Videogames are a fundamental tool in shaping new generations’ collective imagination. In particular, videogames usually present limited depictions of masculinity and femininity and, for this reason, offer canonical norms concerning gender identity. The present paper explores narrative videogames as a key medium to indirectly deconstruct gender canons. Specifically, the paper focuses on the analysis of non-conventional female identities in three videogames based on the adventures of three different protagonists that counteracts gender standards.

The article includes historical notes on the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). From its birth, in the year 1898, up to the present reality. The Italian Referees Association (AIA) is a component of the FIGC made up of football referees. It consists of a central structure and a territorial network and is governed by specific rules for all its functions. Among these rules, the Code of Ethics is of great importance, a document that defines and indicates values connected to ethics, understood as rules of respect and behavior which are essential for football referees.

The paper examines how between 1945 and the first half of the 1970s, football and, more generally, sport was mentioned in textbooks for primary school. For a long time this aspect was either completely ignored or served to admonish and show what the risks of playing in the street are: from colds, to peelings to not infrequently tragic and lethal outcomes. Outdoor games are viewed with pedagogical suspicion and even the simple route between home and school is fraught with danger if one does not behave correctly. Then slowly, around the mid-1960s, textbooks saw timid signs of renewal but prejudices, cautions and rules to conform to did not cease.
