Automated Testing Of Solid-State Watthour Meters In The Presence Of Harmonic Distortion 谐波失真情况下固态电能表的自动测试

Harmonic distortion of load voltages and currents have the potential to create registration errors in revenue metering equipment. Electric utilities have developed standardized testing practices for evaluating the performsnce of revenue meters at the fundamental frequency. However there is no standudized procedlue for testing the accuracy of such metcrs in the presence of harmonic distortion. This paper describes the development of a measurement facility for evaluating solid-state watthour meters under a variety of operating conditions. The p'upose of this facility is to evaluate various lab standards for characterizing the performance of revenue meters.

An engineer typically uses many tools in the course of performing a harmonic study of a power system. These tools consist primarily of computer programs available commercially or custom designed. The programs often have M e r e n t user interfaces, operate on different types of computers, under different operating systems, and utilize incompatible input and output data formats. The engineer must not only deal with the engineering problem at hand, but also a systems integration and data conversion task that may be just as time consuming as the engineering task.

Modelling A Single Phase, Voltage Controlled Rectifier Using Laplace Transforms

The development of a 20 kHz, AC power system by NASA for large space projects has spurred a need to develop models for the equipment which will be used on these single phase systems. To date, models for the AC source (i,e., inverters) have been developed. It is the intent of this paper to develop a method to model the single phase voltage controlled rectifiers which will be attached to the AC power grid as an interface for connected loads. A modified version of EPRl's HARMFLO program is used as the shell for these models. The results obtained from the model developed in this paper are quite adequate for the analysis of problems such as voltage resonance. The unique technique presented in this paper uses the Laplace transforms to determine the harmonic content of the load current of the rectifier rather than a curve fitting technique

The Calculation And Measurement Of Harmonic Distortion On Offshore Platforms 海洋平台谐波畸变的计算与测量

This paper describes a series of harmonic calculations to predict the voltage distortion on an offshore oil production platform following the installation of variable frequency drives. A series of field tests is also described which provided measured values to compare with those calculated. I t is concluded that the calculation technique is accurate providing adequate information i s available to describe the converlor loading and the operating pattern. Both calculated and measured rcsults demonstrate the advantageous feature that harmonic voltage distortion does not increase linearly with converlor loading.
