Efficiency of mobile investigation process (Smartphone Forensics) is associated with its evidence analysis phase. This phase rests on collection and location of all evidence and their temporal, functional and relational combinations. High volume of these sets evidence, its complexity and size of relations between the different data types may complicate the evidence analysis phase and crime reconstruction. In this paper, we propose a temporal and functional analysis method based on Data mining (unsupervised classification). We introduce a new technique of clustering ascending based on dynamic causality and events reconstruction (SMS and Calls) in time, in this case, we can help an investigator to identify anomalies and information on crime and to provide a global vision of all events through all collected evidences.

Extracting knowledge from text data and taking its full advantage has been an important way to reduce its computation and accelerate processing, especially for large amounts of data. Thus, different approaches and methodologies for modeling and representing textual data have been proposed. In this paper, a graph-based approach for automatic indexing of unstructured data from an Arabic corpus has been proposed. First, each document in the collection is represented by a graph. After the generation of document graph, term weighting is computed to estimate the relevance of a term to the document. The graph representation offers the advantage that it allows for a much more expressive document modeling than the standard bag of words approach, and consequently, it improves classification performance. Experimental results show that the graph based indexing method is a promising approach for semantic and contextual indexation, and outperforms statistical based method (TFIDF) by 12% in F-measure.

This paper gives a proper characterization of n-channel UTBOX nMOSFETs in linear operation in term of static performances and low frequency noise behavior. At first, the main electrical parameters are extracted, in particular, the threshold voltage, the mobility and the access resistances. Then, the approach of low frequency noise study is presented as a non-destructive diagnostic tool to identify traps in the Si film. These investigations allow to evaluate the device performances, and to assess the quality of the device processing steps.

In this paper we present a novel approach for 3D facial expression recognition based on a registration method. The used registration method, called the Coherent Point Drift (CPD), is applied to estimate complex non-linear and nonrigid transformation between 3D facial surfaces. The computed transformation allows to recover shape deformations that are induced by facial expression variations. Machine learning is applied using Dimensionality reduction methods in order to promote the computational efficiency and Support Vector Machine (SVM) for classification. The obtained experimental results show that our method achieves promising recognition rates on Bhosphorus database.

This paper presents the dynamic modeling of a linear switched reluctance motor. This modeling is based on the exploitation of the magneto-static finite elements model built for the studied motor. The static characteristics of flux and forces, determined by the two dimensional finite element simulations are grouped into response surfaces. These surfaces are used, under low operating speed conditions, for the nonlinear dynamic model elaboration and motor dynamic performance determination.

Electromagnetic interference such as crosstalk are big problem for the control of components in power electronics. In this work, a new approach for reducing parasites coupling between coupled transmission lines employed in power electronics is presented. We proposed a new method for crosstalk reduction in PCB cards. This method is to add a tee guard line (TGL), between the coupled microstrip lines. This method has reduced much crosstalk. The NEXT is reduced about 78% and the FEXT about 82%. Also the crosstalk peak is reduced by about 82%. In this context, simulations are developed under the electromagnetic simulator. Followed by measurements made by a vector network analyzer (VNA), on various PCB cards.

This communication allows the implementation of an internet of things solution for smart home. It uses the ZigBee network for communication within the home between the gateway and the different intelligent nodes. A PHP application has been developed enabling the user to control remotely his equipment locally or from the Internet. The house implemented is also characterized by a high degree of intelligence. It allows to control automatically the lighting, the temperature and to ensure the security by informing people during fires and suspicious intrusions. Finally, the house is connected to the platform cloud to record daily actions made by the user. Thus, it can anticipate the needs of residents and execute itself their actions. The user can also view real-time status of all equipment in the house.

In this paper we present a comparative analysis of different time-frequency (T-F) masking techniques used for single channel speech separation (SCSS). We survey T-F masking concept and compare different types of masks in different criteria. The comparison is conduct theoretically by mathematical study and numerically by objective and subjective assessment. Also, we study the effect of the masking techniques on the perceptual quality of speech and their ability to separate a target speech from monaural mixing.

The goal of this paper is to compare the performance of two time-frequency decomposition in a context of speech coding. These decompositions are based on wavelet and wavelet frame theory. The main advantages of wavelet frame compared to wavelet are perfect reconstruction, resilience to quantization noise, nearly shift-invariant, symmetry and good time-frequency localization. The evaluation tests reveal that the quality of coded speech using the tight framelets packet transform outperform that of the wavelets packet transform.

The success of hybrid electrical storage systems which combines batteries and supercapacitors is related to the manner how these devices are managed. In this paper, optimal use of the complementarity between batteries and supercapacitors in electric vehicles is studied. First, storage devices are sized based on reduced size specifications of the electric vehicle. Then, power waveforms for each storage device obtained by simulation using the frequency sharing strategy are presented. Different values of filter constant are therefore analyzed to show the variation effect of power sharing strategy on battery current waveforms. The optimal filter constant is finally determined. It offers reduced values of RMS battery current and enhancement of battery service life.
