Network topology tracking methodology customized for the fault diagnosis problem in electrical power systems 针对电力系统故障诊断问题的网络拓扑跟踪方法

This paper presents a data structure developed to track the network topology of electrical power systems with the purpose of interconnecting the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) with a generic alarm processor. The interface between SCADA and alarm processor is achieved by identifying the adjacencies of each disconnected component due to the fault. A network topology tracking methodology is proposed to treat logical measurements of switching devices status and the information of data-base describing the network connectivity. In the fault diagnosis problem, this paper demonstrates that the proposed approach is significantly more efficient than processors reported in the literature because it allows to map and to estimate the origin of a fault using a group of suspect equipment.

Long-lifetime SEPIC-buck integrated converter for LED lighting application 用于LED照明应用的长寿命sepic降压集成转换器

This paper presents an analysis and design of a Light Emitting Diode (LED) driver aiming to eliminate/substitute the electrolytic capacitors. Considering the low lifetime of electrolytic capacitors compared to LEDs, this topology aims for reducing the storage capacitance and replaces it by a film capacitor, increasing the system lifetime. This reduction is based on designing of the control dynamic with a compromise between the input current distortion and the output current ripple. The power factor correction (PFC) stage is based on a Single Ended Primary Inductance Converter (SEPIC) because of its intrinsic low input current distortion characteristic making it possible to eliminate the electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter. The power control (PC) stage is performed by a Buck converter using its output current source behavior, suitable for LED application. A 100 W LED driver prototype is implemented resulting in a 6.9% total harmonic distortion (THD) and 30% current ripple on the LED.

Multi-platform education system of frequency inverters 变频器多平台教学系统

This paper presents the development of a system for didactic teaching of frequency inverters monitored by microcontrollers that can supply a three-phase load up to 1 CV, provide remote access and function in multi-platform, i. e., the control can be implemented by any family of microcontrollers, FPGA's and DSP's. In order to help in the development of the prototype the following steps are performed: theoretical review, prototype design and simulation. The experimental results are presented and discussed, validating the study.

Comparison of solar panel models for grid integrations studies 并网研究中太阳能电池板模型的比较

Photovoltaic systems are highly dependent on climatic conditions in which they are submitted. The incident solar irradiance and temperature are the main factors impacting on the power generated by a solar panel. This paper presents three different models of a solar panel and compare, through simulations, their accuracies and efficiencies, and also shows the advantages and applications of each model. Simulations for each model connected to the grid were also made through a controlled inverter. This inverter keeps the voltage at the terminals of the panel in a constant value equal to its maximum power point, provided by the manufacturer. In the end, it is possible to see that two of the presented models have almost the same behavior while the third one has some discrepancy.

Common-mode currents in drive systems using PWM inverters: Project of a filter topology for their mitigation 使用PWM逆变器的驱动系统中的共模电流:用于缓解共模电流的滤波器拓扑方案

This paper provides a characterization of high-frequency leakage currents in PWM inverters feeding AC motors, contextualized in the analysis of an actual case in which the motor presents premature and recurring failure of its bearings, due to circulation of electric current. From the parameters of an equivalent circuit, in terms of cables, motor and inverter return path, a filter is proposed for mitigation of common-mode currents and related phenomena, characterized by a common-mode transformer. Results from simulations and experimental results show that the proposed transformer represents an advantageous alternative in respect to traditional RC and RLC filters, since, in addition to mitigating common-mode phenomena, the transformer dissipates a negligible amount of power.

Comparison between two versions of the discrete wavelet transform for real-time transient detection on synchronous machine terminals 两种离散小波变换在同步机终端实时暂态检测中的比较

The wavelet transform is a powerful tool for real-time detection of transients on synchronous machine terminals which can be used into the control strategy of a power system stabilizer in order to preserve the power system stability. The main goal of this paper is to identify the faster detection of transients in synchronous generator terminals by using the real-time wavelet coefficients of both the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and maximal overlapped discrete wavelet transform (MODWT), as well as identify the best mother wavelet for this purpose. Faults with very damped transients were obtained through an experimental system composed of an actual synchronous generator connected to a simplified power system and good results were obtained, showing the efficacy of the wavelet transform for real-time fault detection.

Alternatives for voltage control in the scenario of Smart Grids 智能电网场景中电压控制的替代方案

Before the deployment of Smart Grids the quality of voltage is replaced by a new focus, because the regulator is able to improve the activity, the user has access to the value of the voltage in real time and the distributor, in turn, needs to meet the regulatory actions and expectations of its customers. Nowadays in conventional networks the voltage adjustment is performed from the reference voltage set point of itself, as in the scenario of Smart Grids beyond this value is also possible to use the records of voltage of other feeder points. In this new scenario is appropriate to identify alternatives related to voltage control in distribution networks, in this way, the present work presents the forecast of voltage for monitoring points located throughout the electrical system. From the results obtained for the prediction is introduced the concept of intelligent control. The presented methodology considers the taking of proactive actions and proposes the development of a tool to support the operating voltage control in real time.

This paper presents the analysis, design, and simulation results for a ZVS bidirectional isolated three-phase DC-DC converter with dual phase-shift and variable duty cycle. The topology uses three single H-bridges in the primary side and a three-phase inverter in the secondary side. The isolation is ensured by using three single-phase transformers connected in open delta-wye configuration. Variation of both phase shift angles between single H-bridge legs and/or primary and secondary side allows the power delivery control. This additional flexibility allows the system to maintain a low reactive power flow. The variable duty cycle is used to ensure a constant voltage bus and ZVS soft switching operation. A detailed analysis is presented considering a model based on fundamental components. Simulations for converter are performed to validate the model used.

Variable speed wind turbine using the squirrel cage induction generator with reduced converter power rating for stand-alone energy systems 变速风力涡轮机使用鼠笼感应发电机与降低转换器额定功率的独立能源系统

This paper presents a new configuration for a wind energy conversion system (WECS) with variable speed, using a squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG) for stand-alone energy system applications. The Proposed configuration utilizes converters with reduced power rating, operates with MPPT to maximum wind energy extraction, uses battery bank for energy storage and can operate with non-linear and unbalanced loads. Energy storage characteristic is desirable for wind energy conversion systems isolated from the mains since an energy interruption does not stop of the entire system. Also, the power rating of the converters is reduced compared to the generator and load power rating due to the low power requirements of the power converters to SCIG excitation control and to supply the load. It is presented also the whole proposed WECS and the system operation modes according the turbine speed. The simulation of the proposed WECS is performed in conjunction with the dynamic wind turbine model of 1 kW and the results confirm the effectiveness to supply unbalanced and non-linear loads, the converters power rating reduction and operation with variable turbine speed. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the system to supply unbalanced and non-linear stand alone loads.

Boost clamped integrated DC/DC topologies with high step-up voltage gain 具有高升压增益的升压箝位集成DC/DC拓扑结构

High step-up voltage gain in DC/DC converters can be achieved by means of the voltage conversion ability of transformers and coupled inductors. Aiming to avoid the problems caused by the leakage inductance of the magnetics, this paper proposes the use of passive clamping circuits. The boost clamping is integrated with a set of isolated topologies forming a family of converters, named Integrated Boost-Isolated DC/DC converters. The method to generate such topologies is presented and discussed. The methodology is also briefly discussed to the buckboost converter. To further analyze the reliability of the method and the characteristics of the derived converters, the two Integrated Boost-Flyback converters have been evaluated. Experimental results obtained from laboratory prototypes proved the reliability of the integration methodology and also pointed out the Series Integrated Boost-Flyback converter as the strongest candidate for high voltage gain applications.
