This article discusses the advantages of modern computer technologies, as well as their use in assessing the applicability of Okun's law to describe short-term and long-term relationships between macroeconomic indicators. The article presents a computer implementation of research on the relationship between employment, unemployment, and production. We provide a comprehensive overview of the main theoretical approaches to the study of this interdependence and analyze the practical experience of assessing it. With the help of the SPSS software package, based on the generalization of the results of theoretical analysis, a conclusion is made about the most adequate models in modern socio-economic conditions. Furthermore, we test these models based on official statistics. One consequence of Okun's law is that a rise in labor productivity and an increase in the labor force can cause in production growth without reducing employment. Our findings obtained in the course of an in-depth analysis using the statistical data of Azerbaijan and due to the results of using the software product fully confirm this statement.

In the article, we investigate how a person visually perceives and distinguishes words in oral speech with similar articulation patterns (homovisemes) from the speaker's lips. These words are defined by the term "homovisemes" introduced by the authors. To carry out our research, we have developed a corpus of homovisemes based on prepared material. This material is grouped into separate chains according to the principle of identical articulatory shells of words, with the exception of pseudowords. If such words are interchangeable, a person visually perceives them differently. The purpose of this research is to analyze if it is possible and expedient to use the homovisemes corpus to solve certain difficulties in how we learn to read from lips. In the article, we consider the main advantages of the corpus approach to this study. We present examples of possible variants of recognized words with similar visemes based on the content of the developed corpus. Our results allow us to conclude on how relevant the chosen topic is. The results will help us to predict uncertainty when choosing the right value. Work in this area will provide new results, create useful applications, and help people with hearing disabilities – an important social task.

Emergency and communication are critical issues requiring first responders to arrive in the incident area in the shortest amount of time as possible. In times of crisis, our residents expect that they will be able to seek assistance from those in authority; Philippine National Police (PNP), nearby hospitals, ambulances, and other nearest disaster responders around Brgy. 116, Tondo, Manila. The traditional method of requesting assistance is by dialing 911 on our phones. This process has several drawbacks, including the lack of a defined place to seek assistance. In this study, the researchers developed a mobile application to help the response team to manage an emergency in real-time and to guide the resident to act smart according to a life-or-death situation for different types of incidents such as car accidents, and street fights, or any kind of violence. The study was about a Genetic Algorithm or GA, a search-based optimization technique based on genetics and natural selection principles. This is a method of improved locating an incident over the internet, particularly when supplying specifics including the location of the emergency, images, and videos to verify the seriousness of the situation. The system is implemented in the android mobile application. Additionally, the researchers collected data to test the accuracy and efficacy of the application. The results showed that enhanced locating an incident is more reliable with the use of gathered information from the actual incident and more suitable for emergencies.

The article presents an approach to the analyzing processes in different domains using data from various Internet sources (open databases, news feeds, social networks, etc.). This one is suitable to carry out cross-disciplinary research encompassing processes in various fields (for example, economics, medicine, politics, ecology, etc.) in which events can have mutual affects. The concept of event series is given as the main one in this study. Event series are defined via analogy with time series as a collection of values of some parameters of the investigated processes, where the type of event is indicated instead of the measurement time. The event series analysis should take into account not only the relationship of measurements with time (or the events chronology), but also the causal relationships that can be identified at the study of processes. The event series formation is based on using multifaceted ontology describing different aspects of research such as data sources and structure of information extracted from them to solve user’s tasks, as well as domains and events, rules that characterize events, and the methods to solve tasks. The ontology is used when working with unstructured data to build an event log, which is formed in the first step when constructing event series. Next, the ontology is used to pre-process data before performing process mining tools applied to creating and analyzing models of processes. Using multifaceted ontology experts can define new rules for pre-processing data and generating event logs based on the concept of event-time series. These tools allow to generate more informative models.

The increasingly proliferation of interconnected and ubiquitous devices, sensors, and online platforms generates a multitude of data around the clock. These data may result in meaningful information since they are processed through adequate features extraction and selection methods, along with classifiers. This study aims to benchmark multiple classifiers, and to combine features from the ECG signal into the context of the sleep apnea diagnosis. The main findings may be summarised as follows: 1) the Radial-kernel-based Support Vector Machine performs the best, using normalised features, and 2) when a feature ranking technique is used then the Multi-layer Perceptron performs the best accuracy.

To facilitate research on pulmonary nodule medical records for physicians, this paper proposes an entity relation extraction model which bases on Global Pointer, using embedded pre-trained language model RoFormer as upstream encoder, Exponential Moving Average optimization method and Fast Gradient Method for adversarial training. The proposed model can also analyze the parent-child relations on contextual semantics, and then process them into structured data. The experimental results show that this model improves the extraction effect significantly compared with the traditional methods, and the F1 value can reach 86.2% in the Chinese pulmonary nodule medical records dataset.

Most companies relay on centralized servers, which are considered as a fast and easy to deploy solution for file sharing, but they have many downsides, like security and trust issues, which can be solved using DLT (blockchain) solutions. However, DLT-based solutions have many challenges, such as nodes orchestration, adjusting reliability and double-spending, as well as load balancing. This research proposes a DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) based model for files storage for companies using p2p networks, which takes into account both data reliability and storage space efficiency. More efficient data storage is achieved through the use of the Erasure coding technique. For load balancing, a set of algorithms that can be implemented in the form of a smart contract were proposed. The described model can become the basis of the IT infrastructure for trusted exchange of documents, technical and scientific information, games distributions, mobile applications, updates of scientific, regulatory and technical databases in b2b and b2c format

The use of ICT and advanced instructional strategies have gained much more interest, especially during the rise in the online class delivery in the COVID years. However, techniques such as the flipped classroom face several challenges in highly analytical courses in the engineering field. This work reports on the use of a cooperative learning strategy centered around the peer assessment in both the undergraduate and graduate level. The results show that given the proper trainings and guidelines, summative peer assessments are in line with the instructor assessments, and provide an opportunity to the students for engaging concepts proactively in the classroom.

Recently introduced 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) cameras have shown a huge potential for mobile robotic applications, proposing a smart and fast technology that outputs 3D point clouds, lacking however in measurement precision and robustness. With the development of this low-cost sensing hardware, 3D perception gathers more and more importance in robotics as well as in many other fields, and object registration continues to gain momentum. Registration is a transformation estimation problem between a source and a target point clouds, seeking to find the transformation that best aligns them. This work aims at building a full pipeline, from data acquisition to transformation identification, to robustly detect known objects observed by a ToF camera within a short range, estimating their 6 degrees of freedom position. We focus this work to demonstrating the capability of detecting a part of a satellite floating in space, to support in-orbit servicing missions (e.g. for space debris removal). Experiments reveal that deep learning techniques can obtain higher accuracy and robustness w.r.t. classical methods, handling significant amount of noise while still keeping real-time performance and low complexity of the models themselves.
