Introduction: in modern Permian languages most of the spatial cases are the legacy of the Proto-Permian language. In the course of the historical evolution of languages, the morphological and functional-semantic characteristics of common Permian cases have changed, so it is important to identify similarities and differences in their use. Objective: to identify differences in the use of the egressive in the Komi-Zyryan, Komi-Permian and Udmurt languages. Research materials: the empirical base of the study was made up of original texts in the Komi-Zyryan, Komi-Permian and Udmurt languages from printed sources and electronic corpora. Results and novelty of the research: for the first time, a comparative study of the semantic structure of the egressive of the Permian languages is undertaken. It is revealed that in each of the Permian languages, the egressive has specific functional and semantic features. In the Komi languages, the egressive has meanings, which in the Udmurt language are expressed by the ablative. The meanings that are inherent for the egressive only in the Komi-Permian language, in the Komi-Zyryan language are included in the semantic zone of the elative, in the Udmurt language – in the semantic zone of the ablative. In the Udmurt language, the egressive can express meanings that in the Komi languages are expressed by the inessive or the postposition vylyn ‘on’. Based on the analysis of the semantics of the case, it is concluded that there are different sources of the formation of egressive suffixes in the Komi and Udmurt languages. New data are introduced into scientific circulation, which can be used in comparative-historical and typological studies of cases

Introduction: the article is devoted to the lexical and grammatical features of the verbal vocabulary functioning in the songs of Bears Games, based on the material of the book «The Songs of the Kazym River in The Collection of the Okrug House of Folk Art». The book presents field material recorded by employees of the Okrug House of Folk Art in 1988–1992s in the Yuilsk settlement of Beloyarsky District and in the Kyshik settlement of Khanty-Mansiysky District. In the course of the study, the archaic vocabulary, existing in this sphere, and word-formation means, attached to the root of the verb and modifying its meaning, are revealed. Objective: to identify the archaic verbal vocabulary presented in the texts of Bear’s songs; to give the most complete lexicographic description; to consider the word-formation system of verbal units. Research materials: the collection «Songs of the Kazym River in The Collection of the Okrug House of Folk Art» (2019), bilingual dictionaries on the Khanty language. Results and novelty of the research: in the paper, for the first time the verbal vocabulary of the texts of Bear’s songs is analyzed; archaic lexemes that are not represented in modern dictionaries of the Kazym dialect, but find separate parallels in the eastern and southern dialects, are identified; 18 verbal word-formation morphemes are identified, among them suffixes that are not represented in modern grammars. The most commonly used suffixes are the multiplicity and duration suffixes =iλә=, =ijәλ=/=ĭjәλ=, =әt’λ’ә= / =λ’ә=.

Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the concepts of voice’s issues in Udmurt linguistics. The author traces the history and development of the voice forms of verbal units. Objective: to systematize and summarize the historical process of formation and universalization of scientific research in the field of study of the category of the voice of the Udmurt language. Research materials: the empirical basis of the study was the variety of approaches to the study of the voice category in the scientific research of linguists of different eras. Results and novelty of the research: based on the peculiarities of the development of methodological principles and attitudes in the study of the voice forms of the Udmurt verb, it is proposed to distinguish three stages of the study: a) the first stage (from the second half of the XVIII century to 1851) is characterized by the definition of terminology for the voice forms and their grammatical expression. The second stage (from 1851 to 1957) is characterized by a closer attention to the semantic aspect of language phenomena and to the development of terminology in the Udmurt language. A deep scientific understanding of the voice forms of the Udmurt verb began at the third stage (from 1957 to the present). During this period the structural-semantic principle dominates in the study of the considered grammatical category, providing for equal attention to the structure and semantics of a verbal unit. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the first experience of description of history and current state of the study of the question of voice in Udmurt linguistics, which opens up new prospects for the study of subject-object relations in the speech activity of a native speaker

Introduction: the paper is a fragment of the description of the phonetic features of the language of the Kirov Permians, one of the idioms of the Komi-Permian language, which native speakers live in the Afanasyevsky District of Kirov Oblast. Affricates are the subject of study. The paper examines the peculiarities of their functioning: the distribution of affricates in the phonetic structure of the word is described, and the process of transition of the consonants ǯ', ǯ, č to fricative ones is considered. Objective: to describe the positional-combinatorial conditions of the use of affricates, to trace the phonetic changes that affricates are subject to in the language of the Kirov Permians. Research materials: field materials of dialectological expeditions to the area of residence of the Kirov Permians in the period from 2002 to 2012. Results and novelty of the research: the paper analyzes affricates from the point of view of their functioning in the language of the Kirov Permians. New dialect data are introduced into scientific circulation, which can become an additional source for the comparative-historical study of the affricate system in the Permian languages. As a result of the study, it was revealed that in the studied idiom, the affricates ǯ', ǯ, č tended to gradually restrict distribution, reduce the frequency of use: in some positions, they were replaced by the corresponding fricative consonants z', ž, š. In the dialect, there is an inconsistency in the use of affricates, which reflects the peculiarities of the informants’ idiolect, as well as the incompleteness of the process of changing the considered consonants in the studied idiom

Introduction: genre transformation in the Udmurt journalism of the end of the XX century is most clearly manifested in the biographical essays, based on real-life facts from the lives of famous representatives of the intelligentsia, natives of Udmurtia. The biographical essay in the Udmurt literature of this period demonstrates the presence of the elements of memoir, biography, elements of portrayal, problematic, biographical, social, historical essays as well as document / fact and fiction within the same work; the mental, intellectual principle is strengthened in it. The relevance of the article is due to the . fact that for the first time an attempt was made to consider the problems and poetics of the biographical essay in the work of Udmurt writers. Objective: to study the features of the biographical essay in the Udmurt social and political journalism at the end of the XX century; to describe the content and the formal components of the biographical essay, based on particular texts by Udmurt authors. Research materials: biographical essays of the Udmurt publicists M. A. Lyamin and S. A. Samsonov. Results and novelty of the research: the article is one of the first attempts of comprehensive analysis of the genre of the Udmurt biographical essay. The peculiarities of the modern Udmurt biographical essay are largely due to the desire of writers to convey the complex of the personality traits of their famous fellow countrymen – public figures, scientists, politicians, culture professionals. A biographical essay which combines «portrait-biography» and «portrait-characterization» as well as the parameters of a documentary story, a literary portrait and a historical biography testifies to the expansion of the aesthetic boundaries of Udmurt prose.
A. Lyamin和S.
