The purpose of this article is to introduce into the academic discourse two letters of V. T. Shalamov (1907–1982) to the archeographer and Old Russian literature scholar V. I. Malyshev (1910–1976). Shalamov’s comments to his poem «Avvakum in Pustozersk» form the bulk of the letters; he provides detailed answers to Malyshev’s questions. The article reconstructs the background of this correspondence, using it, as well as the other sources, to specify Shalamov’s perception of the protagonist of his poem.

The publication of the two letters of D. N. Bludov to V. A. Zhukovsky, written in November–December 1803, is an important addition to the plethora of sources concerning the death of Andrei Turgenev (1781–1803), that was formerly researched by V. M. Istrin (1910) and A. L. Zorin (2016). The introductory article contains excerpts from Bludov’s 1802–1803 letters, where the hitherto unknown facts from the biography of Andrei Turgenev are outlined and both correspondents are described. Bludov’s references to Zhukovsky’s life and creative activities help to clarify the history of his endeavor, associated with the notes on Macbeth by J. F. Ducie. Besides, Bludov’s letters contain important information on the fate of Andrei Turgenev’s archive.
D. N. Bludov于1803年11月至12月写给V. A. Zhukovsky的两封信的出版,是对有关安德烈·屠格涅夫(1781-1803)死亡的大量资料的重要补充,这些资料以前由V. M. Istrin(1910)和A. L. Zorin(2016)研究过。

New sources relevant to the study of the history of Russian archeography are published, i. e. the diaries of L. A. Dmitriev and E. A. Maimin that cover the period of their trip to Zaonezhye with the purpose of purchasing old books in the summer of 1948. The diaries contain valuable information on the material and spiritual culture of the post-war Zaonezhye, on local residents, Old Believers, book owners, performers of folk texts. The handwritten and printed books acquired during the expedition are kept today in the V. I. Malyshev Ancient Sources Repository at the IRLI RAS. The published texts are carefully annotated.

The publication, based on the data from the archival fund of the State Academy of Art Sciences (RGALI) and the personal archive of N. K. Gudzij (Department of Manuscripts, Russian State Library), traces the history of the work of a literary historian, textual critic, professor at a legendary academic institution with a rich and tragic history, and introduces unpublished texts of the scholar’s reports, as well as the feedback of his colleagues provided during the debates. The texts and documents reflect the various forms of Gudzij’s involvement in the work of GAKHN and the problem-thematic diversity of his speeches and studies, produced as a part of his work at the Academy (1922– 1929).

This article is yet another contribution to the history of the Second National Congress of the Soviet Writers, held in December 1954. In 2018, the first collection of articles on this topic was published, followed by several other papers that presented the results of further archival research. This contribution focuses on one of the most significant events that took place at the Congress, i. e. on Mikhail Sholokhov’s speech. Comparing various versions of Sholokhov’s speech, both published and unpublished, I seek to trace how it was gradually evolving before and after delivering.
