A study about integrating video contents with web services based on the RDF 基于RDF的视频内容与web服务集成研究

The purpose of this study is to examine how to combine broadcasting video clips with other contents offered by a third party. This paper focused on the field of education, particularly the study of 'animals', and verified methods of collaboration between videos and other contents such as Wikipedia. When it comes to considering collaboration, it is well-known that metadata are absolutely necessary, and this paper constructed a resource description framework (RDF) store to describe video clips from various viewpoints which cover themes to explain animals, motions about animals, translation from Japanese animal's name to other languages and so on. In order to construct RDF stores and integrate videos with other web services effectively, some natural language processing and dictionary were used and the ontology was generated. By using RDF store, we developed demonstration applications that combine videos with other services.

A road condition monitoring system using various sensor data in vehicle-to-vehicle communication environment 一种在车对车通信环境中使用各种传感器数据的路况监测系统

In order to keep the resident's and driver's safety from natural disasters as well as traffic hazards such as heavy rainfall, snowfall and white-out, it is very important to monitor, understand and share quick road condition in the wide area in real-time. However, especially after a disaster has occurred, due to damage of communication infrastructure and network traffic congestion, the areas where the information with the road conditions are quite limited only by mass media. In this study, we develop a road condition monitoring system using multiple sensor data considering various communication environments. Using this system, monitoring, understanding, recording and sharing a wide range of road conditions can be realised multiple sensor data and exchanging those through vehicle-to-vehicle communication method between each vehicle and providing as a web application. The configuration and architecture of our proposed system are precisely explained. In order to verify the effects and usefulness of the proposed system, an experimental prototype is built and evaluated the function and performance. Through experimental evaluation, the superiority and problems to be improved are discussed.

Delay tolerant networks-based vehicle-to-vehicle wireless networks for road surveillance systems in local areas 基于延迟容忍网络的车对车无线网络,用于局部区域的道路监控系统

The road conditions during the winter are one of the significant concerns for the car driving. Especially, in the local areas such as the mountain areas or the ski runs, the roads would be more slippery. However, it is difficult with measuring the whole road conditions by the fixed sensor points. Therefore, this paper proposes the IEEE802.11p based delay tolerant networks (DTN) for the safety surveillance system. In the proposed system, the sensor of quasi-electrostatic field (QEF) on the wheels measures the road conditions, and the observed data is transmitted to another automobile. Moreover, when the road is recognised as the frozen road, and the data is priority sent to the others by the proposed data triage method. The simulations are held by the GIS map of the northern Japanese cities, and the results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed system.

The digital contents management system based on position information initiate fusion of AR and sensor technology 基于位置信息的数字内容管理系统开启了增强现实技术与传感器技术的融合

In this article, we propose and evaluate the digital contents management system according to the user's position and needs. This digital contents management system consisting of the web application for information providers and smartphone application for information receivers. The web application corresponds to multi-platform and it is possible to upload various digital contents to the server. At this time, the information provider adds position information to the digital contents. The information receiver can view the uploaded digital contents as AR on the smartphone. The smartphone application for contents receiver displays registered digital contents in AR around the user's present position. In our research, we evaluated targeted for the visitors in a zoo to evaluate the usefulness and the operability of the web application and the smartphone application. As an evaluation, we were able to confirm the great usefulness and operability of the web application and the smartphone application.

Monitoring and auditing mobile operating systems 监控和审计移动操作系统

The popularity and usage of mobile devices have increased and therefore performance demands changed. An important aspect is represented by the whole system stability which has a big impact on general user experience. This paper proposes a solution for improving the implementation process and stability of operating systems for mobile devices. It presents penetration testing techniques, in order to discover security vulnerabilities. The focus will be on the process of finding the bugs, the exploration part, and the exploitation will only be mentioned to highlight the importance of the vulnerabilities. The second part of the paper consists of a system service which collects the error messages and sends them to a server in order to perform a triage. Received data is saved, processed and then useful information is exposed to developers.

Evaluations of commodity WiFi-based multihop access network for disaster recovery 基于商用wifi的多跳接入网容灾评估

Quick recovery of internet connectivity in the damaged areas right after a disaster occurs is crucial to mitigate loss and save people. However, it is hard to recover agilely communication infrastructures because of their drastic destruction and reachability limitation to the damaged areas. Wireless multihop access network has the potential to disaster recovery as it can agilely provide the internet connectivity to the victims using their mobile devices. We propose a WiFi-based multihop access network approach in which the networks are established by commodity mobile devices leveraging their built-in WiFi network interface card (NIC). A connected mobile device can share its internet connectivity to the nearby nodes and so forth. As a result, internet connectivity is brought to further victims quickly, bridging them with the outside world. However, the true potential of this solution in real environments has not been well evaluated. This paper provides a comprehensive field experiment using our proof-of-concept prototype. The results reveal the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed network as it can easily extend to 20 hops covering a large enough area for typical disaster, around one kilometre in diameter of damage area.

A read-write abortion protocol to prevent illegal information flow in role-based access control systems 在基于角色的访问控制系统中防止非法信息流的读写终止协议

In information systems, a transaction may illegally read data stored in an object which the transaction is not allowed to read is stored in the object. A transaction illegally writes data to an object after issuing illegal read. A transaction suspiciously reads data in a suspicious object whose data is not allowed to flow to some object. A transaction impossibly writes data to an object after issuing suspicious read. In our previous studies, the write-abortion (WA) role-based synchronisation (RBS) and object-based synchronisation (OBS) protocols are proposed where a transaction illegally or impossibly writes data to objects is aborted. In this paper, we newly propose a pair of read-write-abortion (RWA) RBS and OBS protocols where a transaction is aborted only if the transaction issues an illegal read or impossible write to an object. In the evaluation, the execution time of each transaction in RWA protocols is shorter than the WA protocols.

Evaluating wearing mobility of wearable robot mechanisms based on measurement 基于测量的可穿戴机器人机构穿戴机动性评价

Improving wearing mobility is an important issue for wearable robot mechanisms to provide a person wearing the mechanism with improved efficiency of a task and comfortable wearing feel. For evaluating the wearing mobility, relative motion between the mechanism and a human limb wearing the mechanism is considered to be a major factor, because the mechanism is usually fixed tightly to the limb for the purpose of motion support. This paper assumes motion support of a human elbow, and considers evaluation of wearing mobility of a human arm based on measurement data obtained by a sensor device. Evaluation under definitions of some indexes is discussed in this paper. In addition, two mechanical designs, one of which is considered to be typical in wearable elbow mechanisms, are evaluated and compared from the viewpoint of wearing mobility. The comparison suggests that a mechanical design with parallel linkages has potential of improving wearing mobility.

An improved group discussion system for active learning using smartphone and its experimental evaluation 一种改进的智能手机主动学习小组讨论系统及其实验评价

In general at universities, the professors cannot provide all needed information to satisfy the students because they have different knowledge and interests. Therefore, the students should study the learning materials by themselves. Our previous work suggested an interactive learning process in order to improve the students learning motivation and the self-learning time. To improve the progress speed of a lecture and the efficiency of the self-learning, we proposed an active learning system (ALS) using mobile devices. Moreover, we performed experimental evaluation of our ALS and showed that the proposed ALS can improve student self-learning and concentration. However, the proposed ALS could not increase the examination pass rate of the students even if the self-learning time was increased. To solve this problem, we propose to improve the group discussion system of ALS. In this paper, we performed experimental evaluation of the improved group discussion system of ALS. The evaluation results show that the improved group discussion system of ALS can increase the examination pass rate.

Development of a mobile virtual traditional crafting presentation system using augmented reality technology 利用增强现实技术开发移动虚拟传统工艺展示系统

In this article, we propose and evaluate a mobile virtual traditional crafting presentation system consisting of the Content Browsing Mobile Application and the content management web application. The former provides various information of traditional craft and a high immersion feeling by an AR content. The latter manages the traditional craft information and the traditional technique information treated by the Content Browsing Mobile Application. In this research, we evaluated the necessity, the effectiveness, the operability, the functionality, and the readability of the mobile virtual traditional crafting presentation system. As questionnaire survey result, we were able to confirm the evaluation in all the items.
