Foult Indicator for polymeric insulators on 72.5 KV structures 72.5 KV结构上聚合物绝缘子的故障指示器

The fault location in electric energy transmission structures using polymeric insulators is difficult to protect, since there are no visible signs of usage. This paper presents a real time failure detection system in polymeric insulators using an electronic system that measures the eletric current escape. The system stores leakage currents on the log file at regular time intervals and sends data to a server through a system of wireless sensor networks (WSN). A backup system is responsible for analyzing the values of each structure and generates alarms if certain current values are exceeded. The system was validated in the field on a power company distribution network.

The power generated by a solar photovoltaic panel is strongly dependent on climate conditions. For this reason, a grid-connected system needs a good response for variations in the solar irradiance and temperature. A non-linear control technique which has a good rejection of disturbances is the passivity-based control. This work presents the application of the passivity-based control in a maximum power tracker boost converter for a grid-connected photovoltaic system. The fast response of the control allows a better use of the photovoltaic array energy, increasing the efficiency of the system, and ensuring stability for all operation range.

A study of shunt active power filter based on modular multilevel converter (MMC) 基于模块化多电平变换器(MMC)的并联有源电力滤波器研究

This paper presents a study of a shunt active power filter based on the modular multilevel converter (MMC) topology. The current controller of the shunt active power filter uses a PI-MRI (PI with multi reference frame integrators) technique to assure that the APF current tracks the reference signal. It is also investigated the performance of the method of selection and classification used to choose and to control which submodule (SM) of the MMC will become active. Simulation results will be used to evaluate and to demonstrate the behavior of MMC as active power filter.

Comparing performance of classical methods for service restoration in MV networks with a new method based on sensitivity parameters 比较了经典中压网络业务恢复方法与基于灵敏度参数的新方法的性能

The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the validity of the use of sensibility parameters as a low computational cost tool to implement service restoration in medium voltage distribution networks. A linearization of the relationship between accumulated powers - active and reactive - in a node and the voltages of all nodes can be carried out by means of sensitivity parameters, in order to determine the influence in voltages, caused by variations in powers in the network nodes as intending supply restoration of loads. The validity of this analysis tool is made comparing it with the restoration/reconfiguration classical methods that uses either a constructive process or an opening process of mesh. It was observed that the service restoration by the use of sensitivity parameters normally presents a very small number of complete calculations of load flow when compared with the classical methods, in addition to a significant reduction in the switching operations, with obvious advantages in the time of restoration, and in the rates of network reliability.

Behavior of electric vehicles and traction drives during sensor faults 传感器故障时电动汽车和牵引传动的行为

The behavior of an electric vehicle and its electric traction drive under sensor faults is studied in this paper. With this aim, simulations over a vehicle model with rear traction, using an induction machine, were carried out. The drive model can switch between three different conventional control strategies. With this setup, the longitudinal dynamics behavior of the vehicle and the electrical variables of the drive against sensor faults and changes of the control strategy are analyzed. The obtained results are useful in the design of a sensor fault tolerant architecture.

A tool for real time analysis of parallelism of distribution networks 配电网并行度实时分析工具

The parallelism of distribution networks can be used to transfer loads between feeders without the need of disconnection of consumers during the switching. In the context of the Smart Grids, the parallelism of feeders can be used in automatic reconfiguration of networks for the improvement of power quality and voltage levels, and reduction of energy losses. However, the switching for parallelism must be preceded by studies to verify their technical and operational feasibility. This paper presents a study that discusses aspects of loading, protection, and voltage levels related to parallelism of networks, in transient and steady-state analysis. The validation of the developed methodology was carried out by comparison of simulation results with the ATP program. The study aims to be suitable for real-time application in reconfiguration of distribution networks. Integration with remote controlled switches, so that the network reconfiguration can be done automatically, is one of the differentials of the work. The tests here presented are made in a real model of a distribution network of a power utility. The developed algorithm has as main result a reliable indication of the technical feasibility of connecting feeders in parallel.

Passivity-based control of boost converters using PLL 基于锁相环的升压变换器无源控制

In the context that involves low and medium powers, boost-type converters have high performance and is therefore strongly recommended to work in regulated sources. However, without adequate control such converters eventually provide high levels of THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) and low power factor (pf). In this way, different authors validated the passivity-based control (PBC) applied to static converters. However, through these studies it was observed that the quality of results is associated with the input signal voltage. Thus, the insertion of the PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) is justified by the poor quality of networks in general. That is usually the power supply voltages are not purely sinusoidal and have very harmonic content. Thus, lower THD levels can be obtained by adding the PLL for imposing a sinusoidal reference signal to the input voltage.

Sensorless direct FOC with Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy controller for three-phase induction motor 无传感器直接FOC与Takagi-Sugeno模糊控制器三相感应电机

This paper proposes a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) Fuzzy controller to substitute the two PI current regulators present in conventional sensorless direct field oriented control (DFOC) scheme. The proposed controller calculates the reference quadrature components of the stator voltage vector in rotor-flux-oriented reference frame. The rule base for the proposed controller is defined in function of the stator current direct and quadrature component errors. Constant switching frequency and low torque ripple are obtained using space vector modulation technique. Performance of the proposed sensorless DFOC scheme with T-S fuzzy controller is analyzed in terms of rise time, settling time and torque ripple considering different operating conditions. The fast torque response and low torque ripple are obtained with the proposed scheme as is shown through numerical simulation results.

This paper describes the development of a prototype of an enclosure for a fuse cutout, for distribution networks of class 15 kV and 36.2 kV. The purpose of the enclosure is to protect the fuse cutout against third party intervention and ensure that only linemen will be able to perform maneuvers and maintenance. Besides protecting the fuse cutout, the enclosure should allow the proper operation of the device while still ensuring signaling the occurrence of events in the distribution network. The enclosure may be used in any fuse cutout, even in operation, with certain nominal characteristics and can still be installed with the line energized.

Single-stage PFC AC-DC converter based on serial-interleaved boost 基于串行交错升压的单级PFC交流-直流变换器

This paper presents single-stage power factor corrected (PFC) AC-DC converters based on a modified serial-interleaved boost converter. The topologies are a composition of a modified interleaved boost converter with a DC-DC converter. The interleaving allows each boost converter to operate in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) while still having continuous conduction mode (CCM) input current, resulting in high power factor and reduced current ripple, meeting IEC 61000-3-2 regulations for wide load range. In addition, the converters operate with zero voltage switching (ZVS) resulting in high efficiency. The steady-state analysis of the converter is performed along with the description of the converter operation stages. Finally, a simplified design procedure is proposed, from where a prototype is designed and built. Furthermore, the experimental results from a laboratory prototype are presented.
