Using EV battery packs for vehicle-to-grid applications: An economic analysis 将电动汽车电池组用于车辆到电网应用:经济分析

Electrification of the transportation segment has long been seen as a promising solution to reduce oil dependency and its environmental impacts. Electric Vehicles (EVs) can also be used as distributed energy resources providing ancillary services to the grid through Vehicle-to-grid (V2G). Incentives through V2G can lead to reduced EV ownership cost, thus increasing their acceptance and overall penetration. However, with high current battery prices and increased battery wear due to more frequent charging and discharging during V2G operations, it becomes economically challenging in realizing a profitable business model. This paper presents an economic analysis of various V2G offerings in consideration of market prices and battery wear cost. Aggregate Power Capacity, from a fleet of EVs is realized by modeling their driving pattern using trip chaining based on data from survey conducted, employment pattern and vehicular statistics. Battery life cycle is analyzed, for achievable cycle counts and net energy transferrable, operating to various depths of discharge (DoD) values. Economic analysis is performed using Singapore data.

Short-term load forecasting for the electric bus station based on GRA-DE-SVR 基于GRA-DE-SVR的电动公交车站短期负荷预测

With large-scale electric vehicles penetrating into power system, the grid will be faced with severe challenges. Accurate charging load forecasting is required to ensure the security and economy of the grid. Firstly, the factors that influence the daily load of electric bus stations are analyzed in this paper. Based on the grey relation theory, samples of similar days are selected to establish SVM prediction model. In order to improve prediction accuracy, differential evolution (DE) algorithm is applied to optimize parameters of SVR model. Through empirical study, the root mean square error (RMSE) of daily load forecasting is 10.85%. Compared with the standard SVM prediction model, the prediction precision of this paper is increased by 1.52%. What's more, the proposed method has better forecasting performance than the other methods.

Electricity pricing and social benefits analysis in interaction between supply and demand 供需互动中的电价与社会效益分析

Electricity price as a market lever plays a key role in interaction between supply and demand. Considering that electricity price in sale market is still regulated in some countries like China, we propose a new method of formulating peak-valley price (PVP) and interruptible price (IP) based on maximizing social benefits. Through implementation of the pricing measures, demand-side resources can be better integrated and exploited. In addition, advantages are complementary when two pricing measures are implemented together. Probabilistic production simulation and genetic algorithms (GA) are used as tools for solving. Results show that the proposed pricing mechanisms are reasonable and implementation of PVP and IP can bring more social benefits.

A survey on distribution system feeder reconfiguration: Objectives and solutions 配电系统馈线重构研究:目标与解决方案

Feeder reconfiguration (FRC) is an important function of distribution automation system. It modifies the topology of distribution network through changing the open/close statuses of tie switches and sectionalizing switches. The change of topology redirects the power flow within the distribution network, in order to obtain a better performance of the system. Various methods have been explored to solve FRC problems. This paper presents a literature survey on distribution system FRC. Among many aspects to be reviewed for a comprehensive study, this paper focuses on FRC objectives and solution methods. The problem definition of FRC is first discussed, the objectives are summarized, and various solution methods are categorized and evaluated.

Synchronous reference frame based control technique for shunt hybrid active power filter under non-ideal voltage 非理想电压下基于同步参考系的并联混合型有源电力滤波器控制技术

A hybrid compensator which is a combination of a three phase four wire shunt active power filter and a parallel passive filter has been presented in this paper. The dominant lower order harmonics as well as reactive power can be compensated by passive elements whereas the active part mitigates remaining distortions and improves the power quality. Modified phase lock loop based synchronous reference frame control strategy is adopted here for active filtering system. The proposed three phase hybrid line conditioning system can be quite effective for recompensing harmonics, reactive power & neutral current under unbalanced grid conditions. The simulated results obtained by MATLAB/SIMULINK power system block set are examined in detail for the validity of suggested approach. A laboratory prototype has been built on dSPACE1104 platform to verify the feasibility of the suggested SHAPF controller.

Under voltage load shedding using voltage stability indices 利用电压稳定指数进行电压下负荷减载

Voltage instability is characterized by loss of a stable operating point due to reactive power deficiency, which causes a drop of voltage profile in significant part of the system. The voltage is stable if the system can maintain its voltage within the acceptable limits when there is a change in load admittance. Voltage collapse may occur when the system is subjected to system fault(s); the occurrence of this phenomenon can be either slowly or drastically depending on the severity of the fault(s) [1]. Therefore, it is more accurate to analyze the system behavior dynamically with respect to voltage stability. This paper presents under voltage load shedding scheme using voltage stability indexes based on system behavior in dynamic environment.

Impact of Electric Vehicle's integration into the economic VAr dispatch algorithm 电动车融入经济VAr调度算法的影响

High penetration of Electric Vehicles (EV) into power grids can enforce major challenges on efficient operation of the system. The solution process of Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch (VAr) which allocates the generator outputs can be either exacerbated or improved. The conventional VAr algorithm is thus reformulated, encompassing EV's operational constraints. As a result, VAr-EV optimization algorithm builds up that minimizes total dispatch costs while taking into account a plethora of system-wise, unit-wise and spatial constraints for a daily operation. Simulation results exhibited that the proposed VAr-EV effectively improves the total dispatch costs and an efficient use of generation sources. However, it can be done by propitious shifts in generation plan from peak to off-peak hours as well as the EV dual operational mode (charging/discharging) advantages. Further, the obtained results represents that employing Newton Raphson (NR) load flow calculation instead of approximated loss techniques can procure an accurate and precise solution, which can also offer a close observation on system status following small breezes in operation. Based on the results, the integration of the EVs into the grid can immensely enhance the socio and techno-economic aspects of the system operation.

Investigation on the AC breakdown voltage of RBDPO Olein RBDPO油中交流击穿电压的研究

Vegetable oil is one of the alternatives for mineral oil as dielectric insulating fluid in transformers. Vegetable oil is environmentally friendly, it is biodegradable, it is renewable and has high flash point which ensure more safety for in-service operation. There are many types of vegetable oils and one of them is palm based oil. Currently, there are different types of palm based oils were considered for transformers application such as Crude Palm Oil (CPO), Palm Kernel Oil (PKO), Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO), Palm Fatty Acid Ester (PFAE) and PKO Alkyl Ester. In this paper, a study is carried out to investigate the AC breakdown voltage of RBDPO Olein before and after dried procedure. The study shown that the AC breakdown voltage have increased significantly after various samples of RBDPO Olein being dried. However, fats and vitamin E contents in each samples demonstrated indefinite effects to the AC breakdown voltage for both conditions.

Cost effective assessment of transformers using machine learning approach 使用机器学习方法评估变压器的成本效益

Furan content in transformer oil is highly correlated with the transformer insulation paper aging. In this paper, the ranges of furan content in power transformer is predicted using measurements of transformer oil tests like breakdown voltage, acidity and water content. Machine learning approach is adopted, and maintenance data collected from 90 transformers are used. A maximum of 67% recognition rate was achieved using Decision Tree classifier. The major challenge of the used data is the relatively low number of available samples in certain furan intervals. Two solutions have been proposed to overcome this imbalanced classification problem, namely, using an over-sampling technique and balancing data distributions by reducing the number of intervals to be predicted to three instead of five intervals. The recognition rate has improved to reach 80%.

Integrated scheduling for intelligent regional grid based on differential evolution 基于差分进化的智能区域电网综合调度

In this paper, a novel integrated scheduling problem for intelligent regional grid (IRG) is introduced. It comprehensively determines the on-off state of the PVs and wind fans as well as the quantity of the adjustable user load, main grid injection and the charge/discharge power of the storage units. Three optimization objectives are considered separately, i.e., to maximize the net income of the regional grid, to minimize the load fluctuating of the main grid and to maximize the efficiency of the renewable resources. In addition, a differential evolution (DE) based solution algorithm is presented to solve this kind of mixed integer programming problem. The influence of parameter settings investigated based on Taguchi method of design-of-experiment. Based on a testing problem simplified from a real-world case, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated.
