Trust is a crucial element of education that can be understood as an important precondition of the grow. Furthermore, contextual conditions are important for the development of trust. In spite of this, the role of trust in education system has been scarcely investigated. Research on trust in education is based on varying notions of the term and focuses on different facets and levels of analysis. This includes, first, a distinction between particularised and generalised trust and, secondly, between interpersonal, interorganisational and institutional trust (Faggioli 2018; Lancini, 2020, Muraglia, 2009). This paper introduces a reflection on issues relating to the feeling of trust established in educational contexts, offering possible interconnections with affective, emotional, and interpersonal relationship aspects.

The article focuses on a German-language essay written by Konrad Paul Liessmann in 2006, entitled Theorie der Unbildung. Die Irrtümer der Wissensgesellschaft (Theory of Unbildung. The mistakes of the knowledge society). In this book, the Austrian philosopher dwells on the relationship between the concepts of “Wissen” (knowledge) and "Bildung” (human formation) in contemporary society. With his pedagogical critique, Liessmann formulates here a theory of Unbildung, with a direct reference to the absence of human self-formation – so evident nowadays.

The paper reflects on the training potential of soccer - addressing both professional and youth activities - and investigates the way in which the media have represented (during the 20th century) and represent (today) soccer, emphasizing how narratives and discourses about soccer produce both formative potentials as much as troubling outcomes that can overshadow the authentic values of the sport. The task of pedagogy is precisely to highlight the risks and opportunities of these representations and to promote, in all the actors involved, active attitudes to ensure that soccer, even today, can create opportunities to promote self-care, of the other and of the world.
