Introduction: the article is concerned with the study of psychological analysis in G. Pinyasov’s novellas, one of the wellknown representatives of modern Mordovian prose. Due to the fact that psychologism is a pronounced stylistic dominant of the author’s work, the main forms and techniques of artistic comprehension of the processes of internal intentions of the characters became the subject of analysis. The work fits into the complex of studies of Finno-Ugric literary studies concerning the principles and means of artistic expression of the writer. Objective: to present an analysis of artistic forms and techniques of psychologism in G. Pinyasov’s novellas. Research materials: the novellas by G. Pinyasov’s. Results and novelty of the research: the main results of the research are related to the scientific reflection of the author’s forms and techniques of psychologism in the prose experiments of G. Pinyasov, the study of the totality, significance and functionality of methods and means of comprehension, full and deep disclosure of the inner world of artistic images. The analyzed novellas indicate the writer’s attraction to the disclosure of various psychological states of a person, in connection with which the emotional manifestations, individual intentions of the characters completely absorb the author’s attention. In order to create the most complete artistic image, interpretation of feelings, thoughts, motives of behavior, desires, representations of the character, the author combines and complements external (visual portraits, direct author’s reflections, personal actions, actions, images-symbols, dialogues, speech of the hero, etc.) and internal (monologues, introspection of the hero, flashbacks, confessions, emotional reactions, presentation of thoughts, etc.) characteristics. The scientific novelty is due to the identification of the peculiarities of interpretation and artistic load of forms and techniques of psychologism in the text space of G. Pinyasov’s novellas. Due to the fact that the critical material about the author’s work is only a partial description of the forms and means of comprehending the characters of people, their inner world, it becomes necessary to actualize and systematically analyze psychologism in the author’s epic experiments.

ABSTRACT Introduction: in Russian and foreign ethnology of recent decades, there has been an increased interest in the study of culturally organized mobile practices of peoples, both nomads of the North and those leading a sedentary lifestyle, in the past and in modern life. Without them, knowledge about the cultural heritage of the people will be incomplete. In addition, history makes adjustments to the types of movements that inevitably affect the life of different social groups (including peoples). The above arguments show that mobile practices among different peoples need special research, in particular among the Karelians and their ethnic groups. The traditional culture of movement of which has many gaps in study and has never been studied comprehensively and in dynamics. Objective: identification of some types of traditional mobile practices of the Ludian Karelians and their dynamics based on the analysis of several in-depth biographical interviews on this topic, recorded from women born in the 1930s. Research materials: field audio materials of the authors. Results and novelty of the research: for the first time some types of traditional mobile practices of the Ludian Karelians for long and short distances, associated with economic and leisure activities, travel beliefs and rituals have been identified. It is concluded that during the twentieth century they underwent significant changes associated with collectivization, the fight against religion, the Great Patriotic War, the development of industrial production and urbanization

Introduction: problem of local variation of cultures is an important part of significant for folklore and ethnographic studies. In this context, the study of confessional cultures and their variants, including old believer communities existing in different regions of the Russian Federation, is being conducted. Since the late 1980s, studies have been carried out on the role of the old belief in the ethno-cultural self-determination of local groups of Finno-Ugric peoples. The article is devoted to the history of the teaching of true orthodox christians wandering (wanderers, runners) in the areas of residence of Komi-Zyryans (on the Upper and Middle Pechora and Udora). Objective: to determine the factors that contributed the spread of the wanderers’ doctrine among the Pechora and Udora Komi-Zyryans, as well as its fate in the XX century; to characterize the features of the existing religious practices of the Udora and Pechora wanderers. Research materials: archival and published documents of ecclesiastical departments; reports of the Soviet period prepared by representatives of local party and law enforcement agencies; scientific reports of ethnographic expeditions of the 1960s. The author’s field materials were used. Results and novelty of the research: in the article for the first time the author compares local variants of Pechora and Udora tradition of the Komi old believers-wanderers. An analysis of various sources allows us to draw conclusions about the defining significance of the cultural environment, as well as social changes of the beginning of the XX century in the spread of the wanderers’ teaching among the Komi-Zyryans of Udora and Pechora. The accession of the part of Pechora Pomor communities leaders to wanderers contributed to the widespread dissemination of their doctrine on the Middle and Upper Pechora, while the old believers’ mentors of Udora opposed the wanderers, and their ideals were established only in the circle of a number of families. The difference in the number of followers, as well as the peculiarities of local religious practices, largely determined the fate of the Udora and Pechora pilgrim communities in the XX century.

Introduction: the work is written in the discourse of economic anthropology. The relevance of the institute of gift-giving among the Ob-Ugric peoples is determined by the interest in the study of their traditional culture, as well as the desire to determine its role and functions in the modern global world. Objective: to consider and analyze different types of gift exchange and related communications among the Ob-Ugric people in the past and in modern practices. Research materials: the author’s field materials collected among different groups of Ob-Ugric people; works of authors of the second half of the XIX – beginning of the XX centuries, containing descriptions of trade deals with the participation of the indigenous population of the Ob North. Results and novelty of the research: on the materials about the Ob Ugrians the kinship and friendship gifts connected with the custom of guesting, exchange of gifts in the rites of transition, gift exchange with spirits, gift exchange with the authorities during the period of integration into the system of Russian statehood and elements of gift exchange relations in trade are studied. The essence of the institution of gift-exchange is revealed through the theoretical developments of the classics of economic anthropology, first of all, M. Moss. Gift-giving in Khanty and Mansi culture has both real and symbolic value. The first one is equivalent to the value of things or services, and the second is determined by the fact that gifts are perceived as a pledge of success and prosperity in the future. The gift was a peculiar mechanism of maintaining ties both between different collectives within the community and with the outside world, including otherworldly forces.

Introduction: in the article the author for the first time considers the semantics and syntactic compatibility of Khanty and Mansi verbs of different lexical-semantic groups: state, action, movement, displacement, perceptions, etc., with the preverbs χŏλt / χɔλt / χɔś / χɔt. The most complete list of verbs combined with this preverb in different dialects of the Khanty and Mansi languages is revealed. The article describes the change of the verb valence system when combined with this preverb, as well as the modification of the verb semantics while maintaining the valence system. Differences in the semantics of synonymous preverbs χŏλt and nukh in expression of aspectual values, as well as χŏλt and jira in expression of spatial values. Objective: to identify the circle of verbs that are combined with the preverb χŏλt / χɔλt / χɔś / χɔt; to describe the transition of verbs from one lexical-semantic group to another when combined with this preverb; to compare the system of valences and syntactic compatibility of verbs with this preverb in the Khanty and Mansi languages. Research materials: verbs with preverbal units χŏλt / χɔλt / χɔś / χɔt of the Kazym, Shuryshkar, Ural dialects of the Khanty and Mansi languages, collected by the author from informants and extracted from dictionaries of the Khanty and Mansi languages. Results and novelty of the research: for the first time the most complete list of verbs from different lexico-semantic groups combined with the preverbs χŏλt / χɔλt / χɔś / χɔt, which are mainly attached to the verbs of action, movement, displacement, etc., is revealed. As a result of the addition of the preverb, the number of valences of derived verbs can either be preserved or reduced. Verbs of the lexico-semantic group of movement and displacement lose their locative valence; the valence of action verbs may remain or decrease. The composition of the semantic group of verbs changes due to the syntactic compatibility of the verb with different types of subjects and objects (animate, inanimate). The results of the study can be used for compiling dictionaries, comparing unrelated and different-structured languages, as well as for writing a scientific grammar of the Khanty language.
