. This pandemic has also had a drastic impact on healthcare professionals' psychological health as they were surrounded by suffering, death, and isolation. Healthcare practitioners in North India were sent a self-administered questionnaire based on the COVID-19 Stress Scale (N = 436) from March to May 2021. With 10-fold cross-validation, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) was used to predict the individual stress levels. XGBoost classifier was applied, and classification accuracy was 88%. The results of this research show that approximately 52.6% of healthcare specialists in the dataset exceed the severe psychiatric morbidity standards. Further, to determine which attribute had a significant impact on stress prediction, advanced techniques (SHAP values), and tree explainer were applied. The two most significant stress predictors were found to be medicine shortage and trouble in concentrating.

The desire to develop software with more and more functionalities to make human work easier pushes the industry towards developing various programming languages. The existence of the various programming languages in today's scenario raises the need for their evaluation. The motive of this research is the development of a deterministic decision support framework to solve the object-oriented programming (OOP) language's selection problem. In the present study, OOP language's selection problem is modeled as a multi-criteria decision-making, and a novel fuzzy-distance based approach is anticipated to solve the same. To demonstrate the working of developed framework, a case study consisting of the selection of seven programming languages is presented. The results of this study depict that Python is the most preferred language compared to other object-oriented programming languages. Selection of OOP languages helps to select the most appropriate language, which provides better opportunities in the business domain and will result in high success for engineering students.

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Modulus Similarity Measure 直觉模糊模相似测度

The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) is an expected explanation for finding the appropriate information. It originated from concept of fuzzy set (FS) theory, which extends the classical conception of a fuzzy set. This paper examines a number of widely employed similarity measures then proposes an IFSs modulus similarity measure and a weight similarity measure. Initially, the authors have discussed numerous existing similarity measures, some of which are unable to justify the axioms of being a similarity measure. Furthermore, some numerical examples are presented to compare the existing similarity measures with the proposed similarity measure. The proposed similarity measure is a practical and effective method for determining the qualitative similarity between IFSs, which do not have any paradoxical nature. In addition, the proposed similarity measure has been demonstrated practically in pattern recognition and medical diagnosis problem. Suggestions for future research comprise the conclusions of the paper.

Study and Analysis of Various Cloud Security, Authentication, and Data Storage Models: A Challenging Overview 各种云安全、认证和数据存储模型的研究和分析:一个具有挑战性的概述

In recent days, widespread acceptance of cloud data storage applications increases various privacy problems and security problems. Outsourced data security is considered the main confrontation for cloud clients because of data control loss. This review presents a detailed survey of 50 research papers presenting privacy preservation approaches, namely authentication-based, cloud security-based, data storage-based, data security-based, and encryption-based techniques. The analysis is considered based on the categorization of approaches, dataset employed, utilized software tools, published year, and the performance metrics are discussed. Furthermore, problems raised in existing privacy preservation techniques are elucidated in the research gaps and problems section. The future work of this study is based on the research gaps and problems recognized from present research schemes. Additionally, JAVA software language is widely utilized for implementing privacy preservation models, and the Amazon access sample database is a commonly employed dataset for the privacy preservation approach.

Attention Res-UNet: Attention Residual UNet With Focal Tversky Loss for Skin Lesion Segmentation 注意残留UNet:局部Tversky损失的注意残留UNet用于皮肤病变分割

During a dermoscopy examination, accurate and automatic skin lesion detection and segmentation can assist medical experts in resecting problematic areas and decrease the risk of deaths due to skin cancer. In order to develop fully automated deep learning model for skin lesion segmentation, the authors design a model Attention Res-UNet by incorporating residual connections, squeeze and excite units, atrous spatial pyramid pooling, and attention gates in basic UNet architecture. This model uses focal tversky loss function to achieve better trade off among recall and precision when training on smaller size lesions while improving the overall outcome of the proposed model. The results of experiments have demonstrated that this design, when evaluated on publicly available ISIC 2018 skin lesion segmentation dataset, outperforms the existing standard methods with a Dice score of 89.14% and IoU of 81.16%; and achieves better trade off among precision and recall. The authors have also performed statistical test of this model with other standard methods and evaluated that this model is statistically significant.

This paper proposes a decision support model (DSM) to be used by project managers (PM) in the research of new products within multinational companies to select the right option to mitigate scope variability during critical junctures like project continuity. On-the-shelf DSM are leveraged to overcome their shortcomings with more effective and relevant solutions. The proposed DSM is a consolidation of on-the-shelf DSM and methodologies such as balanced scorecard; quality function deployment; analytic hierarchy process; strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; and agile methodology, leading to an application in a decision support system (DSS) using progressive web applications. Feedback and input were collected through interviews with experienced PMs. Performance indicators were then developed to be reviewed by the PM to verify their applicability. Based on the feedback obtained, the developed model contributes to the engineering research industry as it mitigates common challenges that PMs face by efficiently providing a solution-seeking guideline.

Design Thinking and Compliance as Drivers for Decision Support System Adoption in Agriculture 设计思维与遵从性:农业决策支持系统采用的驱动因素

To respond to increasing demands for good agricultural practices (GAP) and food safety, governments globally are introducing stringent regulations to govern agricultural compliance that affect production, storage, and sales activities. New legislation in Argentina to enforce GAP is an opportunity to test compliance as an incentive to adopt technological solutions. This research aims to determine whether compliance software is an effective gateway to shift farmers' decision-making strategies from intuition-based to evidence-based, improving agricultural productivity through technology. Integrating technology can be a significant hurdle for farms but is also a steppingstone towards more reliable processes. To address this, the authors prototype a decision support system (DSS) for greenhouse farmers in La Plata, Argentina, to help farmers keep traceable records of their crops and treatments to reduce compliance risk. The project incorporates lessons learned from previous DSS projects and utilises design-thinking strategies to involve the end-user in the development.

The realization of infrastructures and the deployment of processes can follow project formalism. Generally, a project goes through a design and a realization phase. Between these two phases, there is a crucial milestone: Launching the project. Making this decision is not easy at all, and constitutes a real problem-- the main reasons to this are the numerous numbers of criteria (for technical, economic, social, environmental dimensions) and risks in the sense of feared events. Criteria and risks are most of the time not considered due to lack of time (for formalization) and the difficulty to handle them. The objective of this paper is to propose a relevant approach to make the decision of launching the project or not. The proposal outlined is innovative in that it can consider indicators based on several appropriate criteria, the associated risks, and their ways of management. The fact of considering several criteria and risks increases the probability of making the good decision.
