At least 50% of Habanero crop losses are caused by pests, diseases and climatological changes. The crop requires development and implementation of a tool called Remote Predictive Monitoring System for pest on Habanero crops, this consists of installing a structure that is able to integrate sensors that measure temperature, rain, humidity,etc. The system is powered by solar energy at experimental crop centres. The data is sent by radio frequency and GSM to the monitoring centre, where a predictive software generates a percentage of common pest attacks that affect the plants included in the crop field sensed. Finally the system provides specific recommendations for biological and chemical control. With the validation of the experiment by two Farm Research Centres and a Farmers Association, the system was installed on three experimental crop fields, reducing crop losses from 40% to 68%. With an investment of 1.4% (equivalent to the money lost per crop), implementing the system and following the recommendations it was achieved that there would be extra profits between $136,000 and $165,000 per crop cycle of 4 hectares. This project is being considered for patent registry as a prototype to replicate for other crops.

Companies dedicated to project development commonly seek to increase their recruitment based on experience and usually leave aside the importance that entails the strengthening of technology transfer. Added to this and having as an extra need the definition of strategies to optimize the progress of the projects, was created a Management System that helped to obtain better control in development and define criteria for timely monitoring. The theoretical framework was established taking the bases of Planning and Project Management that allowed to basing this system. The approach used to structure it allows optimizing development times and assigning more comprehensive evaluation period for the technological transfer of the final product. Standardization was achieved in the design, development and manufacturing of projects, which resulted in be able to carry out activities at the same time in different projects without any offset or dependency problems between those activities and therefore, the strategic influence for the development of each project was reflected in all phases of the process. Finally, a case study is presented, in which the management system was implemented.

The attention to the environment is of global urgency and is a commitment of all sectors. The objective of this research is to identify the performance of the business sector regarding the care of the environment. Posing the following research question, what are the social actions carried out by companies with respect to their environment? A non-experimental study was carried out, corresponding to 88 MiPyMes of Cd. Obregón, Sonora. Applying questionnaire consisting of 18 questions, some of them with multiple choice, measured on a Likert scale from 1 to 5, divided into three Sections: I. Data of the person in charge of the business, II. General aspects of the company and, III. Environmental actions in the company. The results obtained show that although certain activities are already being carried out, there is still a lot of work to be done, in actions such as: use of ecological and / or recyclable packaging; adoption of measures regarding the design of ecological products and / or services; Consideration of programs for the use of alternative energies, and voluntary access to environmental regulations. The results obtained will allow designing programs, where entrepreneurs acquire knowledge, which will help them develop environmental strategies through social responsibility actions, generating added value to the same organization.

Soil erosion in rural agricultural communities in Mexico and low yields is the subject of the present work, places where production has stopped due to the low profitability and productivity generated by the loss of nutrients as a result of natural phenomena, as well as by the action of man. The objective is to identify the current condition of the soil and its impact on agricultural production, in order to suggest soil improvement and conservation techniques appropriate to regional characteristics, to raise the income level of producers in a rural community of Hidalgo, Mexico. The work is divided into three stages: the first consisted of identifying the predominant agricultural crops; the second, sampling to develop the soil analysis; the third, to evaluate economically the income that currently generates the agricultural activities that are practiced in the community and later to evaluate the changes that could be generated when applying measures of soil conservation; as well as the application of the methodology to identify the profitability and the products.

Digital tools (DT) today have become indispensable in the business world, the growth of the country has a direct reference to the creation and strengthening of the MPyMES, with the services sector having a strong presence in local markets and restaurants Being a company of reliable utilities usually consolidate as a formal business, when identifying these aspects, it was decided to carry out this research with the objective in the first instance of obtaining data on the diagnosis in the use of DT, for which a methodological aspect is highlighted from the conceptual and theoretical part allowing to carry out the conceptualization, under a deductive process, carrying out the process of conceptualization to operationalization following the phases of theoretical representation of the concept, specification of the concept for the identification of the dimensions and of each dimension its indicators, resulting in an instrument was done with validity and reliability that was applied to a sample so that, based on the diagnosis and as a second instance, the proposal of the use of DT would be made to improve the marketing aspects in benefit of the consolidation of this type of companies.

The environmental management of water is part of the objectives of sustainable development and its importance lies in being an essential element for life. Being the Institutions of Higher Education (HEIs) a work with a relevant role and its work impacts in two aspects: in the operative action and in the way of acting of the individuals that make it up. The objective of this article is to analyze the strategies that the HEIs mobilize to consolidate as a sustainable campus and that may be applicable to other institutions, taking the taking the University Center of the Valleys of the University of Guadalajara as a case study. The methodology was based on an international framework that takes into account several axes where HEIs intervene, for this the "Survey for the Diagnosis of the Institutionalization of the Environmental Commitment of Colombian Universities" was used, the information was supplemented and validated through consultation of institutional websites, platforms, reports, gazettes and interviews (Münch and Ángeles, 2015). The research aims to generate strategies for the proper use and management of water resources in HEIs impacting their substantive axes, to ensure responsible consumption and promote environmental culture in the university community.

Today, international attention is focused on sustainability and respect for the environment; there is an irretrievable wear and tear on nature, reflecting the excessive and inappropriate use of natural resources. Mexico committed itself in 2015 to the UN to take action to meet the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development goals. It seeks to determine the importance of environmental accounting in Mexico for the fulfillment of some of these objectives and what its current situation is. A bibliographic search was done on information from recognized data sources; rigorously, selecting the most relevant research in the accounting field, as well as a revision of the Financial Reporting Standards and ISOS that regulate the ecological issue. Concluding that environmental accounting plays an important role in two of the objectives of the 2030 agenda; ecological accounts and sustainable work is a little-seen issue in Mexico that is evolving, so it is important to encourage a citizen's awareness of the measures necessary to prevent and compensate for the damage, it is not an obligation that only falls on the government is a matter for all Mexicans.

Sustainability in different places with touristic potential must be an essential and required characteristic for them. The main objective in this document was to design analysis and evaluation sustainable tourism strategies, considering the perspective from different interested groups in the “Fireflies’ sanctuary” in Nanacamilpa de Mariano Arista, Tlaxcala, Mexico to have viable strategies to avoid flora and fauna erosion and degradation, without affecting economic and social growth in the population. In order to develop the present investigation, the multi-stakeholder thinking was used, identifying the main interest groups affected by sustainable tourism: the public and private sector and the civil society. A 4 areas assessment was obtained in order to value all the actors and to evaluate the sanctuary sustainability.

The University Center of Biological and Agricultural Sciences (CUCBA) of the University of Guadalajara receives approximately 5700 students, and 1500 of the academic, administrative and visiting staff. The CUCBA is research oriented, therefore, large amount of chemical waste and microbial load is generated by health services. There are two sources of water supply that provide quality drinking water to the student population and two water treatment plants that process the wastewater produced. The objective of this study was to evaluate the physical chemical and bacteriological quality of the water from the sources of supply, storage tanks, distribution network and principals points of use as an area of food and drinkers, as well as the wastewater emitted in triplicate. The water quality index was calculated, and regular values of the water quality of the 10 sampled points were found, and it is noted that, the sampling points with the lowest quality index were the water that leaves the plants of Water treatment, therefore, is not being accomplished with proper water purification.

Cognitive radio technology was developed for spectral efficiency improvement in mobile communication networks. This is achieved by allowing secondary users to opportunistically and transparently use the white spaces of the primary network. In this paper, the effect of the service time distribution of the primary users in the statistics of the white spaces is analyzed. In particular, the first two standardized moments of both, white space time and white space interarrival time are found, considering the following distributions for the primary service time: log-normal, Weibull, and Pareto. One of the most relevant results is that, for low (moderate or high) traffic load, the exponential (hiper-exponential) distribution is an excellent option for modelling the white space duration. Characterizing these variables allow us to use the on-off paradigm to capture the primary channel activity and, in this way, evaluate the performance of cognitive radio networks. Results were obtained by using discrete event simulation techniques.
